Tidus if he came to you and said he was from the past Zanarkand from 1000 years ago? What would your reaction be? Why do you think the party actually started to believe him towards the end?

Discuss.

Id think he was off his rocker & no doubt laugh my head off at him

I think they started to believe him as they started to know him & because of Auron and possibly Jecht seeing as they had both been to that Zanarkand aswel

Well, none really knew about Jecht until they got to Mt.Gagazet.

And Noone knew about Auron until the end of the game.

Well...some trippy stuff exists in the world of Final Fantasy. Talking animals, magically suspended water that serves as sporting arenas, etc. I guess I'd believe him.

If some random dude walked up to me in real life and told me he was Tidus from 1,000 years in the past, I'd be more skeptical.

Yuna believed him from the beginning but the others I think they believed him when they started founding those spheres, I dunno that's what I think

All things considered, I'd probably of believed him. Annoying though he may have been, he was a well meaning, honest fellow.. and what reason would he have to lie?

If it happened in real life...no I wouldn't believe him. But as far as the game went, Yuna believed him from the start, and I think the others started believing him after the battle with Seymour on Gagazet.

well if some guy walked up to me and told me was from the past i would first smell him to c if he smells of any alchoholic substances then i would take him to hospital to have him tested for drugs and if he was clean for both i would call him really old and leave him to his own life.

and i believe the party started to believe him towards the end because all the talk of Jecht being sin... oh yea and the fact that he passes through Yuna right before he jumps of the Airship

Reality: "So...you're from the past? 1000 years you say...intriuging. Come with me i'll take you to somewhere...see those nice men over there with the white coats on...yes and the syringes...yes and the strait jackets. They will help you. Honest to fucking god. Bye (fucking basket case). Its not logical sense to be from the past.

Final Fantasy: "You're from the past you say...100 years. FUCKING COOLIO! You're my new best friend...you're so orgasmic. I want you to be my guardian. *kisses*" Final fantasy. Fantasy. Nuf said. You can make up anything and believe anything. Thats why FF is so cool.

I'll split my opinion:

-In real life: No, I would say he is out of his mind. Though if he brings proof, maybe I would believe him.

-In final fantasy like life: Possibly I would believe him, since everything is possible in ff games.

If Tidus came into this world, i would laugh my ass off. But in Spira where people still believe "atonement" will save them with Sin being around for a 1000 years, Tidus' story would be one of the few things id believe.

If I was in a Final Fantasy game, I'd have to consider the events that have gone on in the past and the knowledge he held or told in order to believe him. I mean, Yuna saw the exact same thing when Jecht came along and met her father, and she put 2 and 2 together to connect Jecht and Tidus. She didn't have to be convinced to believe, it was like deja vu for her all over again, but she was now older.

Wakka however for some reason took a bit longer to convince. He was skeptic about it, and still distraught over the loss of his brother, wprobably had his head spinning when he saw the physical similarities.
