I've come up with a new voting thread!
People have come up with their new recipes (and Ignis has jotted them all down and stolen them). It is finally time for us to vote for our favourite FFF recipe for 2020!

The order presented is the order in which Paddy McGee will eat them in his new cooking channel.

Please do not vote for your own entries.

Recipe 8:

Name of dish: Oglop di uovo

Photograph:
Oglop di uovo.jpg

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cadbury Creme Egg
  • 1 white marshmallow of a relatively ordinary size
  • Chocolate buttons (such as Cadbury Buttons or close equivalent)
  • A relatively sturdy stick of sweet liquorice (not a stringy, wobbly sort)
  • Chocolate icing
  • White icing

Recipe instructions:
  1. Make your chocolate icing and white icing (or use pre-made mixtures) - only a small amount needed
  2. Unwrap Cadbury Creme Egg and resist the temptation to devour it immediately like a savage
  3. Plop a dollop of chocolate icing on a plate and press the Creme Egg on top of it to secure it (you don't want your oglop to scurry off!)
  4. Make sure that the Creme Egg's pointy end is facing down (it is the bug's bottom)
  5. Cut a round slice of marshmallow and press it onto the top of the Creme Egg to create the head - do not use the whole marshmallow, just a slice
  6. Cut up a stick of liquorice: two small pieces (antennae) and four larger pieces (legs)
  7. Press the antennae pieces into the marshmallow at the top of the head to secure them
  8. Dip the other pieces of liquorice into the chocolate icing and use this mixture to secure them to the Creme Egg body (using your fingers helps to ensure the icing makes a good seal)
  9. Carefully cut up two chocolate buttons so that you can create eyes
  10. Place the buttons into position on the marshmallow head - you now have the eyelids
  11. Use smaller pieces of marshmallow (leftovers from your earlier marshmallow) to create the eyeball within the lids
  12. Use a tiny crumb of the cut-up chocolate buttons to create the pupil for the eyes - press them on
  13. Use other residual pieces of the chocolate buttons to create the teeth lines and press them into the jaw
  14. Use some white icing and make three thick strips to create the body definition
  15. Eat and enjoy!
Warning: Just be careful not to choke, so it is recommended that you pluck the legs off first instead of just biting into it like Quina would.

I was having a hard time deciding on which one to vote for! Everyone's Grudge was really cute once I realized that it was a drink - as well as a Tonberry! That angle made the difference  I settled on the Oglop di uovo though. It was just a really cute & clever idea that I admire the thought & time that went into it, even though I don't really like the licorice legs (flavor-wise  ) It's almost too cute to eat!

Good job everyone! I look forward to the recipe contest the most every time we have events!

Now off to buy some Young Ronso Delight for my cats!

4, 7 and 8 had me in stitches. I was gonna vote for 4, but to be honest I feel like 7 so nicely done it almost feels like a crime not to vote for it. :lew:

Ignis nicked your recipes, replicated them, and then Quina licked them all off the table.

I thank all of you for entering! As always, I've appreciated the variety presented here.

When the world gets better again, should we ever meet up we must definitely taste test these together...

I.... demand a recount.

You do get kudos points for presenting cat food as your recipe entry. I didn't think the row of jelly beans from a previous iteration of this contest could be topped, but I was wrong. 😹
