Strongest Character

I agree that her mix overdrives are epic but since doing alot of deleting of spheres and shizz my only overpowerd chars are my main 3, the others have lost some stats thru said deleting and I just can't be bothered to build them back up :wacky:
 
Auron definitly, hes always been twice as strong as everyone else till the final battle
when tidus and wakka started hitting harder

It's only strong if you know what you're mixing and how to use it. =/. It really is quite powerful if you get the right items together.
 
Although Auron gains the immediate physical advantage in your party, that's the only field in which I'd consider him "strong". Seeing strong as useful, my vote goes to Wakka hands down.

  • He has a pretty hefty sum of HP from an early point in the game
  • He possesses a large STR value
  • Has the ability to hit any foe without missing (trusting you've increased the stat for later enemies)
  • Utilizes techniques such as Dark Attack to great effect against most adversaries
  • Has a decent speed value.
  • Good defense
  • His Celestial Weapon is amazing
  • Attack Reels is one of the most punishing Overdrives in the entire game


Only the latter two ultimately stand out after you've gained access to all sphere paths, but it's sufficient enough for me to put him on a pedestal.
 
Auron his attacks are pretty strong and a lot of the time have one hit kills on lowish lvl enemies, hes also got a high defense compared to the other charaters so hes quite useful for taking damage
 
Auron, Yuna (as I got her onto Lulu's grid as soon as I got a friend sphere), and Tidus. Everyone else, for me, were weak as heck.
 
Well, with Doublecast, Lulu can rival Auron in power. And Yuna has Aeons and Holy.

So I use those three the most, but Tidus and Rikku are also useful in battle. The last two are just useless, IMO. Especially because I've got Lulu on Kimahri's grid now, and she has drain already.

And Yuna has Auto-Life as well.
 
you guys are forgetting that using any character because of a certain ability like black magic or white magic or anything like that is stupid because you can have all your characters learn every spell and ability
 
Tidus, Yuna and Auron were my strongest ones really.

Having a speedy warrior, good healer and a strong warrior was a good combination for me.
 
In my party, Lulu was always the strongest. I never took her out, I gave her a lot of the bonuses I received throughout the game, and she was a powerhouse in her own right.

However, as a generalization I'd agree with Saix in saying that Wakka was the strongest. His status attacks were especially crucial, though it could be up to debate whether or not Yuna is stronger once she hits spells like Curaga and Holy. Afterwards, she could branch out into Lulu's sphere grid and become the strongest, especially with a heavy concentration in MAG.
 
for me Yuna is the strongest, the summons are very powerful and when i got the holy magic other characters just waited till the battle was over. Next two would be rikku and auron...
 
Yuna. I faithfully summon the aeons even when I don't need them. If the creature was powerful enaugh and was overkilled then everyone would get extra AP. And with Yuna having Nirvana it's triple.
After Yuna it's Kimahri, Rikku, Wakka, Lulu... Surprisingly my Auron is the weakest of all...
 
Well I don't know which could become the strongest character, but my strongest and my first to get to Lvl 99 was Rikku, the weakest to start off, she was my first to complete the entire sphere grid and I got her some awesome mods to break over the usual limit of HP/MP.
 
I never really had a stongest character, generally i used a mix between tidus, auron, wakka, and lulu.

kihmari and rikku were pretty much useless, and i only used yuna for her summons overdrives against bosses.
 
Like Boomkin, I used a mix of them all. Or at least I tried, amongst...eight(?) or so it gets a little hard sometimes. I find the strongest character is usually the person's favorite, which of course, tends to end up being the best one.

Mine was Auron, since he was just a badass and I loved him. I used him almost all the time when he was necessary, which was quite often with shell enemies or ones with higher HP, like Behemoths or higher end machina. Though I guess for most of the time Yuna was the best for the summons. Though they can be kind of a cheat, even with Seymour who takes them out in one round, just have them in Overdrives beforehand, use them all and he's basically dead using Yuna solo anyway. But by the end I had Auron doing max damage, same as normal attacks from the strong summons like Anima, so they're overdrives were a waste.
 
My strongest character would have to Auron. After I got all of the video Sphere things to unlock his special hits he was the man. Next would be Tidus, Wakka, Lu, Kihmari, Riku, Yuna...
 
For me it was Wakka, especially towards the end of the Batlle Arena sidequest. I ended up depending heavily on Attack Reels to bail me out of trouble.
 
Mine would be Tidus his magic and attacks deals 9999 damage, then comes Auron and only his attacks where strong, after that comes Yuna since she had Magus Sisters and Anima, I believe the weakest in my party were Wakka and Rikku
 
Auron, he is my top priority. He dies, I try to get him back alive at all costs. I always make sure to level him up. Other than him my strongest character is Tidus.
