The Tale of the Forgotten - RP

Felldoh rolled to the right, dodging the slashes entirely. His ears pricked up at a whinnying sound and he looked over his shoulder. His horse was getting up and stretching, shaking it's head to fully wake itself.

"Sorry, Arth," Felldoh called. He sheathed his blades and took up the spears the blacksmith had given him, which lay against a tree not ten feet from where he now stood. "We'll have to do this later. You go on to Mygeeto while I head the foe off at the Water Shrine. I'd have you travel with me, but we need somebody to go with Julius; he may need the back up."

With that, Felldoh strapped his javelins to the horse and jumped up on its back. "We'll meet up at the Shrine, and be careful." That way, I can be the one to tear off your head, you filthy traitor, the squirrel thought fiercely. Without any further warning, Felldoh thrust the reigns and dug the heels of his paws into the horse's ribs, urging it onward. He may not be able to make it to Mygeeto in time, but with Taharka being as detained as he was with the invasion of the city, it gave Felldoh plenty of time to reach the Water Shrine and rendezvous with Vex.

Just as Felldoh left his sights, Arthvader quickly got on his horse and began his ride over to Mygeeto. 'Felldoh, I hope you reach there safely. As for me, I need to get to Mygeeto as soon as possible. Julius may need my help.' He thought as he rides on to Mygeeto.

Several Hours later...

As Arthvader emerged from the forest, he stumble across a shocking scenario; a fearsome tornado now surrounded the once tranquil city of Mygeeto. Not feeling threatened, Arthvader firmly stood his ground summoning his strength to call forth his magical beast; The Pheonix. Flames and sulfur emerged from the ground as molten rocks and fierce fires merged to form the winged beast known as the Pheonix.

Knowing that the Pheonix would be the only way to have the slightest chance to enter Mygeeto, Arthvader got on the Pheonix's back and rode high to the sky. The Pheonix, although powerful, flew struggling through perilous gust of threatening winds, soaring bolts of thunder and flying debris all caught by the apocalyptic tornado.

Suddenly, a bolt of lightning came straight to the Pheonix. Arthvader quickly grasped the reins and pulled them in order to make the Pheonix change its direction. As he pulled out an amazing evasive movement, the Pheonix evaded the lightning by mere inches.

Finally, Arthvader managed to go beyond the clouds; the atmosphere felt colder here as the air was more limited. Arthvader gasped for air, yet he valiantly resisted such a harsh environment. As soon as he found himself above the center of the tornado, Arthvader went down into the mad maelstrom.

'This is it, there's no turning back. I'll be there, everyone.'

A kamikaze maneuver, Arthvader found himself really close to crashing violently against one of the rooftop, instead he made an emergency landing on one of the chaotic streets. The Phoenix crashed, yet both the summoner and the summon were alive.

Arthvader, seeing that his Pheonix required some rest, dismissed his summon. Now that he was in Mygeeto, Arthvader drew his swords and walked towards the central plaza in hopes of finding the source of all this madness...

Vex took a firm stance and held his sword across out in front of him. Concentrating on it again like in thier last blade, his sword turned into mist and began to travel down to the hilt of his sword. "Predominant my ass. It just seems to me the only chance you had of fighting me with any upper hand was to cause this tornado here! Do you lack so much confidence in your fighting abilities, or are you just that cowardly? Please any more amount of power you obtained, was only obtained through the increased power of the gem that was unlocked. As for impending death, well let's let this fight determine that."

By now, the mist from the hilt of his sword was traveling upwards once more. Though this time instead of a regular sword shape it began to take the form of a spear. He looked onto Taharka with hatred seeping through his eyes. Now reading his spear in a fighting stance as he drew it to his side and pointed outwards he added one last coly remark. "Of course this is now the time for you to flee and leave the gem you have behind here with me."

"Flee? Oh, you petty child. The Gem I possess gives me power because it has to; there was no artificial means to gaining the ability to what I did here today. Your not-so prudent approach to this entire situation is rather laughable, one must admit. Confident as you are, there is little gain to be found in stupidity..."

