The Batman Premiere Massacre at Denver.

Joker? More like Ronald McDonald. This guy wanted to follow Bane's philosophy: "I was nobody before I put on the mask" or the escalation philosophy of Gotham. This Batman film and its mythos like I said, can attract the psychos like these and cause them to experience odd grandeur. I fear for the future of humanity.

Pockets He bypassed gun laws in Colorado by purchasing guns online and from separate stores. They were technically legal individually, but illegal taken as a whole.

In this case, arming the moviegoers would have done nothing, as initially they thought he was part of some sort of stunt by the theater.

Common sense: if it's harder to buy guns, it's harder for these things to happen.

I'm not even totally opposed to guns in general. But no one needs an assault weapon, a tactical shotgun, multiple handguns, or more than one firearm, really. And no one needs tactical protective gear. Let's track those sales.

Well.. Its easy to see the example of other countries in Europe. Guns are not legal and these incidents are less common than the US... Results are at sight and also there are festivals that encourage kids to try war guns (this is probably a recruiting strategy for the military) nevertheless it is an ancient law that was never seriously put to question. Its ridiculous, atrocious and ultimately primitive.
Edit: And dont come with the argument that if guns werent legal those things would still probably happen because by that logic lets just legalize heroin.. Some people will always consume legal or illegal and it will always be sold right?

It's not the action movies that are evil. Just Batman movies. They bring out the crazies apparently.

i think it's far too late now totally outlaw gun ownership in the us. it's gone beyond a question of legality now, and is pretty much a tradition.

i agree strongly with what jesse said about tracking sales of bigger items such as assault rifles and shotguns much more vigorously than they are currently. i think i'm right in assuming that the right to bare arms is only in terms of self defence? unless you're being mugged by a terminator, you have no need for weapons like that to defend yourself.

Oh cmon another half-assed excuse like that.. By that logic slavery wouldnt have never been abolished and for that matter racism as something "legal". Slavery was an ancient tradition yet after a few dozen years of change and questioning of its morals it was completely abolished. Why cant that happen today when we are way more evolved?

because in today's society, the common man has, or at least believes he has, more power and more rights. it would be logistically impossible for the government to put a blanket ban on firearms, and to round up those that people already possess.

But thats a ridiculous way of thinking.. That denies the principle of society's evolution and ultimately will lead to cultural stagnation. I refuse to believe that we've come to that point. In europe the use of guns is illegal.. Eventually the USA could do the same.. Ofc it would be a slow process but ignoring the matter wont do any good. Im sure that the same way pot went illegal guns can also be, doesnt mean everyone will comply though but that is the same regarding abortion, teaching creationism in schools etc etc. I dont believe such a powerful force in the world could have so many people lacking common sense regarding some topics.
