Out of all the possible parties you can use, or are forced to use, which one would you say is the worst party of all time?

I was discussing this with Tia this morning, so she inspired this thread xD

For me, it has to be the awful team of Cecil, Yang, Tellah and Cid in FFIV.

Paladin Cecil fails, he doesn't hit very hard, has lousy defence, and his white magic is sub-par at best. None of the four can take a hit without getting really hurt or going down.

Yang has an amazing attack, but he seems really susceptible to status ailments, and his defence is totally shit. Cid has awful offence and defense.

As for Tellah, his lack of MP REALLY lets him down. In a game so reliant on spell casting, having Tellah as your only mage is...awful D:

Thoughts? Can you recall another forced party that's worse than this one, or can you load a save and create an even worse one? :gasp:

No fantasy parties, they have to be legitimate and obtainable in the game.
 
Anytime I get stuck with Rinoa in VIII I want to cry. I haven't finished the game but so far she has been utterly and completely useless. :ffs: Everyone else seems fine, but she's weak as all get out and her magic ability seems to suck compared to everyone else's. Also, I remember in the beginning of VI, when you control three different parties consisting of Locke and some moogles, there was one group of four moogles that were just really awful, they had almost no attack power and low HP, if I'm remembering correctly :hmmm:

Never before had I felt as impotent as I did whilst (attempting) to fight with Vanille and Sazh on FFXIII.

The must have characters of that FF are Lightning and Hope, then its a toss up between Snow and Fang.

Sazh just about manages to cover the commando role and Vanille makes an ok Ravager. I had to force myself to trudge through the parts where I had to control them. Both now sit firmly on teh sidelines and have done since I had the option to discard them.
 
Worst Party huh?
I'd have to say...... can't really think of a party that has ever caused me to
cringe at least in FF, but then it hits me like a Thunderbolt. Everyone from FFXII
those guys were all crappy, but the worst would have to be Vaan,Pennello & Fran.

But any off those guys could fit in there, just a bad group of fighters
 
Lightning and Hope, in FFXIII. A cold, bland and thoroughly uninteresting soldier stereotype, and a whiny little brat I want to shove off the precipice or throw to a Behemoth. Worst Final Fantasy experience I have ever had the misfortune of slogging through, no contest.
 
Id have to say Sahz and Vanille when you switch over to just the two of them early in the game their stats tend to be crappy even with their "crystarium" rather well built up...Their attacks just sucked period..I actually had the urge to just run from everything when I played as them to get it over with as quickely as possible....and that I can honestly say is the first time I ever wanted to run from a fight in a game o_0..it was a rather odd feeling
 
I have to say
Tidus/ Lulu, Rikku and Yuna

Tidus- Sucks at hitting, all he has is his speed and white magic
Rikku- Once you're out of items, you are skrewed
Yuna- Once you're out of MP and Aions you are skrewed
Lulu- as much as I love Lulu, once you run out of MP, game over
 
I agree with the Lightning & Hope combination in FFXIII. I absolutely hated it. I just couldn't work it out. :\ My friend were like, they're the best duo to have! I was like WHAT!? The amount of times Hope nearly KO'd! I finally got the hang of it though, but story-wise it wasn't any better. >_> He was Tidus reincarnated. I was very close to pulling my hair out.

Second worse would have to be the underwater trio on FFX, which was Rikku/Wakka/Tidus. Whenever I would have to do a battle with those three, it would always be when they were really weak. They didn't even come in handy in monster arena when I was training them, I still found it really hard to work with them. :(
 
Despite the fact that they're actually useful characters, I can't stand having Cait Sith (FFVII) or Quina (FFIX) in my party. There's somethin' about silly characters that really puts me off playing 'em.

The gayest party of all. And to think those three defeated Vegnagun. Not only that, they have stupid dresspheres and their levels goe up to 99 and that's it. Done. Can't do nothing about it. They have little HP and are downright pointless. Who thought it would be a good idea to make a party of three girlies? They irritate me. GAH!

Thus I dub thee Yuna, Rikku and Paine from Final Fantasy X-2 the Worst Party Of All Time. Enough said.
 
Im gonna agree with Sazh and Vanille. Sazh barely does any damage unless you put him in ravager, even then he doesn't do much. Vanille impressed me early in the game, but when they got to the city where they eventually fought Sazh's edilon(not even going to attempt to spell it:P ) the quality went way down. Vanille is good as a medic, i used her in my first Bartandelous(spelling?) fight and she was great as a medic.

But still, damage wise thums way way down.