Waves upon waves of pooling air energy spewed from his now-raised arms, filling the surroundings and eventually expanding to the walls of the giant tornado. "Now... now you will know fear. Behold the might of my power." The walls began closing in far faster than before, tearing houses asunder, razing walls, extracting the very rock that made the walkways of the entire city.

"For you see, I too am a Guardian, like the others. Only, on this occasion... you find me at my full potential!" His voiced seemed to roar as he engaged his opponent, echoing as if another were speaking shortly after him. His arms, now lowered, began to change to a mirky grey hue, which expanded to the rest of his... contorting body. The magic summoned was tearing at his flesh... his casing. "Ahaaa... I did not... intend this... maggot. I needn't embrace it all... but my magic... forces me. The true form... of a Guardian... of a Gem!"

Taharka warped monstrously, contorting even his clothing and armour. Arms became winged, feet became taloned, hair to... whisping feathers of air, ever dispersing into the atmosphere.

Taharka had become the true essence of the Gem's might... its anger... its rage.

Bellowing a piercing shriek, Taharka took to flight, ascending in elegant circular motions, before ceasing, and diving with the full power of wind behind his might, bearing down heavily upon Vex.

Julius was greatly amused as he witnessed how futile the rebel's attempts to escape were. Lord Taharka has single handedly cornered their enemies by harnessing and using the power of the Wind Gem at whim, bringing upon the people of Mygeeto a barrage of catastrophic natural disasters. Threes, houses, and all sorts of structures and vegetation were torn out from the soil and left spinning all around Mygeeto. Thunders could be heard soaring the skies, and bolts of lightning stroke random areas all around Mygeeto. Indeed, the power of the Wind Gem was a force to reckon. One would believe that such power would come to a large price, leaving Julius to wonder if Taharka's thirst for power would be easily satisfied by the Wind Gem alone.

Then he realized what would sure happen; Taharka would hunt down the gems one by one until he had acquired every single one and, fusing their massive powers together, he would become like some kind of "god" in this realm. This would surely go against Julius' personal agenda since he too had in mind harnessing the power of the Fire Gem for himself.

Eager to see his master's whereabouts, Julius felt himself drawn towards the center of the city which was, evidently, the source of the fearsome magic that was in motion here. As he scouted his surroundings, Julius noticed that even his own unit felt threatened by Taharka's power.

"Cowards! And you call yourselves the force of the empire? hahahahaha!"

Julius growled as he got on horseback and rode defiantly towards the center of the city. As he rode through the chaotic streets, Julius witnessed before his eyes as the people hopelessly tried to seek for shelter. The horseman stormed through the streets of Mygeeto and finally came to arrive to the central plaza.

"Halt!" Julius pulled the reins and the horse made a sudden stop. Before his eyes lied a near apocalyptic scenario; Taharka, the iron fist of the empire, was radiating a powerful aura and was seemingly intoxicated by the lust for power. Julius felt envy, for he too wanted to obtain such power for himself. As he kept staring at the battlefield, Julius noticed the presence of another man; Vex.

Intrigued by the presence of another possessor of the gems, Julius felt compelled to challenge Vex himself. As he stepped down from the horse, Julius firmly walked towards the battle, drawing his sword as he shortened the distance between his target and himself. The false dark gem embedded to his sword began to resonate to the true gems' powers almost as if it were suffering a strange metamorphosis. Julius had not noticed, but the power of his false gem was inexplicably leeched to feed Taharka's Wind Gem. Although the false gem was once attached to his breastplate, Julius thought it would be easier to summon forth the false gem's power if he embedded it to the blade of his weapon. As he fixed his cold stare on Vex, Julius prepared to make his presence known to the two mighty warriors.

"VEX!!!"

Julius yelled out the name of his opponent as he lifted his blade and aimed it towards him.

Zeria finally figured out what was all going on and made her plan, leaping and climbing and racing to get to them all. There was no more she could do. She'd ordered the remaining survivors to seek shelter underground. And thus she spotted them. Finally, she'd found her targets. She growled. ~I'll make them pay for all of the harm they've been causing. I swear it!~ Despite her tremendous effort, the winds were rather disturbing and she had to maintain great focus and form so she was not swept off her feet. She drew her two blades, Hellfire Blade and Punisher, and raced towards them, the one racing for Vex in particular.

