Where do you get your thread ideas from?

Do you get them from songs? Books? Things from TV? Share them here.

I usually get mine from video games these days, with posts usually just asking for opinions or help on a particular section. It used to be that I'd just get them from old Beatles songs and somehow make a topic around it.

What about you?
 
I don't make a lot of threads, so I only really make them when I have a general question I want to ask or if I have some idea that's been bugging me for a while. Looking back, a lot of the threads I made had to do with anime.
 
It's usually just summat that randomly pops in my head with me if its anywhere other than the gaming section.

If its the FF area, then it depends what game Im playing and how much its winding me up and I will probably go on a thread creating spree

I'm usually doing something in my normal day that I don't usually do, or something annoys me or a random thought occurs. If I remember to I'll come online and make a thread about it. >.<

Sometimes I'll be watching movie trailers and if I like it I'll post the trailer for all to see and get opinions on the movie etc.

Depends on what kind of mood I'm in.

If there's not much threads left to post in, I'll make a thread just to keep me entertained.

Not really made that many threads.
 
It all depends, ya know? Usually something I hear in class might give me an idea and I'll run off to post about it (Like I did in that debate thread "Do guys like girl gamers"). Sometimes I'll make a thread about something I don't feel is being addressed, or I just want to see what people think on an issue (Like the Zero Salvation thread). Most often, though, I make threads that are quirky and fun and I delight in the asshattery of the whole thing (like the Necrophilia debate thread).

When you get right down to it, random shit inspires me and my inner need to cause hilarity and spread sarcasm drives me to make threads. :3
 
Sometimes something just randomly come to my head and I'll make a topic about it. And other times I feel like making a thread so I'll sit and think of a topic. XD

But most of mine are FF based these days.
 
It all really depends. Though, I don't make many threads and if I do it's usually all from my head :ryan: Sometimes i'll post something to get peoples thoughts and whatnot of a certain thing. Other times, I have good ideas for threads but either 1) they're taken or 2) too lazy/tired to look xD. Either way, I mainly get my ideas from my noggin =P
 
I haven't the faintest idea, sometimes i just get them out of nowhere. Other times i see or hear something that reminds me of something i did recently or in the past. I don't try to think of any because i can never come up with anything.
 
I usually think of some mindless topic that doesn't require much thought or effort. People seem to be drawn to those the most.
