Fellow fans i don't know if this question is already asked but i would love to ask you on this I'm curios about i would like your opinions thanks.

1.Why some people if not most people only care about graphics?

I mean they always want the biggest gen consoles and they either hate the classics or dislike the classics and yes ff10 is one of the examples sure PS2 is outdated console i don't care i say it again i love my PlayStation 2,my PlayStation 1 games and my PlayStation 2 games.

2.This is the main one to the point why some people if not most people hate the/or dislikes the classics and yes ff10 is one of the examples?

Don't get me wrong i love other games too besides the classics and I've been playing more of PS1 games and PS2 games far more then my Xbox360 for now and i play them if i ever want to and depends on the game(s) i feel like playing and the other gamers in my opinion if they hate the classics then they don't know a masterpiece game when they see one or more.

Sorry for the rant this bugged me and I'm curios about and yes I'm still a PlayStation 2 male fan and no i don't know am i only fan left and if i am then so be it and they always can give me the games they don't want anymore :) and yes i admit i have far more favorite games and all time favorite games on PS1 games and PS2 games if i tried them already and if i love it.

And of course one of the games i do consider a masterpiece is ff10 and if you like other examples don't hesitate to let me know and thanks for your opinions and thanks for your honesty and thanks for the help :)

I think the whole "if it doesn't have insane graphics then this game sucks!" mentality has died down a little over the last year or so. Most of the people I talk to (adults) really don't care too much about the graphics. As long as its doesn't look like utter shit (I'm talking Atari graphics here) then they don't care. The same goes for me.

I honestly don't even care about the graphics as long as the game is fun.

This is like society: Looks are everything, it doesnt matter how intelligent you are or how a good person you are, if you dont look good then you are discarded like garbage the same can be said for graphics, the game could have the ultimate gameplay but if doesnt look good the game is as good as dead.

The gaming media is a society and so its faults are present too, i couldnt careless about graphics and the same is to how i look so i say to hell to people that disregard a game just for its graphics and that judge a people onhow they look.

I agree with the quote. Take Minecraft for example (which I FINALLY got). Graphically it should have came out 25 years ago, but goddamn is it fun.

Its not like people hate games with bad graphics is just that years of advance in technology makes people unable to enjoy previous iterations of that product like with cellphones, now it has to have camera, music reproduction video recording and all that crap, it had really got to the point were now thiefs has those standard too, i got assaulted by one thief that asked for my Cellphone i gave it to him and HE RETURNED IT TO ME just because it was a normal celphone with no camera, no music player and all that, imagine my surprise.

Oh well.. Thats why I always carry a dummy phone.. Not that my main phone is something special but still(you can buy with with like 40/50 euros)...Regarding the graphics.. I guess this generation of kids were taught to judge games by the graphics.. its not really their fault they dont know any better

I generally don't care about graphics at all. I'm not watching a game, I'm playing it, it's the gaming and the story I enjoy, not so much the pretty graphics (though they're a nice added bonus if the rest is good). I will say though that I can't really play the games that are so old they only have sprite characters (ffVI) and below. I have tried, but I can't really get into characters that really are just a few pixels. Maybe it's my age, but I can't do it sadly :( so other than that I don't care about graphics.

The new wave of gamers that came along like, 2006 or so, have more or less been spoiled by the industry itself. During the PS2 era and so, developers mostly prioritised game mechanics over graphics because of limited memory. When gaming became more popular and mainstream, coupled with the release of the seventh gen consoles, great graphics became possible. They became something of a selling point, especially with PCs becoming more and more powerful, developers had to improve the game graphical fidelity further to stay relevant. This has unfortunately made gamers expect graphics similar to Crysis, The Last of Us or The Witcher 3 from all of their game purchases. The industry has fed us with the sham that graphics=quality, which alot of people have come to believe. So they are easily put off by outdated or unpolished graphics, even if the game itself was or is great.

I'm for both graphics and gameplay. For older games, I can excuse it; for new games, anything that promotes the pixelart fad outside of mobile games is automatically unappealing. Why? Graphics are the most efficient means of displaying technological advancement with only AI coming in second, whereas pixelart is just piss-poor whiny sportsmanship since there's more than enough room to have both graphics and gameplay.