"I'LL END YOU FOR GOOD!"

As Julius sprinted towards Vex, he couldn't avoid hearing the sounds a raging battle cry coming from the rear; it was Zeria. Sighing with much annoyance, the knight suddenly halted his advancement, and instead he turned to meet Zeria face to face. Taharka will be more than enough for Vex...Julius thought as he gave a cold stare to the unexpected fighter.

-"You seem to never quit being a nuisance..."-

Julius commented as he remained standing before an approaching Zeria. He nodded his head in disapproval, seeing how Zeria persisted on being such an obstacle for the empire's goals. "Permit me to ask; what are you? An angel of vengeance or perchance a saint of salvation?" Julius said coldly as he mocked Zeria with his clever talk. -"Let me answer for you; you actually don't know when to give up. The victory is nigh, Taharka will end this place for good and I will be there to follow his every command. And someday..."- Julius rose his left hand and turned his sight to his hand as he tightly closed his fist.-"I will control my own true gem..."- The man then swung his left fist to the left defiantly, and then he stood firmly as a soldier before Zeria.

-"Now get the hell out of MY WAY!"- Julius then grasped the hilt of his sword with both hands, brought it to his left and then swung it fiercely from left to right, sending a burst of soaring winds and energy waves towards Zeria.

A loud curse passed her lips and she made the attempt to block, but failed and was sent soaring, hitting the ground with a thud. But she rose quickly and lunged for him again.

"I won't lose anymore! Taharka is a cruel being with only power in mind! Now you're standing in my way! You're attacking my home and the place I cherish deep within my heart! For no reason other than hunger for power! I can't even say I believe what you told me about Julius being in Fort Helencia!"

She aimed both blades for him and charged faster, defying anything that pulled at her, moving to strike his shoulders in two separate diagonal slashes.

"I won't lose anymore!"

Julius Seymour sighed as he swung his blade twice in a row to block both incoming attacks; first he parried Zeria's right sword and then he deflected her left sword. As both attacks changed the direction of her attacks, Julius was no free to move away from her sword range. As he leaped backwards and landed only a few feet away from Zeria, Julius rose his left hand and placed it on his helm, nodding his head with much deception. -"Such foolishness, how do you believe you can take me on single handedly? I have harnessed a fraction of the Dark Gem's power, and I will not hesitate to use it against you"-

Julius then fixed his eyes on Zeria as he rose his blade high and aimed it to her. Suddenly, the false gem embedded on his sword began to glint, and he noticed how its energy kept fading, leeched by the Wind Gem. -"What in hell..."- Julius's eyes widened as he felt shocked and confused; he never thought that Taharka's gem would have such effect on the false gemstone. Suddenly, the energy burst from the gem as it suddenly cracked; the power released from the false gem went rapidly towards Taharka's Wind Gem. The poisonous effects of the false gem though, were not absorbed by Taharka's gem, but were instead sent towards Julius.

The knight was then stroke down; the power to great to resist as he felt himself weakened and forced down to his knees. A drastic metamorphosis took over his body as he became surrounded by a monstrous dark manifestation of what was a fraction of the dark gem's power. A shadow that resemblances the knight was standing behind Julius, almost as if it were a puppeteer pulling the strings of a new puppet. Julius slowly rose from the ground, gasping for air. Suddenly, he slowly lifted his sight, his eyes shinned with a furious reddish glow as he growled like a uncontrollable beast. It was evident, Julius was not only poisoned by the false gem, but he was also intoxicated by Taharka's malicious intentions.

-"Zeria Iiyasei..."-

Julius slowly approached Zeria, dragging his sword; the energy he radiated began to scorch the soil below his feet. -"You will pay...for what you've done...you will never get away from your sins..you have no right to live...."- Julius grasped the hilt of his weapon with both hands and lifted his sword above his head.-"It is a sin for you to be alive!!!!"- The cursed fiend brought his sword down towards Zeria's head in an attempt to crush her under the weight of his long sword.

