The Tale of the Forgotten - RP

Upon Julius's arrival, Arthvader stood up and headed towards the center. When Julius requested that they use only swords, Arthvader replies "I understand, Julius. Let us have a good match then." As he drew out his mana sword, ready to begin the match. "Get ready Julius, Here I come." Arthvader said as he began his pursuit with a barrage of horizontal swings, aiming towards the abdomen area.

(Le Battle Round # 2:wacky:)
Though his body was here, his mind lied elsewhere lost in his own thoughts. As soon as the battle began, Julius clearly got hit by the first attack, a straight hit to his torso. Though protected by his armor, the momentum was good enough to push him a few meters away from the other attacks, thus giving Julius enough time to parry the rest of Arthvader's movements. The last blocked was one aimed to his torso once more, the blade clearly stopped by the egde of Julius's sword held firmly with strong hands. Julius bent his knees to gain momentum and used it to push his opponent's sword away from himself, thus widening the distence between them.

"I am impressed."

Now fully focused on this fight, Julius bent his knees and then he pushed himself towards Arthvader, sprinted as fast as he could. As soon as he considered Arthvader to be at sword's range, Julius made a 360 degree spin, unleashing a powerful horizontal sword swing from left to right, clearly aimed to Arthvader's torso with bone shattering force.

After his last attack, Arthvader was barely able to defend against Julius's fierce attack, only for his defense to crumble. Julius's attack penetrated his defenses and made direct contact, causing Arthvader to fall back several meters, crashing against the wall. The attack has also wounded Arthvader's torso.

'Ugh, that hurt. I denfinitly have got to be more careful.'

"Not bad, Julius. I see this could get very interesting."

As he landed back on the ground, Arthvader used this time to dash towards Julius. As soon as he was in distance with his sword, he delivered a horizontal swing at Julius's chest, followed by a poke towards Julius's neck.

(hey taking hits makes our battle more realistic. We are getting better at RP Battles, right Arth?)

Julius' torso bent as Arthvader's sword pushed him away striking, but not piercing, the metal plates protecting his torso. The attacked was followed by a slight hit to the neck that knocked Julius' helm off. As the helm struck the ground, Julius slowly turned neck and set his eyes on Arthvader, there was a serious expression on his face. As he regained his focus and concentration, Julius quickly made a threatening sign by swinging his sword from left to right, a slight air current headed towards Arthvader lifting dust and blades of grass all around him. Julius suddenly noticed some blood coming from a small cut on his lower lip.

"Hmmm, interesting. You've improved a lot since our last battle. Our speed and endurance are almost equal. I see that I could trust your courage and skill in battle, when the time comes. Anyway..."

Julius ran towards Arthvader, his eyes set on his opponent and moments before shortening the distance between them, Julius made a swift leap, heading to Arthvader. He landed close to him and soon unleashed a dreadful assault on his opponent that started with a clean lunge towards Arthvader's already wounded torso. The attack, if successful, would be followed by a swift left kick to the ankle, a clever attempt to knock Arthvader off balance.

Felldoh shook his head. Even from what he could tell, Julius was only taking it easy on Arth. Thinking of how Arth had betrayed their cause, Felldoh's face burned. He blushed with anger at the thought of it; his skin was beet red under his light brown fur.

He took his eyes off his new opponent, and set his sights upon the courtyard itself. He brightened a little at seeing several targets on the other side. As to why they would be in a castle courtyard, Felldoh was without answer, but he wasn't going to complain. He picked up his bundle of spears and his casters, careful not to prick himself on the barbs, and headed off towards the targets.

He made sure to skirt the radius of the battle, going a ways behind Arthvader. Once he'd passed the battle, he set himself up in front of one of the targets. Grabbing a launcher, he grabbed it by its leather grip. He took one of the spears and set it into the hook. Remembering what Ballaw taught him, Felldoh gave a mighty heave, sending the spear flying. It landed with a satisfying thunk, shirking the centre by two inches.

Felldoh smiled. He hadn't lost his touch.

With Julius's attack very close, Arthvader managed evaded the attack by going towards Julius's right side, only being grazed by the attack. After evading the attack, Arthvader took the time to take several steps back. He then prepared to do his next attack.

