What you want out of the FF clans?

So we are talking about reviving the FF clans, and I am curious to know what people want out of them? What would you want to see if you joined them?

Creative writing competitions, GFX competitions? Random games? Tell us here so we know!

Not really sure song lyrics and fanfictions were pretty fun though if fanfictions are done again they need a bit more freedom. I think last time there was a Cloti in a Harry Potter universe and I felt like I couldn't do that because I haven't picked up a Harry Potter book since about 2005 as the last book I liked was The Goblet of Fire. After Sirius Black died I was like " Fuck this ".

The Quizzes were fun too.

Can't go wrong with a quiz. The last one I did on here was the one with really obscure questions like what color is Cids rug in ffvii ._., really racked my brains

I think the quizzes are a definite "Yes" because they are relatively simple to create and fun to participate in.

I'm always for more graphics contests but I think that would have to be discussed with Kira since it's really her thing to do. Seeing some traditional art competitions might be great as well, it gives a good alternative to GFX competitions if it is deemed a better idea to save that aspect of the forum for Spira exclusively.

It might be sort of wicked to have singing contests as well, depending of course on what the members feel comfortable with.

Fanfictions sound like fun, evidently you did them before so no reason to not do it again.

We could also do fandub competitions if that floats anyone's boat.

Character Popularity contests (aka Rumbles) are also quick things to set up, they can be run just as something casual and not too strenuous.

It would be pretty cool to have Triple Triad tournaments as well. I mean, it's Final Fantasy related so I don't see why not.

I think that's it as far as suggestions, if you need any more voluteers to help organise or run events, I would be more than happy to help. Good luck with getting these clans back in action, we're looking forward to seeing this happen!

Other tournaments on other platforms like big steam games that everyone plays;
alot of people play COD on PS3.. Just stuff that loads of people have; The more the merrier in terms of competition participants in my experience.

Galadin came up with a lot of really awesome and very different ideas. It's just a matter of whether or not people would be up for some of the stuff. I'd totally pwn you all in a singing contest. Seriously though, I'm liking the tournament idea, singing, pretty much all of them. We're gonna need some variety eventually. Not everything can be GFX/writing/the usual stuff. Y'know? Galadin knows what's up.

As long as it gets some more activity going, I'm up for anything that #WeThePeople come up with.

Fandubbing sounds really fun though how do you do it ? Do you need to buy some computer speaker or something ???

I liked the character competition/battle things. The quiz's are pretty easy and fast to set up, but I was never very good at them. The art and writing contests I really liked too. There were some music ones too, where a few different songs were mixed up and we had to identify them. I really liked those too.

Some in built computer microphones do the job quite nicely, however it varies depending on the quality of the machine. Personally I would use a stand alone microphone and program like Audacity (which is free) to do fandubbing. I understand of course that not everyone can get a microphone but perhaps we'll be lucky in that enough people can either get a loan, use their computer mics if they are good enough quality or use some sort of recording device they may already have.
