I've only ever heard a French person say 'Haych'. The letter W's name doesn't sound anything like it, so why should H have its own letter at the beginning?

Why do I get teh impression Conor got excited and had a finger spasm which induced him to accidentally post 1238238123 poll options?

I thought it was..............

EY-CH.

Gotta be H...although I never pronounce the H in words: I live in an ouse...I live in an ore :wacky:

Bless your cute heart, greeny.
My grandma speaks in the Jamaican patois dialect so she doesn't pronounce the "H" in words like "house" "hot" or "home."
Lol, she says "'ome" "'ot" "'ouse."
I think it's bloody cute. Too bad she used to scold me when I tried to talk like her.
Anyway I pronounce it as "aych" because in America we like to bastardize the English language. :monster:

Naturally being from the same city as jimmy i say ACH aswell. And zed not see. When i was younger i said zee and mum told me off and said your scottish not american.

Roflmao.
I never understood the "zed" thing when I was in Jamaica.
The kids used to laugh at me 'cause I sounded like I "came from abroad."
And then they used to teach the British way over there so every time we learned words and shit it would be the British curriculum we'd learn under.
We called an eraser a rubber, a trash can was a rubbish bin, I spelled "color" as "colour."
I guess if I really wanted to I could spell everything the British way, they were that strict about it.
And when they taught us to speak proper they taught us that "H" was pronounced as "HAYCH."

The english are always telling us Scots we dont speak properly. They just dinna ken that athin we say maks sinse tae abdy else.

I dunno, I find Scottish and Irish accents to be quite nice actually.
Not that English accents aren't nice either, they're all charming.
But there's something about Scottish and Irish accents that really charms me.

Yeah i wouldnt trade my birth country and accent for anyone elses tbh :hmmm: All i need is a set of abs like gerald butler though and il conquer the woruld.

I always wondered how can you speak "proper English" without a cup of tea :hmmm:

You shouldn't. :mokken: Kind of how I'm proud of being from New York, it's an awesome place. But oh maaaan. Gerard Butler is just yummy. You're fortunate to have him over there.
I'm pretty jealous of European accents. I actually find mine to be really boring really. There's nothing really fascinating about an East Coast accent, at least to me. Maybe someone else is charmed by it. Lol.