"Woah, getting a little personal there, huh?"

Arthvader dashed towards Julius again. As he got closer, he jumped up. As he's in the air, Arthvader took the time to deliver a series of slashes as he headed back to the ground.

Damian turned back to Zeria when she spoke. He could see the stress she felt in her eyes. He could not let her go like this. Not alone at least. She needed a companion more than anyone he had ever met.

"I could never allow you to travel alone. I will go with you to wherever your journey takes you."

He placed his hand on his chest and gave a gentle bow. He then turned to Vex who stood nearby.

"I'm sorry, but I just cannot allow her do do this on her own. I hope that we may still travel together."

Julius avoided and deflected the flurry of attacks that was unleashed as he stepped back away from Arthvader's landing spot. Julius tightened the grasp of the hilt, and as he drew back his blade to gain momentum, he rose his arm above his head and brought his blade down with a bone shattering force thus releasing a powerful shock wave to catch Arthvader while in mid air.

"Clever move...."

Zeria nodded with a very small smile to Damian. Even though he would not know it, she gratefully needed his help more than he knew.

"Then let's get going to Fort Helencia. Unless you have objections, I'd like to get started right away. The sooner we get to the academy before nightfall, the sooner I can sleep in my old bed and take a bath. All of this fighting and travelling has made me dirty and coated in blood"

Her gaze drifted to Vex.

"You're still welcome to come, unless you have other obligations to fill with the Knight here. And if you do go back in, tell him that I will be back after I've found Julius in Fort Helencia.......now, Damian. Shall we go?"

OOC: I'll skip some tedious walking part and get to the next town. Can't be dragging this down more than we have.

IC:

The city walls of Mygeeto stood tall and broad against the small approaching force of Taharka's company. The General stared at the main gates, which were sadly open. Sadly for the vicinity and those therein, that is.

Although a clear day, the sky was beginning to slowly fill with pale clouds swirling directly above the city leaving but a narrow beam of light shining down upon the very center of Mygeeto - the Seed Headquarters. Wind picking up meant one of few things, though this time it was evident to the local security within minutes; an 'executive' attack was pending.
Most were too busy preparing the sturdy external architecture of their houses to even notice a series of strangers stride casually into the city central, despite the worsening weather conditions. Hauling valuables and family into small underground bunkers underneath the foundations of their residential areas, the Assassins followed in pairs to ensure the city-goers' permanent stay underground. Taharka, however, had a different goal.

7ft pillars of concentrated air energy circulated his body in a clockwise direction, tearing narrow paths across stone and earth alike, flinging fist-sized chunks of material in random directions at incredible velocity, crushing those unfortunate enough to be in the vicinity, and even the entire faces of houses. Time spent in Mygeeto was brief, however considering the surprise nature of the attack, chaos ensued in immense quantities - blood shed would seep into the roads, houses would be either torn asunder or ripped in half, and defenses were at Taharka's mercy - which was fleeting at best. This almost seemed too easy...

OOC: I'll skip the battle Arthvader. I'll set on a quest to search for the Water Gem.

IOC:

Suddenly, a soldier came to deliver an urgent message to Julius. "Halt! We shall continue this battle later, for I have some important matters to attend." Julius sheathed his blade and turned to pick his helm from the ground. Julius then put on his helm and walked towards the messenger, who gave him a note with a wax seal that had the emblem of his majesty. Julius broke the seal and read the contents of the note, finding out that he was assigned to search for the gems. Knowing that the closest gem was the Water Gem, decided to leave at once, after of course, preparing his unit and resting.
"Sorry Arthvader, but I was assigned to a new mission. I'll be leaving tomorrow."

Julius left the courtyard and headed towards the main lobby after giving instructions to one of the soldiers. The Black Wind unit was
ordered to be assembled as soon as possible to be ready by tomorrow morning. Julius finally went to his room and took a bath, he remained there preparing for his next assignment.

OOC: Mygeeto...my god, Saix, you are such a nerd :wacky:

IC: Felldoh yanked his spears out of the target. Not a one except his first had missed the bullseye, and he had thrown them perhaps too hard. A few of them had even gone all the way through the 2-inch0thick wood. It was difficult, yanking them out (the spearheads were well-made, and wouldn't yield unless Felldoh gave it his all), but he managed it in the end. Sweat poured down his brow, and he wiped it off with his arm. They were really stuck in there.