OOC: I know, Soul Calibur...yet I love that quote. Nightmare ftw.

Vex let lose a small grin as Zeria drew Julius's attention. Then focusing back on Taharka who now, more or less resembled an eagle. "Well then it does look like you are geting serious. Looks like I might have to pull out a new stop of my own then." Holding his spear up to the sky, Vex let out a roar of his own as he shouted "Lightnings Ark". It appeared as a small amount of storm clouds began to form over the spear and send electricty right through it. Soon the clouds dissapered and as Vex brought his spear back to a ready stance he could counter the oncoming creature version of Taharka.

Trying to get in a good postion to begin his own offensive, Vex attempted to dodge Taharka by spining to his right. Though to no avail, he was caught by the wing and sent spiraling back. Using what little control he had of himself, he sent forth a swing of his spear to send an arch of lightning at Taharka. Then to help his crash in the ground he aimed his spear at the ground. As vex came closer to the ground his spear counted and began to scratch the surface slowing him down. Though still unable to stop the spining motion, as he landed he did sevral spins as he connected with the ground. Now in a daze and not being able to see clearly he once again tries to find Tahraka.

Zeria's eyes widened and she froze at the horror of the knight changing. It was like seeing a nightmare come true (OOC: ha ha! Nightmare! XD). For a minute, his sheer radiating power sent a wave of terror through her body and she couldn't move, but as he rushed her and aimed that longsword for her head, she brought up both blades and parried, blades crossed.

"Ggh! He's strong!"

She winced and felt the force of the blade pushing her...until she was knocked to the ground again when her knees buckled. But still, she kept her blades up to parry the longsword aimed to harm her. Though, she was feeling the other blade tucked away pushing against her back. ~Maybe...I should use that gunblade...the one Julius left behind for me...No! You have to give it back to him in perfect condition! But...I might not win if I don't...~

She swore again and began to push back at him, using her weight to get back to her feet and move to swing for his legs...

Some strange incantation partially dazzled Taharka's brilliant new form, forcing him to look aside, though it mattered little. Although he missed, the sheer size of his new wings collided with Vex, hurtling him quite some distance. Unable to shake the glare that shocked him, he momentarily stayed aloft in that spot, trying desperately to regain his vision. 'twas via unusual means that his sight was restored - this Gem Julius possessed... not an ordinary Gem by any count... but special in its own way. Apparently his own Gem was attempting to eliminate this artificial mockery, by absorbing its essence; which to an effect worked. Taharka regained his vision, though the absorbed energy was pushed aback, forcing it towards its owner, although not the artificial Gem itself. Julius contorted, much in a similar fashion that Taharka had, though to less extremities... this darkened Gem had some of the properties that every Gem possessed - in that it could warp the master of it into the shape its essence desires; hence Taharka's own new body.

Taharka's interest soon reverted back to Vex, as he regained his balance and arose to his feet, apparently confused. Taharka saw this opportunity, and exerted more of his newly accessed powers. Powerful shrieks pierced the air once again as he forced his magic outwards into a forceful blast of raw energy. Was it even Air any more? Was it just energy? This concerned Taharka little as he sent lacerating blasts at Vex, perfectly accurate in direction.

The tornado was closing in further, taking the rubble and torn wood into the very walls itself, bashing what was left of Mygeeto and its people. It wouldn't be long now until it crushed everything.

Felldoh kept his eyes averted from the horrendous site in the distance. Eastwards, there was a great tempest, large enough to toss aside the extremities of a mountain with absurd ease. Felldoh's thoughts on this were grim, for he had seen the remains of buildings thrown from the powerful tempest. It was a good thing he'd seen it and steered clear of its radius; had he attempted to approach the city in which it engulfed, he would have surely met his end.

From his map, Felldoh estimated that he was nearing the Water Shrine, in turn predicting that the city being decimated was Mygeeto. Felldoh felt a pang of guilt for not being there to help his friends, but he needed to get to the Water Shrine. It was what he would have told Brome to do, so he knew it was the best choice, in this case.

