Does any remember this block of cartoons? I don't know why but I thought of it for some reason. XD

My favorite shows were always Talespin, Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck and Goof Troop.

And I swear there was some show about a cheetah with a very long tail? Or did I just dream that up?

I miss the 90's XD

This was an epic period in television history, I loved it too :gasp: Those were some of the best cartoons Disney ever made imo. I think Darkwing Duck was my favorite, some of his quotes were so funny and the dialogue was quite witty :D And now that you mention the cheetah, it does sound familiar, but I'm not completely sure :hmmm: Maybe there was a cheetah who was a secondary character/villain within one of these shows at one point?

I love those shows!

I really loved Talespin and Darkwing Duck. I would watch them everyday, even reruns xD

Hmm...not that cheetah thing does sound familiar. Hold on, I will check! Could it perhaps be the Jungle Cubs?

*searches*

EDIT:
Maybe you are talking about Bonkers? It was part of Disney Afternoon.
Or, do you mean Marsupilami? Its not a cheetah, but it looks like it and has a really long tail. It was a mixed species the creator made, I believe.

Here's what it looked like xD

The cheetah one was Marsupilami :D(sp?) I loved that show so much. We didn't have Disney Afternoon though, we just had Saturday Disney where they'd play every awesome cartoon imaginable!!
Now they just play Hannah Montana and iCarly....-_- what happened to TV??? it used to be so good

Yes it was marsupilami! lol funny thing is, I barely remember that show, just the cheetah looking thing, which is apparently not a cheetah XD

As for what happened to TV. well they decided to focus on the tween audience and everything became about materialism and being famous. Seriously, hardly any shows for tweens are not about somehow being famous whether it's being a pop star, running a popular webshow, being in a famous band, being a famous actor/actress. Nothing kids actually like to do. And they all wear expensive outfits that I don't think anyone could afford unless it's a cheap knock off. I miss shows where kids acted, dressed, and looked "normal" and not like they have a hair and make up artist visit everyday.

And something for you guys

I just remember that Masupilami used to say "HOOOBAH!!!"

And everything you said is so right, i never really thought about the famous theme though and now, every kids show I think about is actually about being a famous kid... or becoming famous or something. Wow. not only is it unoriginal now but every kids going to grow up thinking they'll become a rock star or actress.

Ah, I remember these. My favorite was Duck Tales. I always wanted to swim through a mountain of gold coins. Also, the NES game was pretty good. Come to think of it, Duck Tales' first Feature film was pretty good too.

Also, was Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers on this segment as well? That theme song always got stuck in my head.

Darkwing Duck was ok. It reminded me out Batman, kind of, but it pretty much bored me as a child.

It was a different breed of cartoons back in the 90s and the 80s. Nowadays it seems that we have most cartoons that are appealing to more than just children. I noticed a lot of cartoons have somewhat adult humor intertwined with wacky stuff for the kiddies. Dexter's Lab was a good example of a show for kid's but had some deeper adult humor buried beneath it. Don't believe me? Go back and watch the show and you'll know what I mean.

Cartoons today make sure that they are still entertaining for children but also have a little extra for the adults having to watch it will them. But shows like Tailspin and Duck Tales weren't really like that.

Ah, the treasures of youth.

Good ol' days, I watched just about all of those shows you guys just mentioned. Chip And Dale Rescue Rangers was one of my favorites, and the theme song was catchy. I think I remember Duck Tales?? Is that the one with the rich uncle??

This makes me want to youtube a bunch of old shows

This was awesome!!! Back when cartoons were good!!! and not stupid or annoying... and Nick and Disney really could be watched..... good old 90's!!!!

My favorite shows out of that were Bonkers and Ducktales, then it was Talespin!

Yeah. Scrooge McDuck and his 3 nephews Huey, Duey and Luey.

It's about time someone brought up Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers in this thread. :lew: That was easily better than Talespin, Darkwing Duck and Goof Troop.

For some reason, Talespin really bored me, even though it was one of the original cartoons on that same lineup. I did like Duck Tales though. Darkwing Duck was pretty boring to me as well. And I never really watched Goof Troop because it just didn't look interesting to me. But nothing topped the Rescue Rangers.

I want to say there was another cartoon in that lineup with Duck Tales, Rescue Rangers and Talespin, but I can't think of it at the moment. :hmmm:

:ahmed: Darkwing Duck was excellent.

I didn't really care for Talespin that much either although I did like the theme song. :hmmm:

Darkwing Duck and Rescue Rangers were definitely favorites of mine as well as Duck Tales. There were definitely more Disney cartoons around. Wasn't Gummi Bears Disney?

I don't even remember a Gummi Bears show. :hmmm: But now that I think about it, just before Duck Tales, Rescue Rangers, etc was The Smurfs. I'm pretty sure that was Disney too. :lew:

:ohoho:

The Smurfs may have been Disney. I never really got into that show because they kind of creeped me out, tbh. :lew:

Oh my gosh. I LOVED these shows. Expect Duck Tales. Something that happened to the young girl kind of traumatized me for life. I think she got stuck in a spider web. :thehell:
The Aladdin cartoon scared me alot too, something about Aladdin loosing his head and walking around headless. :brow: But I loved the Gummi Bears, Chip and Dale and Darkwing Duck. Looking back, Darkwing Duck was probably the best. It had a great opening theme song, wonderful characters and humor and it wasn't afraid to be a little dark at times. But I just loved Chip and Dale rangers. I don't know why, I can't remember much of it expect the opening theme, but I loved it to death. And I was heartbroken when it was taken off TV. I even wished and wished for it to come back on the air. :sadpanda: These days, Disney shows are so terrible. They have no morals, no lessons, no character development, no storyline twists and not even good music. If I have kids they are so growing up on these shows instead of the Jo Bros crap they play now. What is Disney thinking ?? -__-

+ REEEP !:cookie2:

I honestly can't remember which one I enjoyed the most. I would have to pick either Chip & Dale or Darkwing Duck. I thought they were all awesome!

How do you pick a great among a list of greats? :(

Oh, Gummy Bears, yeah, I totally remember now. :lew: Now that I think about it, I probably watched that more than Duck Tales when it was on. But I did come around to Duck Tales over time, and came to like that more than the others, with the exception of Chip and Dale.

And after I looked it up, turns out the Smurfs were a Hanna Barbera show, that came on Disney later on.
