What's your major in College?

For HS students, what do you plan on majoring in?

For alumni, what was your major?

Also, if you'd like to answer, what do you plan on doing with your major? As in, how are you going to apply it in life?

I'm currently majoring in Pre-Med, though I don't think I could technically say that yet in my Freshman year. So I suppose right now it's leaning more towards "Biology" or "Bio Medicine".

I'm going to take a random guess and say you're a UCSD student. :monster:

I'm an architecture major at San Diego Mesa College, planning to transfer to UC Berkeley to the College of Environmental Design. Plan on being a full designer --- i.e. Architect/Landscape Architect/Interior Design and build skyscrapers for a living.

Still in High School. Planning to major in Psychiatry or something related to this field. I find the way humans behave, react or feel under the various circumstances rather intriguing, so, I suppose this course would be the one for me when the time comes.

I was majoring in Economics but now I can't be arsed with that, so I'm changing to a double major in history and classics at the start of next semester.

Recently graduated History major, and my specialization is antebellum US History. I'm planning on being a high school teacher, though with the current economic climate, there are limited oportunities.

I'm majoring in East Asian Studies and minoring in Linguistics. I plan to go over to Japan and teach English and/or becoming a translator.

I graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island. This month I will be employed for 2 years at a company called Systems Engineering and Analytics Inc. which is a subcontractor for the Department of Defense. That makes me a Systems Mechanical Engineer.

I studied Management Information Systems with a bit of Computer Science in the mix. My trade goes into C# programming mostly, but I have to constantly deal with a slew of other computer languages as well. Anywhere from Java, C++, XML to .net vb languages. Here at my job I mostly test the code. I could do some developing, but I would probably need to train up a bit since I'm a bit outdated in my coding.

I'm majoring in English with a concentration in Secondary Education. And it's a LOT more work that I ever could've imagined. :gasp: papers galore.

I'm currently majoring in media. But I have to choose a second major. It's a toss up between politics, history or anthropology, but I'm leaning more towards history for my second major.