This had taken long enough for Felldoh to notice that there was a page or messenger sent to Julius. The page caught his eye, and though his eyes could not see what Julius was reading, Felldoh was sure it was a missive from Taharka, or somebody high-up in the hierarchy.

Noting that Julius was going back into the mansion, Felldoh decided to get in some more practice. However, he decided to do melee this time.

Felldoh walked over to a nearby tree and placed his spears at his side. As he did when training to fight Badrang, he imagined the tree to be the loathsome tyrant. It was all he needed to get his blood boiling.

Gripping the lower leather-grip of the spear, Felldoh attacked the sycamore violently, switching to hold it like a staff at times, gripping the longer leather strip in the middle of the spear. If Felldoh had attacked it longer than the five minutes he did, the entire tree would have been barkless. As it stood, with Felldoh only having trained for the five, only the tree's midriff was stripped of both bark and branch.

Satisfied, Felldoh climbed up into the tree and looked across the courtyard. The gardens were beautiful, and the trees (excluding the one he'd just mutilated, of course) were wholesome and elegant. It was a little disconcerting to know that a tyrant ruled over all this.

Felldoh's blood began to boil again, and he forced himself to calm down. The time will come, he thought forcefully, but not now. Wait. It was all he could do to prevent himself from flinging a spear right through Arthvader, who had betrayed the cause. He'd have to be careful around the traitor, and not give any indication that he was still on the side of Vex. As with Julius, Felldoh would have to make sure that it sounded as though he were neutral in this fight, or at least pending judgement.

Felldoh jumped down from the tree and shouldered his spears. A good night's sleep would do him well after the time he'd spent roughing it with the Rambling Rosehip Players. Even the inn wouldn't be as comfortable as this.

IC:
SeeDs poured out of the HQ, tackling the small detachment of Assassins from the main group - driving their swords with powerful thrusts and slashes, cleaving impeding objects apart. Some even utilized guns which acted as an apparently efficient counter to the Assassins Haste-induced reaction speeds.

Regardless of the elite troops making way inward to the heart of the city, Taharka held his singular position firmly and adamantly. Being the primary branch of SeeD residence, despite the relatively mediocre size of the city, the candidates and qualified SeeD members were vast in number and strength - successfully repelling the minor forces of Taharka's Elite.

He took to handling one of his lances manually now for the aspect of challenge - he was overwhelmed by number, and loved it. Taharka revelled in the spraying blood of his adversaries as he meniacally swung his lances in every conceivable direction, cleaving chests open and dismembering ligaments. However his blood-lust was short-lived - the Garden Masters were now in sight.

The road seemed to have no end. Damian was following behind Zeria as they traveled to the Academy;her home. He didn't say much for the first couple of hours of travel. He had missed everything that she had just gone through; he had no idea what she was thinking.
The silence was making him uncomfortable, so he swung his guitar around and began playing. There was no actual tune that he played, just the melody of random notes.
Now that the silence was gone he had time to think about everything. This was the first time that he someone was leading him to a place that he was not familiar with.
"My lady," he called out to Zeria. "I know that we are traveling to your home, but I must ask you, what is it like? I must know so I do not step my bounds when I get there."

Zeria smiled and her eyes lit up.

"It's a beautiful and amazing place. So many people...and so much to do. I still own my formal uniform. It's in my bag actually. You'd like it"

How wrong she was when the academy began to come into view. It was under attack. Her heart dropped in her chest.

"Wha...what the hell's going on here?!"

She didn't take anymore thoughts into consideration and darted through, using her spell to move her through the shadows and into the main office of the building. Several academy units were inside and explained the situation.

"Damnit...! Reform the ranks, retreat into the building, and build up our defense! Treat the wounded as soon as possible and brace yourselves! This will be a difficult battle!"

"Yes, Ma'am!"

She cursed loudly and began to panic.

"Damnit, I didn't expect this! If I had known...if only I had known this would happen...I never would have left!"

