If by changing the thread, you mean changing the thread title, it depends. Only moderators can edit a thread title and usually it's because the OP forgot to add something vital like spoilers in front of the thread title. Sometimes the thread is grammatically incorrect as well which tends to make some of us twitch. :hmmm:

Yes, they do have the right. There are far too many FFXIII spoilers, and I'm sick of seeing them pop up in the recent threads thingy. The Mods need to jump in there and spoiler tag 'em or something.

Well, if you misspelled something I don't see the harm in changing it. I mean wouldn't wanna sound like you don't know how to spell do you? not saying you in particular but just saying in general.

Other then that, I don't think they should unless it somehow goes against the rules etc.

Well it was changed for the better trust me!
ANd honestly being able to read a clear sentence/Question Is always nice.
I wish the mods could do it in the SB.....Or for some entire posts....I understand english may not be some peoples first language but ugh sometimes it just hurts ones mind.....
Anyhoo Yeah I believe they have every right to do so.

As far as I'm concerned, like Tia, I only edit thread titles if they have a large spoiler in them, or they're difficult to read. If they're hard to read, I'll just correct the spelling, so then people know what the thread's about, and they're more likely to find it if they use the search function :gasp:

Only if it violates a very specific rule.

Although, I do think it's very, very lame when posts are edited or deleted because they contain a joke in a thread in a "serious" forum (..and this Final Fantasy stuff is serious shit mind you..). That's when I think there's an overabundence of time on someone's hands.
