Tidus & Chappu

They look the same, but that's all there is.
Tidus wasn't even real. He was a dream of the Fayth, whereas Chappu was Wakka's brother and was born to real people and everything
 
They have the same kind of attitude and they kind of look alike apart from the hair...

That´s why Wakka likes Tidus so much!
 
Yeah they apparantly look the same(i didnt think so) and as pooley said about tidus being the dream of the faith and all. Also chappu isnt even alive when tidus arrives in spira
 
Meh, who knows? Personally, I don't think there's a connection because Square never really went into great details about Chappu at all. If they wanted to give the players hints about there being a connection, they would have. But never did we see any hint that came close to Tidus being connected to Chappu, other than the fact that they look similar.

Now, look at Shuyin and Tidus. Square gave A LOT of hints that there might indeed be a connection between the two, although they never really made it official. It's all "theories." They want to make us think. But as far as Chappu and Tidus go, I don't think they wanted us to think about a connection at all, since there's really no information about Chappu.
 
Well, the obvious connection is Brotherhood but I shouldn't think there's a deeper connection because Tidus isn't real and Chappu is. When you say "connection" what exactly do you mean? do you think they might be related?
 
I think the only connection is their looks. The Zanarkand that Tidus is from, apart from being a dream, is far far in the past. There's not really any way that they could be related. The ancestor possibility is extremely remote, but is the only way. Even then, it's a 1 in a trillion chance, I think.

I thought that was brilliant. All the way through they kept saying Tidus looked like Wakka and when you see Chappu, I thought he was more like Wakka. :D
 
I don't beleive they really looked the same to tell the truth but maybe that's because tidus had long hair. Anyway the only connection is their appearance. but I think Tidus and Wakka had a brother/brother type relationship anyway. I mean the way they act around eachother and all.
 
i belive as post about it is just attitudes..
unless the brotherhood has some sort of mystical powers of chappu inside... to make tidus a brillaint fighter
because its early in the story when he gets it and you cannot sell it, then tidus is a much better fighter with it than a long sword
