Hello, im new here and was wanting to see if any FF11 player's or anybody for that matter has a buddy key, if so pm me :P

But thats beside the point, what im curious about is will you let your kid's play final fantasy?

i know i will, i have a sealed copy of FF9 untouched, that i plan on sharing with my kid when he gets of age, FF9 was my favorite and im currently searching for others. so far ive attained 7-x2 all in plastic and never opened. i plan on letting my kids experience this wonderful series

My daughter already watches me play, so I dont see why not, it's not like there's anything WRONG with introducing the nippers to FF, once she's a little older she might wanna have a dabble, though, I get a bit twitchy when other people play FF when Im in the room and try to take over, so Il probably inadvertently make her hate it

Here's hoping my kids are of the persuasion where they'll want to pick up FF on their own. And also that Square is still pumping out quality FF's at the point when I have children. If not, I'll probably regale them with stories of Red Mages and Setzer and Sister Ray and Daguerreo.

My daughter is 5 years old and she already knew about FF when she was 3 years old, so she's on the way there. Sometimes I'll hear her make random 'FF7 battle victory' sounds here and there and it's very funny hearing her do it. I'll think, "Hey, I know that tune..." and then it hit ya' - it really is quite amazing. She also knows all the main characters from FFX since she watched me and her daddy play it for a few months. There's other FF games she's quite familiar with, but I know that we both can't wait for FFXIII - she's gonna love it! So in short, yes my children will definitely be introduced to the FF series.

By the time I'll have kids, they will probably be playing FFXXIII on a PlayStation 5 :p

But since parents always show kids they stuff they love to do, why not show them Final Fantasy? Also, this would be an perfect excuses to spend a lot of money on gaming equipment :D

I hope our kids don't get so spoiled that they are too good for playing old classics. The graphics and overall quality of games are going to improve so much in the near future.

Interesting question.

I think I will introduce my kids to Final Fantasy, provided it is still there at the time. Then again, by that age, who knows if I'm still an avid fan of the series? Nevertheless, it would help if it's still famous at the time I have kids. Makes it easier for me to introduce it as well.

So, in short, my answer is rather dependent on it's fame at the time I have kids. Famous equates to a definite introduction to my kids. Not so famous by then would be hard to say. We'll see my mood at the time then? :P

If they're popular in the future, then I'll get them the most recent FF as a gift for Christmas or their birthday. However, if FF's aren't being produced anymore when I have kids, then it depends on whether or not they're into gaming. If they are, then I'll show a few of my "old" ones to them.

I'd like for my kids to play the games that I play right now.

Hm, I suppose I will, but plans change. I mean, my tastes could change I could outgrow video games... but yeah, I do plan on showing my kids what I did in the good ole' days <3

Well I've been playing it since I was 4 so If I have kids and they like games I will introduce them to Final fantasy, that just means I will have to keep all the consoles and games. Hopefully they will like games at the age I started too but if not I won't force it on them.

Ill show my children FF, which by then might be all dusty and covered in cobwebs, and then have them laugh in my face about how old I am. Then Ill prevent them from playing any of their video games until they beat each FF game and give me a detailed report on the plot and characters. Oh how cruel am I

I don't think I'd go as far as to keep any sealed copies of a FF game, but I want to certainly keep all of my FF games forever and I do plan on sharing these games with my children. I certainly hope I can get them into the series just as much as I love these games.

I will show them to my kids, if the series exists that long. I may not show them the older games and be called some fossil :mokken: If they see the games, I will share my knowledge with them. I may force it upon them if I see them playing any sports games, though.

I would for sure. Theres nothing wrong with showing the new generation the stuff that use to and still does entertain you. Its nice to hear some parents already let their kids play or watch FF.

Well, I don't plan on having kids, but if I ever do, I probably will. :3 It played a big part in my childhood and it'd be nice to pass it on. Although, by the time I pop any out, we'll all be playing virtual reality games or something hi-tech like that. We'll be in the game, rather than sitting infront of a telly all day mashing buttons.

I would hope FF is still around by the time I have children, else when I least suspect it, they'll sell my games that would be worth a fortune by then to buy candies or some stupid shite like that Dx

I dunno what the general consensus is on adults/parents playing video games are, but I'd like to think that I'd still be playing my games, and FF would be in my priority list. So I'm sure if I had kids, they'd be wondering what the feck I was doing and try to get in on it xD

I'm not completely sure if I want kids, but if I ever decide that I do want to have kids, I'm definitely going to show them Final Fantasy. I'd be sure to show them the old ones first, since I've been playing them since I was a kid, and hopefully they would enjoy it as much as I did as a kid.

If Square Enix is still making Final Fantasies by the time I finally have a kid, I'd probably show them or buy those games for them too. The Final Fantasy games are something I know for a fact I'd show to my children, since they're such great games.

If ever have children, then of course ! pretty sure they would like a Final Fantasy like IX with Kingdoms and castles and then slowly upgrade them on the series as they mature. Then hopefully they will replay the games that they played at a younger age, and view/ see them as a different limelight. It would be awesome if Final Fantasy became one of their main parts of their childhood. =)

In other words, yes. yes of course !

Already have a little. I have an 18 mo old daughter - you ask her what the Moogle says, and she'll promptly respond, "Kupo, kupo!".
