[V5] What are you currently listening to?

Rocker here, so I always listen to classic bands like Led. This song is one of my favs of theirs. That harmonica-sound is bloody brilliant, and the drums are so heavy and dark sounding. And Plants voice is just outstanding in this one.

Bloody brilliant song.:gasp:

Yuki Kajiura- "Margulis and Pellegri"

This one is a nice instrumental from the Xenosaga Episode III soundtrack. It's really peaceful and kind of mellow; it happens at a point when the characters in the title
are feeling sentimental about their mission to return to their religion's place of origin
. It's a short song but it's very pretty.

Sweetness by Jimmy Eat World

I haven't heard it in a long time and just had a feeling that really wanted me to listen to it. I love it, mostly because it reminds me of when I was younger....

Since I forgot how to put Youtube videos in posts, I'll link to the song lol

Hit - Diana Vickers

Although it's a cover of an old Sugarcubes song, and Bjork undoubtedly sings it better, I still love this version. It's quirky and kooky enough to work with Diana's voice, and although the song is quite old, she manages to make it sound modern and fresh. One of the surprise songs on her album.

You and I - Park Bom

I don't speak a lick of Korean so I had to google the lyrics and ended up coming across the video. Such a cute song with such a cute meaning! Plus, this song really suits Park Bom's vocals. She has a powerful voice and this really shows how powerful it is. :-) It's been on repeat all day. It's funny how americanised her Korean is too.

Let It Happen - Jimmy Eat World

This song grew quickest on me from all the Jimmy Eat World songs out there. The message is amazing, and it's awesome how so many people can relate to it. No matter which way you put it, there's no denying that the message in this song is great. I love how the recognizable sound of Jimmy Eat World is in all their songs, you can really tell it's a Jimmy song.

Once again, not only the lyrics but the music is AMAZING in this song as well. It's definitely my favourite out of all their songs at the moment. Could listen to it all day. Was even covering it on the guitar earlier. Definitely gonna cover this one.

The chorus is my favourite part. It just screams to be heard. =] <3

I have a ringing in my head, and no one to help me answer it,
Even with you close enough to kiss.
Every minute is arranged, every moment lasts a day.
But thinking about it can't help me let go, I know...

I must look like I'm running away - to you at your faster pace,
Wonder what it is you could have seen in me.
Yeah, I'm the evil one who said, I'm gonna let everything just happen,
And like my chest my ears are proud, the collision is such an ugly sound.

I can hear you now.

Talk, talking a lot, but it's still talk.
Gotta love how it's somehow all on me.
All the petty scenes, and all the pretty things.
Say whatever you want - 'cause I can laugh it off.

^ I actually read the comments! I've made it a point to read yours haha. :-)

S.H.E - SHERO
I feel sort of bad for not listening to English music! Every song I've listed here so far is Japanese/Korean/Chinese! Oh well. If people are thinking about getting into this kind of music I suppose my playlist I've sort of built up here is good for them. Anyways, onto the song: It's the first song on their new album I *cough*downloaded*cough*. Great opening track, I really like the random English words in it. Good vocals, good song!

The Von Bondies - "C'mon. C'mon"

This song is just awesome, it sounds like an early punk rock song by the kinks or the clash. It's just great. Also the drums are really great.

Kele Okereke - Tenderoni

I don't think it's out yet... I just listened to a radio rip on YouTube. It kinda reminds me of What Planet You On by Bodyrox but it seems more grungy and it really combines dance and indie well.

Massive tune. :ryan:

Mockingbird-Eminem

I love Eminem <3 His songs are just fantastic. Very very sad song to be honest :hmmm: I think that's what makes him sucha good rapper the lyrics are personal and it's very touching.
love this song & him a lot he's very talented.

♪Yeah
I know sometimes things may not always make sense to you right now
But hey, what daddy always tell you?
Straighten up little soldier
Stiffen up that upper lip
What you crying about?
You got me

Hailie I know you miss your mom and I know you miss your dad
Well I'm gone but I'm trying to give you the life that I never had
I can see you're sad, even when you smile, even when you laugh
I can see it in your eyes, deep inside you want to cry
Cause you're scared, I ain't there?
Daddy's with you in your prayers
No more crying, wipe them tears
Daddy's here, no more nightmares
We gon' pull together through it, we gon' do it
Laney uncles crazy, ain't he?
Yeah but he loves you girl and you better know it
We're all we got in this world
When it spins, when it swirls
When it whirls, when it twirls
Two little beautiful girls
Lookin' puzzled, in a daze
I know it's confusing you
Daddy's always on the move, mamma's always on the news
I try to keep you sheltered from it but somehow it seems
The harder that I try to do that, the more it backfires on me
All the things growing up his daddy that he had to see
Daddy don't want you to see but you see just as much as he did
We did not plan it to be this way, your mother and me
But things have gotten so bad between us
I don't see us ever being together ever again
Like we used to be when we was teenagers
But then of course everything always happens for a reason
I guess it was never meant to be
But it's just something we have no control over and that's what destiny is
But no more worries, rest your head and go to sleep
Maybe one day we'll wake up and this will all just be a dream

