The Tale of the Forgotten - RP

Pleased By Zeria's reaction, Arthvader walks with Zeria around town.

Arthvader "Sure, Zeria. By the way, How was your journey? Has anything happened while I was gone? Also, I think I saw Shen earlier when I entered town. I was going to see what she was up to when I heard you. Obviously, something was going on there. How about We check it out? I'll show you where they are currently at."

Damian was disturbed by the coming of another.
'A third stranger,' he thought to himself. 'Now I know something big is happening. People don't just randomly come together hoping to be a hero to a small village like this.'
Damian hid his arms under his cape. His hands by his weapons incase someone tried to take him off guard. He took a couple steps back from the group.
"What is going on here? And don't give me the answers you already gave me. You all know what's really happening. Now tell me."

Zeria sighed.

"Damian. I'm sure you'd really like the answers, but I can't give you mine. I just can't. My trust isn't easily won. Arthvader is one of my familiar comrades. You needn't worry about him. I can keep him in line"

She grinned jokingly at Arth.

"Right?"

Her smile almost instantly went to a frown.

"Come on. Damian, Vex, Arth...we must hurry. If Shen is here, it's for good reason. We'd best seek her out and find out what's going on"

As they searched for Shen, Arthvader told everyone what happened earlier.

Arthvader "Listen everyone. Let me fill you guys in on what I saw earlier. As I was heading towards this town's Inn, I noticed across from the Inn two people Interrogating a merchant. I couldn't recognize one of the two people, but I noticed the other one as Shen, holding her shotgun in public. I was about to go see what they were up to until i heard you guys. I suggest that we head there now."

Zeria sighed and stretched her arms as she walked. She was tired and unsure of how much longer she'd be able to keep walking. Several days without sleep was unwise for her. Last time she'd kept going, she'd collapsed on an airship and worried everyone. But she couldn't stop now. Not for anything.

"This is more troublesome than I'd hoped...."

Then Zeria froze...a frighteningly familiar scent that only she usually recognized hitting her....the scent of death....

Damian Follow the others at a distance. His eye watching each one.

'What are they looking for in a place where the earth is dead.'

He kept his hands by his weapons in case someone decided to try something.

'Can I trust them, or are they here for some dark purpose. I'll stay with them for now. I made a promise to help this town, and I think they may know something important for me to do so.'

Zeria growled.

"Guys...stop. I don't like this. This place just reeks with the stench of death. We'd best be on our top guard"

Zeria drew her Punisher and held it in front of her, glancing in every direction.

"It's getting closer by the second. I don't like this...Arth, we may end up having to go SeeD style, and use our most powerful attacks. Be ready for anything!"

If you looked at her eyes, you could see a mix of both fear and anger. This was a bad sign...something was wrong...

Shenorai had kept a careful watch, pacing about as she did so. Her hood was pulled over her head and her eyes were cast in shadow. As a further precaution, her right hand never left the handle of her shotgun. She thought she saw a few people walking about, but couldn't really see what was going on. Even the futile gasps of the merchant didn't distract her.

Although, the movement of her partner had her attention. After scanning the scenery a little more, she turned and followed Leon with long strides. She was wise enough to stay out of arm's-reach, though stayed close enough for him to hear her.

"...seems like we've got company," she muttered. "We should probably let them make the first move, though. We don't need to attract more attention than we already have." After a pause, her violet eyes darted to the figure of her ghost before she looked to her partner again. "...you found it?"

As Arthvader And Co. Headed towards the merchant's place, He spotted Shenorai and Leon. Aware of the scent of blood around them, He took out his swords of fire, preparing to battle the duo.

Arthvader "It's been a while, Shen. I would stop doing this if I were you. If you attempt to leave this area, I'll surly finish you off right here and now. How about it, leave that emerald or suffer my wrath."

Zeria ran forward and pulled Arth backwards.

"NO! We mustn't harm anyone! It would be beyond foolish to act without knowledge and reason!"

Zeria wrapped one arm around his neck and the other around his waist.

"Think before you act!"

It was almost a near immediate reaction, Vex's hand flew to his sword as he took it out and brought it in front of him. His eyes suddenly grew slanted and cold.

"So your still working for that evil bastard Leon. I guess he has you as much under his controll as he did me. Leon, I warn you now leave the Earth gem here and back away. You have no idea of the power that the gem there holds."

