Today is the 9th year of the falling of the twin towers, let this thread be used only to remember those who died during the heroic fight to save the people who were trapped inside both towers. after you post, take a moment of silence. you can share stories of what you were doing when the planes crashed into the towers and if you lost a family member who was trying to save the lives of others. i was in school when the first tower was hit, we watched it on the tv. i was 6 at the time, in 2nd grade when it happened. eveyone was so scared and the teacher was crying.

(for you, Jim). I might be crazy in thinking this, but this was the time in our history when political parties didn't matter, and neither did religion. We came together as a whole. Not as liberals and conservative, not as Catholics and Muslims, but as Americans. Even though this was an awful time in our history, for a little while, our country came together as one. It's sad to see that this all ended up going away and was forgotten. It may be 9 years, but it's still a fresh wound, and something that shouldn't be overlooked by Americans.
