WHY ARE YOU IN ENGLISH?!

My Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle Season 2 came in today and I was so stoked!















....until I saw that it's the English Funimation dub version.



Typically I like to just enjoy anime without having to read.. but the voices.. these voices.. are particularly terrible in English.

Funimation dubs are generally pretty terrible. I'm not a huge fan of dubs myself but the Cowboy Bebop dub was done quite well.

Cardcaptors did have a good dub. Sakura sounds like a 5 year old child in TRC. It's like they tried to match the pitch of the Jap voice.. it's just.. awful.

Funimation are just... I thought 4Kids was bad.

I miss the days of good dubbing. The 90s, when anime wasn't such a mindless craze glorified by bad cosplay and even worse fanfiction

4kids with their censoring are bad. Funimation is just terrible. I'd take them over 4Kids anytime though.

I remember the blatant gay relationship in Cardcaptors. After watching that, I asked my mum if men could get married.

James from Pokemon was always cross-dressing. I remember when I was in journalism class in school and we got to write fake articles during April for April Fools Day. I wrote one about Pokemon being cancelled for being a bad influence on kids. We got a lot of angry responses.

What's even more unsettling was The Sailor Stars season of Sailor Moon. There was so much wrong with it, 4Kids couldn't even attempt at dubbing it for us. There was no way they could save it. xD
