So I'm bored and I really, really, really miss this game. I'm coping with Nostalgia by listening to the OST.

Final Fantasy X, to date, is my favorite.

What is your favorite top five soundtracks from Final Fantasy X? If there's one thing that never fails in a FF game, it's the music.

I love all the tracks, give or take a few, but here's my top five.

• Calm Before The Storm / Yuna's Determination - noticeably played in the Calm Lands. - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88470TlMxKw

• Luca - Very peaceful and relaxing - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOlw-veritY

• Assault/Raid - The Airship theme that plays when party crash Yuna's Wedding - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_PjUvwHBs4

• Summoned Beast Battle - Penance Theme, Aeon Battles - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXiMaCXnbck

• Last but not least, the Battle Theme. Oh yes. - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C34BzC7rnos

My favourite would be : To zanarkand - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-0G_FI61a8 - This song is my favourite of all the games in the series. It is so beautiful, soothing yet depressing. It really represents the journey that was FF X.
2nd - Someday the dream will end - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xRCjjiTR7I&feature=related - This song has meaning based in the game's context therefore I will not be stating anything about it other than that it is an amazing song not to spoil anyone.
3rd - Via Purifico/Path of Repentance - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TA5PpkNdKbM - This song is one of the best representations of Pain and Suffering I have come across. It is a song that transmits a feeling of agony but is very rewarding to listen to.
4th - Calm Lands - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88470TlMxKw - Soothing and calming as the place it is played.
5th - Thunder Plains - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6gg8pQm4fE - I love the touch of mistery and discovery in this song.

In no particular order...

- Yuna's Theme (this song mostly reminds me of how I grew up around FFX and how it was "the game of my childhood", there's just something about it that I just love.)
- Wandering Flame (this is a piece I adore a lot because of how calming, hypnotic and soothing it is. The piece has a sense of tranquility and serenity about it and I just love it.)
- Otherworld (Me being a Metal Fan, this is a song I "rock out" to ALOT, love the vocals as well as the guitar solos throughout the song (if that's what they're called. xD)
- The Sight of Spira (A nice, mellow Guitar Piece and fits in well with the feel and setting of Kilika, where it plays. I also how it incorporates the melody which features in many other tracks on the OST.)
- Challenge (My favourite of all of boss/battle themes, I don't know but there's something about this piece that "urges" you to fight and "go for it".)

In no particular order:

To Zanarkand and The Ending Theme, which includes a more complex version of To Zanarkand. Both pieces are incredibly powerful, conveying the sadness, the courage and the friendship experienced on Yuna's pilgrimage.

Suteki Da Ne, one the most beautiful vocal pieces! The piece opens with a series of gentle rolling chords which flow seamlessly into the melancholy, passionate opening on the violin. The gentle chords on (I think) the guitar continue, even when the violin fades out. Then Rikki begins to sing. Never have I heard a voice so beautiful, elegant or calming! :gasp: Everything within this piece is played to perfection. The voilin solo which bridges the chorus and second set of verses is so poignant and heartfelt, it is beyond this world. :lew:

I absolutely love the Battle Theme too! :yay: It's incredibly catchy and always puts me in a good mood, making each battle thrilling and enjoyable.

Tidus' Theme is also pretty high on the list for its arrangement, pacing and sound, but a little higher on the list, I'd add People of the North Pole. I can't listen to this without remembering
Kimahri's story and the pain he must have suffered whilst being tormented and rejected by his people. :sad3: I hear his brothers calling him 'Hornless!'

In order with #1 being my fave.

1. A Contest of Aeons/Summoned Beast Battle (Arguably the greatest boss battle theme in Final Fantasy history. It's an AMAZINGLY powerful piece)

2. Fight With Seymour (Another amazing boss battle theme, I honestly dance and jig when I fight to this theme ^_^)

3. Otherworld (A very un-Final Fantasy like piece, but that's what makes it so unique, it's amazing to battle to)

4. Final Battle (Should have been used on something else, it was too epic for what it was used for :lew: )

5. Assault/Raid (A piece that just said "Hurry up" to me)

Finally, someone who actually likes the ruins of Zanarkand (Someday the dream will end) theme. =o

I go for these:

1) Assault - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAAfQkSUb90&fmt=18
2) People of the North Pole - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6YMf4x16eY&fmt=18
3) Seymour's final battle - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srv8Jp1GwM8&fmt=18
4) The ending theme - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5g1O4-t1RY&fmt=18
5) Thunder Plains - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7k1CGUxespg&fmt=18

I also have to mention the techno version of prelude and of course the fleeting dreams song. FFX's soundtrack is so damn strong it's hard for me to pick just five.

The Assault theme is just downright catchy for me. Mt. Gagazet's theme I think just holds all the emotions at that moment in the story, I think it's exactly like the Zanarkand song, its just perfect for what it tries to convey.

Seymour's final battle theme I just LOVE listening to, it just gets me nodding away for some reason. The ending theme just provokes all the memories of playing FFX and the Thunder Plains song is just something of a different vibe. I really do think FFX's soundtrack was just immense.

There were some pretty good ones this is in no particular order but here are my 5.
1. Path of Repentance - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tiJJ2xVS6tU&list=PLC3B0F566317DD275
2. Start - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGRSpzefz9I&list=PLC3B0F566317DD275
3. Battle With Seymour - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oALMxql7PWc&list=PLC3B0F566317DD275
4. Enemy Attack (Boss Theme) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQfDsVhS9BA&list=PLC3B0F566317DD275
5. Auron's Theme -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14gA4R4e-cU&list=PLC3B0F566317DD275

Via Purifico (Path of Repentance) I enjoy that piano solo. It's very calming yet tense at the same time. I sometimes play this when I'm doing writing.

Start is just catchy to me personally

Battle with Seymour - Intense music for intense villian. The music starts slow at first, but after the first twenty seconds, BOOM! You suddenly hear a change of pace in the music and you know in the back of your mind IT IS ON!

Enemy Attack (Boss Theme) - I was torn over this one and the battle theme, but after listening to both, I get more of an urgent feeling that shit is about to go down with this one, whereas with the battle it's more heroic.

Auron's theme - The sad thing is I nearly forgot about this one, and that's sad considering he's my favorite character in the game. Whenever I hear this music I always think of a stoic and calm badass. Auron fits the bill.

1. Someday This Dream Will End
2. The Besaid Island Theme
3. Path of Repentance
4. Auron's Theme
5. To Zanarkand