He could hear it; the sounds of battle. Something was wrong. Zeria had just told him how nice the place was, but nothing that he saw the moment it came into viewed showed it. He swung his guitar onto his back and continued to move forward.
At that moment, Zeria took off running in the direction of the accademy.
As he followed, Damian yelled out to her, "Wait, my lady. It is not sa-."
He never got the chance to finish what he was saying because Zeria had already disapeared before him.
A moment later three men wearing what he guessed to be academy uniforms ran towards him. One held a spear, and the other two swords.
'maybe they could help me find Zeria.' he thought to himself. But he was completely wrong. Their intention was not to help him, but to harm him.
All at once they swung their weapons at him. He had little time to think. He imediately put up a barrier, and the attacks were stopped just inches from his head. Though they blades did not touch his skin he felt the strength of the hit the same as if he had blocked them with his sword.
"Cease your attack. I am no enemy of yours. I am a companion to your lady, Zeria. I request that you take me to where she is."
"So that you can kill her!?"
"We saw you chasing after her."
"We will not trust you assasin."
These three were loyal, but they were also foolish.
"I assure you that I am no assasin. I am a fr-."
And once again the trio came at him once more with their attacks. Damian was ready for them this time. In a single motion he pulled his saber from its sheath and swung it in the directing. The moment the blade left the sheath it urst into flames that shot in the direction of Damian's attackers.
They all jumped back; surprised at an attack like this one.
"I do not wish to fight you!" Damian yelled. "But if I must to protect myself, I will."

The strong gusts emanating from Taharka's very being were still holding strong, twirling all clouds in the sky into something almost artistic - 3 swirls dancing around high above Mygeeto, ever circling at the behest of their summoner. This proved as a huge asset to Taharka's forces, and despite their small number, were able to competently thwart multiple adversaries through the fear struck by the overpowering winds.

However... the newly arriving Garden Masters were well armed, versed, and experienced in the art of battle, proving a significant match for Imperial Assassins - too much even. Nevertheless, Taharka fought on in an attempt to reach the leaders to neutralise any further tactical formations. Taharka shouted over the conflicting noise of weapons clashing and powerful winds to the Masters: "this city will fall to me; and you will submit to Imperial rule."

These words struck little fear in his now face-to-face opponents, though they seemed slightly hesitant in raising their weapons to this giant tyrant.

The powerful circulatory air around Taharka's body dispersed; he was never fond of utilising overly-powerful magic in an ensuing battle within which he deemed his opponent remotely worthy. All but two lances dissipated and he grasped the remaining two in both his hands firmly, blade tips facing the floor.

"Come, SeeDs - I, Taharka - General of the Imperial Army, challenge all three of you!"

With the lack of their immediate advance, he took it upon himself to make the first move. After gaining slight momentum by running head-long towards them, he leapt high with the aid of his imbued natural strengths and began rotating in the fashion of a whirlwind; baring down heavily upon all three of the Masters and releasing a small shockwave of air which travelled a short distance along the ground, knocking them into the air. Taharka leapt again, engaging one Master mid-flight and clashing blades with him ferociously as if possessed. His eyes would darken as his vicious assault continued, entering a state of mental berserk where all sense and rationality left him.

Regaining their balance, the two Masters stood almost paralysed in awe of the aerial duel. Fear soon left them as they both jumped towards Taharka, one clashing blades and the second kicking him hard in the stomach - sending Taharka back to the ground. With that, the Garden Masters fled to the Headquarters where other SeeDs seemed to be gathering.

He dismissed his weapons, and collected his mind and regaining his posture, staring with discontent at the fleeing soldiers.

"Interesting. Perha----"
. Taharka was cut short as the Emperor sent a wave of shadow-like pulses through his body, as he telepathically communicated with Taharka.

"Consider it done". With that the darkness vanished, and he raised his right arm out in-front of himself. A small pool of dusty-looking blackness emerged from the ground, to which he spoke:

"Your assistance is now required, Captain. Come, fight with us."

Felldoh was baffled.

The squirrel had been walking down hallways, and found himself drawn once more to the hall with the armour and symbols. Now, with the knowledge of what the symbols were, and what each symbolized, Felldoh found himself with even more questions. What was the significance of each, and why was his sword that of the Emblem of Light?

