Any plans for Thanksgiving?

I always go to my aunts house. And I get to see all my cousins from out of town :) I was going to make a dish to bring but I've had a cold for the past few days and it'd probably be best for everyone if I didn't :( I may infect them.

And hopefully we'll go out to see a movie after dinner. I want to see Harry Potter but I do not think everyone who would go has seen the entire series.

Going to aunt and uncle's place tomorrow for Thanksgiving dinner. :ryan:

That's really all we're doing. It's just my family and their family. No one from out of town is coming, so I suppose it's going to be rather dull.

We're staying home this year. Usually our family just gathers up at one place and we just eat dinner but this year it looks like it will be just the me my parents and my uncle since everyone else already has plans. Either way things should be much quieter this year so I am definitely looking forward to that.

Typical Thanksgiving for me, I suppose. Me and my girlfriend are visiting my parents in Rhode Island to have turkey dinner. My grandmother will be there too, but she'll be making a chicken for herself. :lew: It'll be most excellent. :ryan:

Thanksgiving was long ago over here. We really dont do much anymore. In the earlier years it used to be nice we woud have lots of food and a really great supper. Right now every year we really dont do anything at all it is just a regular typical day. Pretty boring tbh. Sometimes when nobody ever buys turkey. I miss the old Thanksgivings where I would visit my graandparents and such :sad3:

Stopping by at my dad-in-law's place, which is only a few minutes drive away. Not gonna stay there for too long though. I'm not even sure what time we're coming over, but it can't be too late since we still have to drive to L.A. and have Thanksgiving at my grandma's place, where the immediate family will be gathering. It'll be a huge feast, so I can't wait! We'll most likely spend the night over (not going to deal with traffic that night) and leave Friday morning.

We won't be going anywhere too special this year. So during the day, I'm just going friends house to friends house to see if they're busy at all for the rest of the Break (since I'm leaving Florida in 7 months, I want to spend as much time being busy as possible.), but in the evening - my mom is coming over, and we're just going to eat a lot and gain 20 pounds the very next day. Haha. I feel sorry for some of my friends that actually have to work late on that day, so I assume they'd have to do their celebration during the day .

And hopefully we'll go out to see a movie after dinner. I want to see Harry Potter but I do not think everyone who would go has seen the entire series.

That's so funny, I just went and saw it again today with family :lew: (OMG you have to see it if you haven't yet, it's sooo good :jess: /offtopic)

Anyway, just doing the normal five-person thing (including me) with the other half, I had to help make pies for most of today and will help my husband make the Tofurkey we always do for the two of us sometime tonight. I also learned how to make a bitchin' cherry pie a few years ago, and that's become a new holiday tradition too, since everyone seems to like it so much especially my husband :P But it is really tasty and easy to make, so I just threw one of those together tonight too. Next year we'll try doing our Native American dishes and see if anyone will come over, but for various reasons we weren't able to do it this year :/ At some point we want to try to go up to Cole's Hill in Plymouth, Massachusetts for the National Day of Mourning also, but we don't have the resources atm and aren't sure when we'll be able to yet :hmmm: But I think that would be really cool too, and we want to try to do it at least once, if not more than that.

I think it's an appropriate time to revive this motherfucker. :sir:

Anyway, we're wanting to do Thanksgiving alone, meaning only the 5 of us. However, I have this feeling that my gamma will come over with my aunt, and it'll be a real Survivor Series. :wacky:

As far as food goes, bacon Mac & Cheese. All future arguments are irrelevant. You can't beat that. >_>

as ever, i will not be celebrating the slaughtering of natives from the americas and/or the theft of their land.

i believe i have that week booked off work so i will probably sleep, eat, shit, bathe and do a mixture of other things depending on the weather.