[Chorus]
Now hush little baby, don't you cry
Everything's gonna be alright
Stiffen that upper lip up little lady, I told ya
Daddy's here to hold ya through the night
I know mommy's not here right now and we don't know why
We feel how we feel inside
It may seem a little crazy, pretty baby
But I promise momma's gon' be alright

It's funny
I remember back one year when daddy had no money
Mommy wrapped the Christmas presents up
And stuck 'em under the tree and said some of 'em were from me
Cause daddy couldn't buy 'em
I'll never forget that Christmas I sat up the whole night crying
Cause daddy felt like a bum, see daddy had a job
But his job was to keep the food on the table for you and mom
And at the time every house that we lived in
Either kept getting broken into and robbed
Or shot up on the block and your mom was saving money for you in a jar
Tryna start a piggy bank for you so you could go to college
Almost had a thousand dollars till someone broke in and stole it
And I know it hurt so bad it broke your momma's heart
And it seemed like everything was just startin' to fall apart
Mom and dad was arguin' a lot so momma moved back
On the Chalmers in the flat one bedroom apartment
And dad moved back to the other side of 8 Mile on Novara
And that's when daddy went to California with his CD and met Dr. Dre
And flew you and momma out to see me
But daddy had to work, you and momma had to leave me
Then you started seeing daddy on the T.V. and momma didn't like it
And you and Laney were to young to understand it
Papa was a rollin' stone, momma developed a habit
And it all happened too fast for either one of us to grab it
I'm just sorry you were there and had to witness it first hand
Cause all I ever wanted to do was just make you proud
Now I'm sitting in this empty house, just reminiscing
Lookin' at your baby pictures, it just trips me out
To see how much you both have grown, it's almost like you're sisters now
Wow, guess you pretty much are and daddy's still here
Laney I'm talkin' to you too, daddy's still here
I like the sound of that, yeah
It's got a ring to it don't it?
Shh, momma's only gone for the moment

[Chorus]

And if you ask me too
Daddy's gonna buy you a mockingbird
I'mma give you the world
I'mma buy a diamond ring for you
I'mma sing for you
I'll do anything for you to see you smile
And if that mockingbird don't sing and that ring don't shine
I'mma break that birdies neck
I'll go back to the jeweler who sold it to ya
And make him eat every carat don't fuck with dad (haha) ♪

Telephone [Demo] - Britney Spears

This is a weird one, it totally skips out the Beyoncé parts - showing how important Beyoncé is to the song - but at the same time, it sounds quite good. Britney may not have a good voice, or be able to sing live, but she has a distinctive voice. I really think she should explore GaGa territory on her next solo album, it works quite well, at least it does in this demo.

Know Why The Nightingale Sings - Nightwish.

Nightwish in general gets me in the mood to work on my Bleach fic, but this song really fits the part I'm trying to work on atm. It's just so ... soothing in its own little way.

I love the guitar and Tarja's voice is just magical. (But then, I think that on all her songs). It's just an all round amazing song, in my opinion.

Labyrinth Of Madness by Rhapsody of Fire

An instrumental bonus track off of ROF's latest: 'The Frozen Tears Of Angels'. The entire album is more guitar driven than their previous releases but this one definitely breaks the "Rhapsody formula". What caught my attention in this track is the clever use of the whole-tone scale help paint the picture of an insanely designed labyrinth. At least that was the experience for me.

That does it. I need to go listen to that song again after this one's over.

Katayoku no Tori - Shikata Akiko

Honestly, this is one of the songs I found when looking for Umineko music. It turned up I believe on Gendou so I've grabbed it. I love the way all the music from that series sounds :)

Halo- Blow Me Away

I always see this music when i watch AMW of my fav character in a certain series, its amazing,i think its my fav halo song, its from halo 2.

Artist: Sarah McLachan
Song: Ordinary Miracle
Album: Charlotte's Web

It's a very sweet melody, totally fits this heart-warming story. The speed flows gradually along with Sarah's gentle voice. It's perfect without a fault ^_^
