Top 10 Most Annoying Final Fantasy Moments

Oh, man...I would have to agree with all of those!!!! xD But I don't know much about FF8, so I can't say for those FF8 parts and some other ones, too...but DEFINITELY cloister of trials!!!! I laughed so hard when it appeared as the first one. Hated those! And that song that constantly plays over and over to make you aware that you have not passed it yet! xD

High encounter rates are a blessiong and a curse. When i want to grind, i NEVER get battles. When i want to explore, every step is a fight.

Lol good video. It left out the yuffie scene though!

Agree with Zidane's low steal rate - gosh!! What's the point of learning master thief if the odds of stealing are still low?!

Also, the Thunder Plains were pretty annoying (especially when you consider that side quest where you have to avoid getting striked). >.>

I never even bothered stealing anything with Zidane. There's also that awkward moment when you use Thunder Slash and hope to pwn all, but then it doesn't connect. Dagger being an annoying witch and not going through with commands until fuck all. The sphere things with Tidus was a serious pain in the arse. Finally, Negative status aliments were indeed the worst thing around. Those made what should have been easy battles, much harder. I'll end with a... Fuck you, Steiner. Great video, I really enjoyed it. XD

They left out those scenes in FF4 and FF5 where you talk to a dancing girl, and you can't move for 30 seconds while watching a pixelated girl "dancing." Those scenes are annoying.

Trance in Final Fantasy IX when it happens just when you are about to deliver the killing blow to some trivial enemy and just before a tough fight where you could have actually put it to good use.

No qualms with the choices, though sans Trance. I can't express just how much I have grown to hate random encounters lately. It's antiquated, and I don't wish for its return.

I have yet to get to them in FFXIII-2, but I will preemptively say the clock puzzles will absolutely do my head in, unless the ironic reverse is true and I end up loving them, despite finding the rest of the game to be woefully mediocre so far. Hey, given that so many other people online are essentially terrified of having to do more of them, they can't be all wrong, surely?

I'll say the FFXIII and FFXIII-2 battle systems can both really do my head in. Even in some lower-rate encounters and battles, some monsters just don't seem to want to die quickly, and I have to Stagger them before I can finally increase the damage. The games decide to be annoying by making the Stagger bar go up as gradually as possible while I hammer the X button with boredom, and waiting for a good couple of minutes before it can finally end. I am then greeted with a stupid battle rating screen and a pittance of rewards for that fight.

And for some reason, FFXIII-2's soundtrack is horrible. I can't understand why people like it, because nearly all tracks I've heard so far are unlikeable. Most have unnecessary vocals and the singing can get to screeching levels, while I plod through areas such as the Sunleth Waterscape. I find myself having to mute the game nowadays, turning it back on just to be enchanted by Liam O'Brien's voice. :ari:

As mentioned, Trance is stupid. I want to save it for that boss, but nooooooo! It's used up in a regular random battle instead and I have no actual control over it. Who decided this would be a good idea?

Then there's Crisis Core's DMW system, which hardly needs an explanation. Yes, to level up, there is actually a hidden mechanic that racks up the probability with the more enemies you kill, but it hardly exonerates what I found to be an annoying system. Like Trance, I take issue with the fact that I don't actually exercise control over what Limit Breaks and GF moves I want/need, and when to whip them out. It got to the point that Cissnei's DMW result became the default most useful one.

EDIT:

Bombs. You try and quickly take them out, then they blow up on you, taking away a good chunk of your health. I can't remember now if FFXIII's battle rating system at the end laughs at you for it or not.

I definitely agree with the Sorceress Adel fight...I depended way too much on my GFs in that game and was only in my late 20s in character levels which didn't help at all. I never got past that section in the game. I also agree with the large encounter rate; I swear that Final Fantasy II has the highest random encounter rate of the series
