Do you remember when you were a kid? When your parent's tried to get you to believe in Santa and would wait til christmas eve to hide the presents under the tree?

Or were you one of the kids who never believed in him from the start?

I remember when i was a kid and i believed in him, though i didn't quite understand how he got to all the houses in one night without missing a beat really. I believed in him til i was about 9, and the presents began appearing under the tree before christmas time with santa's name already on the tag. My paren'ts were stupid.

Also, do your paren'ts still try and surprise you at christmas or do they take you shopping for what you want prior to christmas day?

Mine personally used to take me out around this time of year every year to pick out what i wanted for christmas from the time i was 9 til now.

I was pretty young - about five or 6 when I stopped believing in father Christmas, you can blame my child minder for that ololol

My mum wasn't best pleased

There's always stuff my mum gets me that I don't know Im getting, every year with out fail, apart from last year when she got me my DS because she outright said she'd get me one to stop me buying myself one xD

I've NO idea what Im getting this year, off any one -__-

Although, tbh, I think Im a little o0ld now, so I know I won't be getting much, it's just nice to get the odd surprise off Santa :monster:

When it concerns big gaming packages, I kinda know what Im getting, my mother is clueless as to what to get me if she is on her own. I do get surprises still every year though =]

Can't remember when I stopped believing in Santa tbh. BUT! St.Nic was a real person okai? :gasp:

I still believe in Santa, even if I first found out that Santa is my family, when I was 6. I believe that Santa( my family) brings me gifts, so I can count this as believing in Santa :)

I can't remember the age when I stopped believing, but I know it was quite young.

I'd say around 5-6...
Well, I never really believed my Mum and Dad, when they told me where all the presents came from every year. No-one accuarly told me, I just figured it out.

I think I found a present in my Mum and Dad's room, and I confronted my Mum and asked her why she had it and not Santa. She told me, Santa comes to collect them and then delivers them on Christmas, and then I deifinatly did not believe.

Although, I wish I still did believe because it's not the same as it used to be every Christmas.

6. When you see three Santas in different locations in the space of an hour you tend not to believe. Since I was eight they asked me what I wanted for Xmas and they got it, if it was reasonable. Although I normally waited until my parents went to sleep then I took what I wanted and played with it. Since I live in a different time zone than Jesus, I don't think it really mattered if I opened my presents before Christmas day.

I believed in Santa just once when I was 5 years old and stopped believing in him during Christmas time that year when I caught grandpa putting presents under the tree! Since then, I started spreading that Santa is just a close relative in disguise. I also thought that Santa was a bad guy living in hell mistaking him from Satan! Geez, that was pretty dumb:wacky:

I stopped believing in the jolly fat-man pretty young. i just stopped believing in the idea that there is an all-knowning, omni-sentient being that only watches you when you're doing something good or bad. it was just too far-fetched....i guess i was a bit of a weird 6 year old...and a mean one since i told everyone in my class that Santa wasn't real.

I was pretty young around 10. Its crap cause Christmas has never been the same since i found that out. When you believed in santa you thought you could get anything you wanted for Christmas, then you find out its your folks and they say something like ' moneys tight this year, dont expect much.' cheers ma.

I don't ever remember really believing in him, but it was fun pretending and putting all of the milk and cookies out and crap...

I was around 8 or so. I have to give my parents credit though, since I would have an empty pillow case at the end of my bed and no matter how late I went to bed or how early I got up it would always have presents in it when I woke up.

I usually tell my parents what I want, but they often surprise me with things I'm not expecting. I've never been out with them while they shopped for Christmas presents.

I think I stopped believing the myth at around 9 or 10. Which is kinda late, I think. I had been a very imaginative child who believed that somewhere out there, magic did exist, but once I was around that age, I had come to terms with the truth of logic. My mom never wanted to actually tell me the truth, though.

I've lived in buildings for most of my life, so when I would ask my mom how Santa could come to our home without a chimney, she said he would go up through the fire escape. XD

Although, I wish I still did believe because it's not the same as it used to be every Christmas.

So true..
I miss childhood innocence.

I was 9, and before then I was a "religious" believer so to speak. Yeah, id get pissed every year because "Santa" wouldnt get me the stuff I had broke my back for, but I still believed... until that night. I heard a rumbling in the living room, and when I peeked through the door, there was my mother with all the gifts. I was devastated at first, but then I got my kicks spreading the truth about it to my siblings , friends, and other people. Yeah, I was HATED fot that. heh heh

I was around 9 years old when I stopped believing in ol' Saint Nick. Sneaky little me hid in the living room closet waiting for Santa to arrive, but instead of seeing a jolly, fat man dressed in red putting presents under the tree, I saw my parents. I didn't tell them I knew the truth until I was about 12 though xD

Nowadays my parents usually just let me go show them what I want for Christmas, then they get it. My mom usually gets one or two things for me I'm not expecting though just so I'll be a little suprised on Christmas day.

I was too young. My older brother told me when I was like 5 and I was the total opposite of stubborn and believed him :-\ lol

I can't really remember how old I was when I was told that Santa Claus doesn't exist. I just remember my mom telling me outright that he didn't exist, and how it was her that ate the cookies and drank the milk we left out. I think she told my brother and I at the same time. I wasn't really devastated or anything. I was kind of like, "Oh..."

I can't rememeber exactly but it'll be somewhere between the ages of 5 and 8. I was going through the typical dubious phase and went out of my way to prove to my mum and dad that they were lying to me. Oh-so originally, they had hidden the christmas presents in their room, one year, and I deliberately stayed awake one christmas eve to catch my dad. My room is next to the stairs and my door was open, looking out to the landing. My parents' room is further away than mine, so he had to walk past my open door and eyes with a rather large bag of presents, at which point he screamed "You little shite! :wacky:" xD

I stop believing in Santa when I was very young. I don't remember what age I was but it was when I use to leave cookies and milk out for Santa and I caught my dad eatting one of the cookies. That is when I start to believe there was no Santa. I know my dad did it as a tradition to make us believe that there was a Santa but as you get older, it's hard to keep that tradition going when you catch your parents in the act of trying to be Santa.

I guess I kind of semi-believed in him when I was real young...? I was always pretty sceptical of the whole delivering presents to the good boys and girls around the entire world in one night. I wonder why...maybe you can figure it out? XD!

Seriously though, because it is impossible, especially for a portly fellow like that Santa Claus character is described as. :P

Can't remember 100% to put a number on how old I was when it was officially confirmed to me that he doesn't exist, I can't remember very much that far back, my memory can be poor, although I've never forgotten my Brawl Friend Code. :gasp:
