Hello, my fellow forum members! I'm Malgrun, or really, just call me Angul or Angelica, I have no idea what a Malgrun would be anyway. But what I do know is that I come in peace. I'm 17 (going on 18 in less than a month, January 10th.) and Swedish, so if my grammar or spelling seems to be a little funky sometimes, I'll just blame it on that.

I'm currently a student, in a programme with focus on art. It's not an art school or anything, but we've got art for 8 hours a week, and the purpose is to try seriously EVERYTHING and learn the basics. I don't know what I'm going to do after my last year (which would be the next) but I'm still aiming for art. I've always been drawing, and I can't see anything else I feel I'd like to do with my life.

Fiction. I love fiction, in all it's forms. Be it books, movies, music, games. I feed on inspiring stories, and I guess that's why I've been enjoying FF so much.
For books, I'm of course a Tolkien fan, no denying that. But I'd say my favourite authors are Holly Black, Douglas Adams and for the moment I've been ploughing through Mortal Engines and it's three follow ups by Philip Reeve. Movie nerd, always been one. As a kid I liked everything by Tim Burton, without at the time knowing the movies were by the same director. Other favourites would be Star Wars (I have however, not watched the newer movies yet...), Indiana Jones, Zoolander, Alien, Fight Club, Kill Bill, Shaun of The Dead, Död Snö, Forrest Gump and Miyazaki's works yadayada..
When it comes to music I'm a huge Kent (Swedish band) and Tori Amos fan, but mainly my little music machine is stuffed with instrumental music, be it the classics or soundtracks from movies.

The whole anime and manga phase is pretty much over for me, but I have my history with it, but I still got some of my undying favourite stories out of it, such as Dorohedoro (!!) Neon Genesis Evangelion and Gurren Lagann. I still read One Piece. When someone is creating something, having honest fun, you notice it, and that is One Piece.

Games? Hm. I don't consider myself a gamer at all. For the moment I'm playing through Shadow of The Colossus, and it's just stunning. As for Final Fantasy, I was introduced to it pretty late, FFX being my first game. And what a game! I think I was 14 at the time, and since then I've been trying to catch up with previous titles. FFVI would be my favourite, but X will always be precious. I'm also playing through IV and V whenever I've got time on my sleeve, and I've finished VII, VIII and XII as well. I think I've wasted my life on XII, but I regret nothing! Loving that beautiful game and that fine arcadian gentleman of a sky pirate. What I missed were more character interaction, but I guess I'm spoiled after the numerous cutscenes of FFX. I signed up here on the FF forums because I need to outlive my little FF obsession somewhere, since I don't have any local FF nerds, haha.

My other puny little interests are people, culture, history, mythology, owls, sea creatures, hands, noses, the world in general and SHOPPING FOR CLOTHES!

And with that last unintelligent little outburst I end my wall of text. :bird:

Haha I realized that. But I'll only do it once, so why not do it for real! Thank you~

Yeah! Welcome to the forum (this intro is so generic).
Nice to meet you... Malgrun :D If you need anything feel free to ask. Also..
That was quite an impressive wall of text.

My best friend would love you, she's obsessed with owls :mokken:

Anyway, welcome to the forums :ryan:

@Bambi: I'm owl obsession incarnated, I would probably love your friend as well.

Thank you all~ This seems to be quite the active forum.

Welcome to the forums!

Enjoy, have fun, be friendly, post lots..etc. ^_^

how can you already be over anime? :O I still watch it, seen it for years, relatives of mine in their late 30's still watching ;p

anyways welcome :P

@Ohri-Jin: I guess I'm not "over" it or something, but I'm not exactly looking for new titles to consume right now xD I feel like I've been around the genre enough for the moment, if something new and interesting comes up that I get to know of, maybe I'll check it out.

@Joey Star: Some eye practise from time to time is just healthy ; ) (I think. If they're severly damaged, you have my deepest apologies.)

Thank you all~~

Mate, you are a seriously quirky lady. 8( I like it.

It will not fool anyone who read your first post thoroughly, though; hell, it was more eloquent (and profound, in a bizarre, depraved sort of way <_<) than a great many people I know who have the benefit of English as a first language. You have rather a knack for the syntax . . .

Well, you have my unqualified respect at this point. I can fully empathize with the artistic attitude that the question of what one wishes to do is one that must be asked before considerations of economic feasibility are made. The life of the cautious, unremarkable person entering a career in business and commerce on the advice of cautious, unremarkable parents has been lived far too many times before. Artists owe them a certain debt for the society they dutifully maintain, but it is the artists who make said society at all livable.

See, if I woke up tomorrow morning as a female, I could say with great confidence that my name would be Angelica. <_<

If you do not mind terribly, I will now present additional evidence of your complete and amusing insanity:

You state these two things quite eloquently (the first an artistic insight, and the second a bizarre turn of English expression -- "time on your sleeve" is one I have never heard), and follow it up with a bomb like that. *_* People, culture, history, and mythology pretty much covers it all. Add in references to animals and human anatomy, and you . . .

Ah. <_< You . . . did. You know, someone is going to have to provide you with a copy of Devil May Cry 2 and prove to you that not every aspect of existence is enjoyable. ;)

@ Vice Nebulosa: Haha I must say your post warmed me up a little here in my winter clad home. (Seriously, it's been
snowing constantly for over a week soon! I'm feeling all nostalgic and christmasy finally. That Sweden should have
polarbears and penguins roaming around the streets is for anyone with just an ounce of geographical cunning not
true at all, but these last years that "theory" has been even more of a blatant lie since we haven't had snow at all like
we used to in the winter. However, now it's finally thigh high again here and everything is just..beautiful. I find
myself going out more in the winter than I do in, well, the summer.)
Ok I should stop talking about weather.
Thanks for the warm welcome, brought a smile to my sleep deprived, tired face. ;) Glad someone enjoyed my post so thorougly.