Vex was just getting ready to charge at Leon, when the Earth gem glowed a bright green, Suddenly the earth around them began to shake as it rose at the same time. Slowly it took on the form of a golem and the dark energy emitted from it.

"Damn I should have figured, some entity must of reached the Earth gem and corrupted it's powers to decay the land." Vex eyes the commrades around him and sighs, "It looks like we will have to take down that golem before we can get to that gem."

With that being said Vex begins to rush recklessly at the golem charging forward it dead center.

Shenorai remained for a few moments longer, silently pitying her former friends beneath her hood. She wasn't sure how long they would last against such a creature; made of stone, resistant to slicing attacks, and no obvious physical weak points. For their sake, they'd better have some energy for magic.

However, a smirk formed upon her lips. Arthvader is as arrogant as ever and Zeria was so desperately trying to spare her life. It was rather amusing, now that she was watching them from another perspective. Arth had never fought with Shen, at least not to her memory. He really thinks he could take down this bounty hunter?

To not be left behind, Shen turned and followed Leon. The sooner they return to the Lord, the sooner the bounty hunter will get her pay. And she would not want to be cheated of such a price for these gems.

Damian stood there for a moment as he watched Vex charge ahead at the golem.
'Earth Gem?! These people are after the elements.'
He remembered thee stories his mentor told him of the elements, and how certain objects or beings held power over them.
'It seems Vex is here to protect the gem. I can trust him for now.'
Damian flipped his cape aback over his shoulders and drew his saber from its sheath. With a single thought the blade burst into flames. He walked past Zeria and Arthvader.
"I am a keeper of balance. I will not let that balance be destroyed."
He whispered those words to himself over and over; each time his heart grew stronger until he was ready to face the golem.

Zeria gasped and launched Arth back as she lunged forward and taking Damian from behind.

"I can't let you hurt Shen! She's one of my closest friends and we don't know what's going on yet! Don't jump to a fight!"

She didn't know how strong Damian was, but she'd have to hope she could hold him long enough for Shen to get to safety.

"Hurry, big sister Shen, I don't know how long I can hold him!"

OoC:The characters are not in each others heads. it's ok.
IC:
Damian fell to the ground. He'd been caught off guard by Zeria. His anger grew towards her until he saw the concern on her face. This girl was sincere in her actions. He was calmed by the the site.
"Do not wory my lady. I do not wish to fight your friend, but I cannot let Vex to fight that creature by himself."
He did not wish to struggle with her. He sat there waiting for her to let him up.
"Vex seems to have some answers, so we must help him."

OOC: >.< sorry! It was late, i was tired, and i must've read wrong!!!

IC: Zeria's mind eased and she released Damian, nodding.

"I will trust you this time. It seems as if I can trust you, I may have met you before...somewhere..."

She whipped out her Hellfire Blade.

"I wonder how much heat this golem can take?"

Her Hellfire Blade was one of a kind. The blade of it glowed bright red and was told to be burning hot like lava.

"Let's end this!" she cried, dashing towards the golem.

Arthvader "Yhea, Don't forget about me. I'm also going to take down that Golem."

As he got up, Arthvader picked up his flame swords, now burning brighter then ever, and charged towards the golem. He Slashed through the golem's legs with five quick swipes at an alarming speed, causing the golem to not be able to move . Appearing behind the golem after the attack, Arthvader then informed the rest of the group.

Arthvader "Hurry up, finish this golem while he is incapable of moving."

Zeria nodded and took her stance, drawing in energy to her blades.

"Guys, it's going to take some time before I have enough energy for this attack. Guard me until I'm ready!"

Black and red waves of energy radiated off of her and her blades began to glow brighter....

Damian stayed at a distance. He swung his sword throwinf streams of fire into the face of the golem. It wasn't enough to do much damage to the stone creature, but it did prevent it from seeing anyone around it. It would take too much energy to increase the intensity, and he had no idea how long this fight would take.
"I'll cover Zeria. I can stop him if he comes this way."
He could see the Golem flail its arms around trying to hit anything in its reach. If they were not careful they could be seriously injured.

Zeria drew in more and more energy. As its level of power increased, little cuts slashed across her body and trickles of blood began to slowly spill to the ground.

"Ahh...."

She winced, the energy levels dropping for only a moment, before she took control of them again. Her whole body was shaking and Zeria was unsure of how long she'd be able to keep this up.

"I'm almost....done! Just a little...longer!"
