Well come on a sequel guys to a movie I didn't think would get one. Taken (2008) an action thriller about a security guard (Liam Neeson) saving his kidnapped daughter who is being human trafficked in France by some weirdoes! Is getting the sequel in the form of Taken 2...still starring the normal cast which is a bloody bonus.

it's by luc besson as well, which is the biggest bonus. it won't be as good as the first - everyone knows sequels almost never are - and i'm worried that it'll try too hard to beat the original. the trailer is impressive, apart from the dialogue, which just doesn't have the same impact as neeson's line in the first one. it looks as though they're treating this as almost a blockbuster, when in reality it's a b-movie like the first

I agree with you on the concept of sequels almost never pass the original. But this could well be, but lately in hollywood. The trailer has made said movie look better than the movie actually is. The dialogue in the first film I felt was witty and controlled to a pin point precision. With Liam Neesons deep powering voice...the best line in that movie is one of the best threats of all time.

"I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. It's a revenge film for the Albanians he killed . The father is Boris the Blade from Snatch leading a pack of them this time like some organized crime cartel. I'm mixed in this feeling as the first movie had a very ambiguous cast of antagonists but this time, there's the father of Marco (the kidnapper who says 'Good Luck') who kidnaps the ex-wife and the daughter upgrades to a badass along with daddy to take her back. Sounds refreshing as I was afraid they would kidnap the daughter again in a different locale B(

It will be even better than the first one, because now Liamo can cut down travel time because the Albanians are coming straight to him. Less travelling means more fight scenes, more action, and hopefully more neck chops

good ole boris the blade. His role was too small in snatch.

Itl be hard to live up to the greatness of the first film. Like whats already been said sequels never do. Though there has been a few exceptions.

Either way the first film was awesome so il be seeing this. This would be a film that id actually go to see in a cinema too.