Felldoh shut his eyes and tried to block out the few screams that reached him from the city, hoping to the great seasons that none of those screams were either Vex or Julius.

Power, supreme madness, amazing and unyielding poisonous rage radiated from Julius's body. His eyes showed no pain, no sorrow, only a blinding anger that shinned deep red, as if it were trying to extinguish all life. It was not Taharka's, nor Julius's rage, but the hatred emanated from the true gems. Julius was only a mere victim of these gems' power, and seeing his mind was in such a delicate way, his soul and heart were easy prey for the gems to control. A strange connection was developed by the gems and Julius, for somehow the knight could feel their energy and track them down. He hungered, not to use their power, but to consume it, to devour it, to quench his thirst with their divine energy. It was not Julius, for it was something different; it was the essence of rage and madness, greed and horror, sorrow and deception.

His opponent tried hopelessly to bring Julius down, and she even managed to swing her blade against Julius's armoured leg. The hit landed, Julius was brought down to one knee, but then he rose from the ground defiantly, his face really close to Zeria's. And so deep within those red darkened eyes shinned another light, the light of Julius' imprisoned soul.

The dark knight stepped down, dragging his body and blade, and then he turned and took his stance, preparing to face Zeria and end her pain for good. -"Mi fili veni...Veni mi fili..hic veni da mihi morten iterum..."- The knight chanted madly as he lost his mind to the gem's power. Surprisingly, a mysterious chorus began to chant this very same phrase in a seemingly melodious tone, almost nightmarish.

What this monster, nor Julius didn't know, was that they served as nourishment for Taharka's unquenchable thirst. They sustained him, fed him with more power, it was, as if Julius were unwillingly empowering his master's gem with his own developing rage. The knight then gave out a fearsome battle cry, howling like a mad beast, and so he sprinted towards Zeria.

Shockingly, he made a hastened forward leap, his body thrust through the soaring winds. Julius drew his blade back, his eyes fixed on Zeria, and then he lunged his poisonous sword towards Zeria's Gunblade, aiming to destroy her sword and at the same time, shatter her iron will. Such an irony of fate that the man that once gave her that sword was now the very same man aiming to obliterate it.

Finally shaking out of his daze Vex found Taharka, and all to soon to see the blast of air... or was it energy, coming at him. He couldn't tell all his body could do was rely on it's reflex's and dodge out of the way. Just barely doing a barrel roll to the right did Vex manage to dodge the blast, as the debrie from the explosion hit him. Now with a little more clear focus at his enemy Vex sent out another two slashs of electricty, one right after another. The first one was a diagonal one left to right, while the other one was a horizontal one. The two slash's ended up colliding with one another sending a spiral X at Taharka with even more ferocity then the two individual slash's.

Vex began to then to run to his right to try and get a better look of what now seemed a barren feild. He was looking for anything that could or might help him gain an upper hand with his match on Taharka. Soon he noticed that Zeria was strugling with Julius, and no sooner then he saw the two, that the Holy gem imbuned within his hilt of his weapon let out a ferious glow. It glowed brighter then before as if something upset it. The fragile balnce that it helped once keep seeming broken, by the force of the dark gem being broken. It seemed to want to purge the dark energies now surronding Julius. All Vex could do was swing one of his eletric arc's at Julius in hopes that it would give Zeria someway to counter attack.

Now getting winded and the affect's of his Lightning Ark soon to wear off, Vex spoted what he was looking for. A small portion of land that was coming up from the earth, in a ramp like way. "Hmm maybe if I can use that, and draw Taharka in some more, I might be able to take out one of those wings. If so at least this won't be an aerial battle any more, and it will be back on the ground. Though with this tornado, I don't think it will be a very effective attack. It doesn't matter this fight needs to come to an end shortly." Now dashing dead ahead of him with Taharka still to his right, Vex dashed towards the ramp like structure to make a futile attack attempt.

With a gasp, Zeria turned her body and brought up the Hellfire Blade...watching in horror as it shattered before her eyes. She cursed and dropped the hilt of it, scrambling to avoid the remains. Too late though. A few shards nicked at her arms, creating little streams of blood. She winced and made her decision. This was her last opportunity to win...because she was so used to dual-wielding. A fierce glare was sent at the knight.