As he stared intently at the Emblem of Light, a sentry sprinted towards him. Skidding to a halt, the sentry addressed Felldoh, spitting each sentence out before taking a breath. He was remarkably concise.

"Taharka. His army is at the SeeD headquarters. Send reinforcements." The man began to lose his balance, and Felldoh caught him as he collapsed, still conscious, but rasping out his breaths.

"Right," Felldoh said, supporting the soldier with his shoulder. "But first, you need to have a lie-down, matey." He set the soldier against the wall, leaning the pitiful figure comfortably against the stone.

Without another word, Felldoh dashed out. He wasn't going to bother Julius with this, Taharka was his concern.

Before departing, Felldoh ran to the library. As a squirrel, he had stamina far above that of humans, so he wasn't even short of breath when he bolted into the map section of the library. It didn't take him ten minutes before he'd found the right map. Packing it his shirt, Felldoh shouldered his new spears and took off, whatever sleepiness that may have been there erased by his growing anticipation: meeting Taharka.

Zeria gave orders to everyone she could and organized battle strategies, when she recieved a report about Taharka and what was going on. The SeeD's had begun to retreat back into the massive building and barracade the doors. Zeria had put on her formal uniform, armor, and was wearing a cape, striding through and shouting orders.

"DON'T LET THEM GET IN HERE! IF THEY GET IN, WE'RE GOING TO HAVE PROBLEMS! BARRICADE THOSE DOORS TIGHTLY AND SEAL THEM WITH THE STRONGEST MAGIC YOU HAVE!"

She was really stressing out now. If Taharka was here, things were apt to get back...and she was still weak too. If she was forced to fight him, she might not win. Almost immediately, she dispatched some members through secret entrances to go send urgent requests for backup to their allies.

"DON'T LET THEM IN, IF IT COSTS EVERY BIT OF YOUR STRENGTH!"

The dark knight rose earlier in the morning, clad in its usual attire and dark steel armor. As commanded, the Black Wind unit was completely assembled and was order to await for their captain, Julius, near at the manor's entrance. Julius went down stairs after having breakfast and packing his gear. As he slowly walked towards the grand hall, his foot steps could be heard echoing through the chambers, like a chorus of the morning's early melody. The sound of the wind gave out a peaceful yet slightly saddened atmosphere.

Quickly, Julius finally arrived and met with his unit, issuing the order of meeting with Lord Taharka's unit. Although Julius would be leading this unit, he wouldn't be going with them, instead he would be taking another passage towards the Water Gem Temple. In his place, he assigned one of his lieutenant to lead them successfully to the ruins in where Taharka was presumed to be investigating. The unit would most likely arrive in several hours if they follow the shortcut Julius had ordered them to take. Once the orders were given, Julius bid farewell to his unit, turning around and heading towards the cemetery.

Before the cold, dilapidated, tombstones, Julius payed his respects to the long dead, his fallen comrades. He sunk down to his knees, staying on a praying position, and remained there for a few minutes. Suddenly and inexplicably, a pool of darkness appeared right before his eyes and a mysterious shadowy portal emerged from it like a door. Intrigued, Julius rose from the ground and stared at the portal in an attempt to see beyond the gate. Nevertheless, no matter how much he tried he couldn't determine what lied beyond the portal.

Decided to investigate the origins of the portal, Julius opted for entering it. As soon as he prepared himself both physically and mentally, Julius plunged himself into the darkness. Mountains, clouds, all covered in darkness, shifted before his eyes as he was sent miles away from the manor. Finally, the portal reopened itself and Julius was tossed from it, falling on his knees and hands. The dark portal vanished behind him as he stood from the ground and searched his surroundings. Soon he found himself standing tall on the hill just before the city of Mygeeto, and he witnessed the arousing battle before him.

As his first priority, Julius searched for Taharka and saw seeing him leading the Imperial Armies against an unidentified rebel group. With haste, Julius sprinted towards Taharka, and upon arrival, he formally saluted his commanding officer

"Captain Argexis reporting for duty. I've come to deliver a message. Lord Taharka, the state has issued orders to dispatch the Black Wind unit towards this area to serve as reinforcements and assist you in your quest in retrieving the gems. Strangely, I managed to arrive faster by some, unknown means. Now, what are your orders sir?"
