I figure that I might need to explain how I am set up and what benefits it has.

Class: Power Striker
Strong points
Strength: 100
Spd: 50
Dex: 50
Hp: 50

Weak areas
Magic and General def.

Pros: Enables multiple turns where attack stances are utilized to double or triple str.
Good against slow or low eva enemies
Good against everything at the late stages. (300 str, dex, and spd)

Con: Easy to evade and beat with good eva.

Pet
Class: Magic Striker
Strengths
Mag: 100
Spd:50
MP:50
HP:50
Weakness
Basic attacks and defence

Pros: Enables rapid enhancement spells for main character
Hard to beat.

Cons: Easy to neutralize.
Not very strong unless with a str based character.

There is a basic view of my character. At the last area of the previous inferno I had maxed out dex, str, and spd. With those maxed out there was only one real way to beat me and that was with haste or the like ability. To my advantage I also aquired an attack stance that multiplied my str by 300. This attack stance caused me to be able to deal massive damage with very little worry of if I missed or not. (I hit above 2k str due to it and my design.)

Albeit your original username's anagram makes "Xaldin", you somehow would fit more the role of "Lexaeus" who relies solely on brute force.

Your post is quite interesting, however the contras of this strategy also places the character to heavily rely on Equipment to cover of the lack of defensive capabilities. Also if your enemies are faster and can hit more, your EVA and low DEF might become your greatest weaknesses.

TBH this topic is for everyone to post up their strategies. But yea that is my main weakness if I get hit hard it could be over for me.

Well in that case...
My strategy consists on focusing on stats such as SPD, DEX, DEF, and STR. Knowing that I can deal two hits for dual wielding Keyblades, I tend to keep a close eye on my other lacking stats such as Mag Def and EVA. I admit, that I didn't increased my HP until later after becoming LV 25, and it was because I wanted to avoid increasing my SPD. So far, my SPD is 70.

My character is a Fast Attacker, sort of like an Assassin.

Actually, a combination of a quick user and a tank with large strength is a very deadly team =D

Well, I had originally planned to be a battle mage skilled in dealing decent-high physical damage and to be more than capable of dealing hefty magic damage. That fell by the wayside cos I don't usually like that type of character anyway.

Now I'm similiar to Superior. But with differences. I've discarded using dual Keyblades because I would rather not have the same weapons as someone else in the Organization. I'm too into their whole Different element/Different weapon dealy. >_>

So now I'm using a Katana. Which I may stick too. We'll have to see.

My main stats at the moment are Evasion, Dexterity and Speed. I plan to hit accurate and fast, while being able to avoid getting hit which means I don't have to depend on physical defense so much; hopefully. My strength is decent and I plan to raise it every couple of levels so my damage increases along with my accuracy. HP I'll be doing the same with. I also aim to start raising Mag Def every so many levels so I don't get TOTALLY raped by mages. <_<

My magic is still decent enough to heal me in tight situations and also deal not so bad damage depending on the mag def on my opponent. :gasp:

I think that's all I have to say there. :gasp:

Well, like in the last two RPG's, I'll be my usual Mage character. Think it like Alakazam; a sweeper.....with high HP. I'll focus mainly on HP, MP, SPD, EVA and MAG. The only weapons I'll use are Large Staffs. My weakness? When the spells miss, you have a free turn.

For my Strategy, i have one a lot similar to Roxas's. I focus on Evasion and Strength the most though, well having my Speed and Dexterity not far behind. This way, against warriors i won't be able to be touched, and i can still hit decent damage, and as long as my dexterity is kept high enough, i can hit too. Now for when it comes to mages, thats when HP comes in. With my high health points, I can hold them at bay well i keep attacking and attacking. Only flaw with this is that they can hit hard against me with such low magic defence. So later, as i level up, i will most likely increase my Magic Defence.

My strategy is one similar to Julius', as my stats focus mostly on hp, strength, defense and speed with dexterity and evasion in the middle and everything else at a low.

As i've always been the RPG's token hybrid i'm starting to turn back to my old defended ways. Having a strong mix of speed, strength, defense and magic/MDEF. And though I'll have no outstanding stats (aside from hp and DEF) I use spells to turn the battle in my favour while being able to handle pretty much any form of attacker. The disadvantage being if I take on a specialist the battle can turn wrong if they can get through my defenses.

sorry for reviving an old topic, but has anyone's strategy changed from back then? If so the how?

No not really I just now can't rely on raising my strength so I shifted my focus to speed.

Well, I'm entirely new so here it is.

I originally went with the idea of a Red Mage Class, balance my stats out, but since I came to realize that I don't use offensive spells often, I decided on going Paladin (with a Gunblade no less....contradiciton much?)
As such I might do it the Cecil Harvey way and focus on Magic Defense and Strength.

Class: Holy Knight (Swordsman/White Mage Combo)
HP: 15
MP: 5
STR: 20
DEF: 15
MAG: 15
MAG DEF: 10
SPD: 15
DEX: 10
EVA: 15