"You! You who dared to harm that which my Julius gave me as a gift! Now you will face my full fury. Both of these blades have touched his hand, and now...you are the only one who will be destined to see their use..."

Her arm reached back, and she drew the shining glory of the LionHeart Gunblade that had once been Julius'.

"BEHOLD! NOW I FIGHT WITH THE LIONHEART GUNBLADE OF SIR JULIUS SILVERWING! DIE!"

And she rushed him, a newfound rage and power gleaming in her viper yellow eyes...

As he shattered her blade, the man burst in sadistic laughter feeling his unquenchable thirst for destruction partially satiated. He witnessed, how that very same action aroused that woman's anger and for an instant, he felt being hated. Not having payed attention to Vex, the knight was caught off guard and was stroke down by an inexplicable, unbelievable and seemingly uncontrollable, ray of powerful purifying light. The light surrounded the knight, entangling him in a serpent like aura which restrained him.

The knight, feeling the burning sanctifying effects of Vex's magic, was brought down to his knees writhing in pain and agony. His eyes widened, he gasped for air, he felt the choked, shortness of breath made him difficult for him to retake his offense.

Suddenly, the helm Julius was wearing began to crack, slowly falling apart. As the pain drove him into insanity, Julius placed his hands on his helm, he then hastily removed it, and finally he slammed it violently against the ground shattering what was left of it. He then remained on his knees, his eyes facing the ground, his hair falling over his forehead covering his identity. Miraculously, Vex's magic managed to cleanse part of Julius' soul yet he was unable to bring back his memories.

The dark aura around him started to disperse, and as he placed his hands on his face, a stumbling Julius slowly began to raise back to his feet. As he opened his eyes, the reddish glow on Julius' irises slowly vanished, and finally, he took his hands off his face and fixed his eyes on Zeria.

Defiantly as always, a weakened Julius grasped the hilt of his sword and aimed it to Zeria, not knowing he was facing one of his former friends. Without much hesitation, he stood firmly waiting for her. -"I will defend Lord Taharka..."-

Damian forced himself forward, still stuck in the harsh winds of the storm. Everywhere around him the ground was being torn apart, but something kept his feet planted to the ground. He should have made it to the center already, but the pushing force was slowing him down. The closer he got, the stronger the force became.
Finally he broke free from the chaos, his hat gone, and his hair flowing free. His breathing was heavy, and his body sore from the flying debri. He looked forward to see that the battle had restarted during his absence. This time Zeria had joined the fight.
Damian unsheathed his blade. He was left so weak from his struggle in the storm, that he could barely even lift the saber to eye level. He trudged over to Zeria and stood at her side.
"I cannot allow you to fight this battle alone my lady," he said as he raised his blade to a ready position. His arm shook as he held it there.

As he reached the center of town, Arthvader noticed several battles that are going on at the same time. He could see Vex and Taharka fighting in the air, while he saw Zeria struggling with a seemingly changed Julius. Damian has also just recently arrived at the battlefield as well, assisting Zeria. 'Julius, what has happened to you? Wha.. What's this dark aura I'm feeling? This isn't good. This must end soon, before it happens again.' Arthvader thought as he charged towards the field. As he got to Julius's side, He prepared his stance. "I have arrived, Lord Julius. Are you in need of assistance?" He said, ready to take action.

"Ah, so you must be the reinforcements we requested from the imperial units..." Julius said as soon as he spotted a mysterious swordsman who happened to arrive just before Julius could renew his fight with that woman. With a smirk clearly shown on his face, the knight was pleased to see that everything was going according to how it was planned. Little he knew that this man was not part of the empire, but another person who was linked to his past. Suddenly, Julius recognized the man and could grasp the name from the fragmented thoughts inside his memory. "Arthvader...I now remember. You joined the empire a few months ago....well come and fulfill your duty. SEIZE HER!!!" Julius demanded vehemently as he lowered his sword and remained there waiting for Arthvader to follow his instructions.
