PC The Oregon Trail

Yeah so I missed out on this classic game during my childhood years. Whenever my classmates played it on the computer, I sat on the back just watching them. I'm hoping to actually play the game this time.

Not sure which edition to get though. Latest one is 5th edition but I'm not sure if they took away anything from the classic.

Anyway, anyone remember this game? Any recommendations for which edition I should get?

I love this game.

I actually bought a copy a few years ago. Not sure which edition it is but it doesn't work well with recent versions of windows. I actually had to download Dosbox to play it.

I was actually considering getting the newest one since I saw it in Target the other day. I doubt they've removed anything from the game though. The one I bought a few years back was pretty much the same except with better graphics and in color. The one I played in school was monochrome.

I don't know which one I got, but it's a pretty new one on the Itouch. I personally loved the old one much better, but that's just me. If there is a way, I'd say get the first one

apparently Facebook has Oregon Trail on it, not sure how close it is to the original, but then again Idk if you can even find the original anywhere anymore, that was what...windows 95?
