:ugh: The Fanclub

I'll write one if you can help me put together some good arguing points :hmmm: Though to whom would we send it?

Okay, sounds good :) And how should we start it, something like "We the undersigned..."? :hmmm:

Yeah, that sounds about right. A point that we must make out, no matter what, would be the point that he was only removed due to the fact that he looked different. You might as well say that you don't want people that look different on the boards.

Also, he captured the emotion of "ugh" fucking perfectly and spot on. :mokken:

Let them know that we think it's a travesty that he was removed, and demand justice on behalf of him. In fact, we feel so strongly towards the subject, we have him in our siggys, and we even started a fanclub.

Here's a point...do we really need the following?
:amarant: :zidane: :garnet: :cloud: ect.? I mean, we are a final fantasy site, but these emotes are (n), so why did we keep them instead of keeping :ugh: and :seabass: and all the other great emotes? Ugh was a very valid emote for emotions and other such things, but frankly, :cactuar: has no emotional expression in it's meaning. Its a cactus for god sake. Ugh was capable of expressing what he were feeling at whtever moment. It has a point, ugly or not...

Sounds great :D I'll get to work on it.
...Should I use the word "siggys" though? ^_^

Well...while I'll admit I do feel like a cactus sometimes (it's hot as hell here and I drink tons of water), I can definitely see your point. TBH there a lot of emotes here that I for one rarely find any use for. And the character emotes especially. And even those have been chosen discriminatingly--has anyone noticed there are no Steiner, Freya, Quina, Eiko, Irvine, Quistis, or Cait Sith smilies, even though other characters from their respective games are there? :mokken: And they got rid of Rydia, the only one I ever did use :sad3:

Things must definitely change here on the emote front. *grabs pitchfork and lights torch*

Ugh was capable of expressing what he were feeling at whtever moment. It has a point, ugly or not...

Fully agree, this is censorship at it's ugliest.

Ugh was as unpleasant as you could have hoped it to be, now I find myself struggling to fully convey my disgust in the sb :mokken:

We're living in truly, truly dark times if he remains in exile.

Here's a question though, if Ugh dies of old age the lineage is gone, surely he should find a bride and consolidate his lineage? :hmmm:

*grabs a regular fork and lights a match"

I agree, but we need better weaponry than these...well, tools.

And We could do without the following...
:tumbleweed: :pikamon: :locked: :tongue1: :yuna: :wakka: :amarant: :ami: :sparta: :vivi: :tonberry: :shesaid: :edea: :zack: :inuyasha: :squall: :yuffie: :vincent: :pitler: :naraku: :moogle: :starwars: :lulu: :jon: :inukag: :neg: :beatrix: :rikku:

the list goes on for a long while though. I never have felt like any of those to be completely honest. But I have felt Ugh before, and in fact, I feel ugh now :mokken:

:tonberry: ...

Oh, absolutely. My apologies to anyone who likes him but Tonberry can burn in hell, he reminds me of the guy who ferries souls across the river Styx and he's creepy as f*** :rage: We should keep Vivi though, I have used him on occasion to express the use of pyrotechnics :D

Anyway, I ought to get on that petition now :hmmm:

You cant get rid of this one :jon:

Its the perfect 'alright fine then if im not wanted' emote

how many of these do we need?

:elmo: :monster: :pikamon: :monsmash: :gmonster: :neomon:

All right, I have a petition drawn up. How's this:

Please restore the :ugh: smiley to the FFF.

We, the Undersigned, have unanimously decided that it would be in the best interests of the Final Fantasy Forum (FFF) to return the smiley titled :ugh: to the site's emote library. We feel that his removal was unfair and unjust, and beseech you to consider our arguments for his readmission:

1. The nature of his dismissal. :ugh: was excommunicated based solely on his external appearance, following a flurry of insults and vilifications made by those who feel his image is distasteful. While we understand that people differ in their opinions of aesthetic appeal, we do not believe it is morally sound to restrict any entity from society based on his, her, or its physical attributes. The implementation of such restrictions against human members of the site would surely never be acceptable, let alone considered; and as emotes are, by design, intended to act as extensions of ourselves for the purpose of expression, we would expect any smiley, regardless of its appearance, to be extended the same courtesy as the members themselves.

2. The value of :ugh: as an expressive outlet. There are times in the life of every person when no words can express the feelings being harbored within. And many times, those feelings are of disgust, revulsion, or downright nausea. When one experiences such feelings, one does not make a pleasant face worthy of being admired for its unequivocable radiance and beauty. One cringes, and one's face takes on what some consider to be a rather unflattering appearance. Upon careful analysis of the composition of :ugh:, we feel that his execution of this is without flaw. The distressed eyebrows, traumatized eyes, and pained grimace of his visage are more evocative of the disgust feeling than any other emote we have ever experienced.

3. The continuing support of :ugh: in his absence. Upon the removal of :ugh: from FFF, many members rejoiced, thankful to never have to look upon him again. However, several of us were deeply saddened, and vowed never to let his plight fade into the shadows of ancient history. As a result, we, the Undersigned, have established a fanclub for the purpose of celebrating :ugh:'s splendor and majesty. In it we discuss his triumphs and achievements, compose positive :ugh:-related media, and through the grace of the "Copy Image Location" function, have even granted him a permanent residence in our signatures, so that he may live on despite his widespread rejection. As the creation and/or inclusion of emotes in the FFF library is based on popular demand, we feel that these efforts give more than sufficient cause for him to be reinstated. We have, in fact, created the first and only fanclub on FFF dedicated to a smiley; that in itself should establish his value here.

In sum, we feel that the restoration of :ugh: to unrestricted use on the FFF would be a positive move for many reasons, and we urge you to return him to the collection of available emotes here. We believe it is a travesty that he has been removed, and demand justice on his behalf.

Sincerely,

i am a large user of emotes. and were it to be brought back i would use it sparingly because of my often feeling in a way that can only be described by :ugh:

i wish to add what ever help i can to aid your cause. expect my full support
