Two New Birth By Sleep Scans of Kairi from Famitsu

More pictures of Kairi have appeared in Famitsu magazine scans prompting questions as to how much of an impact she will have on the story of the upcoming PSP title Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep.

The first scan shows Kairi listening to her grandmother who we had previously seen in the original Kingdom Hearts during a flashback witnessed by Sora. The second scan shows Aqua bowing to King Mickey as Kairi looks on innocently holding some flowers.

These scans seem to have more of a focus on Kairi leading us to believe she will play much more of a key role in the story of Birth By Sleep, doubt still remains however that she will feature as a playable character.

Playable character? Dead God I hope not. I'd happily have her as a playable character in KH or KH2 but not BBS, she's what 5 or 6 years old? Fat lot of good she's gonna do.
I'd rather have her as a cameo appearance tbh =/

I'm with Ryan on this, she doesn't look physically able to fight anyway, unless they do what they did with Queen Minnie in KH2 and have her for a small portion of a level to help fend off heartless with holy magic I wonder if it'll bring to light Kairi's time in Radiant Garden and how she lost all her memories of it (unless SE just put it down to 'being too young to remember')

Aww... Kairi is barely taller than Mickey!

However I can see her being captured again in this game. A previous scan showed something similar to this. I can't remember the previous scan exactly but hopefully I'm not too wrong.

And I don't really want her as a playable character unless it's a cute little brief scene and not a long period. She's only about 4 years old anyway so I don't expect much fighting from a toddler.

Omg, please make Aqua and Kairi hug just so I can do it vicariously myself! Dx

But really, Kairi's appearance really intrigues me. We were told back in KH1 she came to Destiny Islands in a meteor shower and know that she's a princes from Radiant Garden/Hollow Bastian, but very little was explored on her since then. I hope we can see how it all got in motion then ^^

I barely even remember a lot of the backstory to Kairi, so this game could be a good refresher. As long as she's not playable. That could be a game breaker.

A 6 year old Kairi as a playable character? That does not sound epic at all. She looks nice though, in these scans. Hope her background is elaborated on more

I'm with everyone else in that I don't think she'd make a great playable character. >.<

It seems a bit ridiculous to be honest. XD

Though she is rather cute. Look how tiny she is next to Mickey. XD
