I hate thieves, I really do. My most recent incident was when my PSP was stolen several months ago. I won't get into details, but I was mighty pissed since I've only had it for roughly a month and my Crisis Core game was inside as well. >.> Good thing I finished the game a few days before it was stolen at least. And I bought a second PSP and I'm extra careful with it now.

Anyway, what are the things that people have stolen from you? Better yet, do you make a habit of stealing?

I'm sure we've all done it at least once. Yes I've stolen before but nothing major. I remember I stole from my school back when I was in first grade...they had some cookies set out and I always used to just stand in front of that table, waiting for the opportunity to reach inside that jar and grab a cookie. I'm sure the old lady selling it knew that I was stealing, because whenever she'd leave the table unguarded, she'd slowly look back, and I'd stare at her. She'd face away from me, and I'd steal again. She'll look back, and I stare at her...the process continues until I've eaten at least 3 cookies. Lol it was pretty hilarious and I crack up everytime I think about it.

And then there was that one time during my friend's birthday. I was 6 or 7, and I decided to buy her some jackstone. It was such a cheap toy. But anyway, I gave it to her as a present. We were at her house and I saw that she had laid them on top of the t.v. All of a sudden I had that urge...I wanted it for myself. So I took it quickly, and ran off. >.> Some friend I was.

But yeah, nothing major. Certainly nothing extravagant that would deserve having my PSP stolen from me as part of karma.

When i saw this thread up at the top i thought it was regarding the final fantasy x-2 scene where yuna and the gang have to prevent the hypello from getting robbed

but I get such urges all the time it is human nature and unless you learn to control it they will control you

Good thread. Especially from the woman who tried to stop a thief once...

The only thing I've ever stolen was a pair of ear plugs when I was about five or six years old. My mother caught me playing with them in my pocket and she took me back to pay the 35 cent price tag. Other than that, I can't think of anything I've stolen.

I think the most common theft I've seen is when people steal bartender tips. It seems to happen regularly at the bar. I know I've had a few drunk friends who have done it by accident but I've also caught people out of the corner of my eye. I never say anything because I can never confirm what I saw and I'm not sure what I'd say if I could.

I stole a copy of Dandelion Wine from an English classroom the last day of senior year of high school, after months of staring at it, contemplating whether or not I should take it. I still haven't read it, though.

I also took The Bell Jar from the school library, read it over the weekend, and just put it back. Daring temporary theft.

I swiped some sweets when I was a nipper, oh and some little tube of fabric paint from school because I thought it was fAR too cool not to take it and destroy things with it.

I had my slim ps1 stolen with a stack of games years ago though, and same as like with you, Id only had it about a month or so - thank god for insurance >_> I was more pissed off at the fact that someone had been in my house rather than what they had taken. I was also pissed that my memory cards went with it aswel....I was really pissed about that actually. Oh I had only just bought FFIX aswel, brand new black label and the insurance company sent me a PLATINUM ONE TO REPLACE IT

Oh, I also had my scooter stolen aswel, I have lived in some lovely areas

Theives are just scum. They should have thier fingers chopped off, or at the very least, Id like someone to empty THIER houses, see how they fucking like it. Bastards

As a kid I stole pointless shit like; gum, fake money and basket ball cards.

During high school some little fucker stole tons of shit from me by breaking into my house; games, clothes, money, booze, movies ect..Actually the first time I met him he stole a PS2 game from me. But I think he ended up getting scared straight in the end (well maybe not scared straight but he sure as hell didn't bother me anymore)

These days I will swipe sweets that my mates leave lying around but I will usually admit it and we will have a lil laugh (they do it to me all the time anyway).

Occasionally I feel tempted to try and con someone (ie convince them to give me money) but my conscience won't let me.

I stole a kinder egg from woolies when i was very young, but my mum caught me and made me take it back. I too Hate theives. Its that whole assumption that the world owes you something. It really pisses me off. That and the compleat lack of empathy for whoever is the victim. I had my house broken into when i was pretty young and they took everything. Think that makes me extra hard on theft in general.

Saying that it also depends on who is losing out. For example if a bank machine gave me an extra ten quid i prob wouldnt own up, but if some old lady in a shop gave me too much change i would definatley let her know.

I only remember one act of theft in my life.

I was 6 years old and grocery shopping with my grandma, I really wanted a plum but, I was too afraid to tell my grandma. So, I quickly grabbed a plum and ate it while we were shopping.
My Grandma looked at me and asked what I was eating. I told her it was a plum and at the Cashier she told him to add a plum onto the receipt.

The only thing I learned is that plums are gross.

never stole anything major..been mugged in the street though..
me and like 4 of my friends, were hanging out, this car pulled up and like 7 indian lads got out, pulled knives on us, took our phones, ipods/mp3's money etc.

police didnt do a damn thing about it

a friend of mine was mugged in the london underground at knife point. Pretty scary stuff. they tried to force him to take them to a bank machine to get more money from him but luckily they were scared away when the guy he was meeting there turned up

I had a huge deck of Pokemon cards stolen when I was about 10. Which is a horribly traumatic experience for anyone. D:
Other than that, I don't think there's actually been anything major stolen from me. Just stuff like pens. Although I've lent out plenty of DVDs and lent people money and never got any of them back. I'm generally too lazy to go get them. >>

I once accidentally stole some chewing gum. I put it in my pocket while I got my wallet out to pay for it, then when I couldn't find it, got some more and paid for it, then found out when I got out the shop that I had another packet in my pocket. :wacky: The funny thing is that I was standing about 3 feet away from the guy on the till the whole time, and he didn't say anything.

In my first house we got burgled and the bastard went away with my brand new playstation, i was only like 7 and i cried for hours. When i first moved into the house i am in now, the car got broken into after 3 days...they stole cat food, how ridiculous is that? they stole cat food.
I stole a calculator from college for my work and also an engineering square thats about it tho.

This is a good thread Mitsuki. I remember when I was in 2cnd grade my teacher use to give us candy for being good and I always wanted more. When it was time for recess or lunch me and a couple of my friends would go in the class when the teacher was not there. I would always take a few twix and my friend would take some snickers. We would always split what we took. I just had to get some candy!:gasp:

A girl at primary school used to steal crisps out of my lunchbox, but then I did some detective work and found out that it was her. >=( Apart from that, I don't think I've had anything major stolen.

I stole a Kinder Egg from Somerfield once when I was about 7, and then my mum saw the toy you get inside them and wanted to know where I got it, and I started crying. >_> And I stole eyeliner from Boots once because they charge you RIDICULOUS prices! I don't make it a habit though because I know that it's far too risky, I got wrongly accused of stealing once last year when I was searching in my bag for my purse and a pair of cheapo earrings or something fell in. They weren't even nice, why would I even go to the bother of stealing them?! D: It wasn't a fun experience anyway, I got banned from the shopping centre for 6 months. ;_;

One time some one took our plant but not the expensive pot about 40 dollars. That was really funny. So then we took it inside just in case it gets stolen too. I'm not sure if someone stole anything from me at least I don't remember if anyone did because it might be a long time ago now.

I don't think I stole anything but I really don't remember too. If I did it's probably a little thing.

I just got my freakin xbox live account stolen recently. Now I have to use my brothers until I get a new one. Also I stole chalk from my teachers so They do not have anything to write with. I also stole alot of cookies especially when I was hungry. Once I was running with a nice nike jacket to show it to my mom and the alarm stated going crazy. They thought I was stealing but I put it back. It was a nice jacket though. Also my first ds got stolen and I was really angry like hell. But now I have a ds lite so am ok. I might buy the new dsi and sell my lite. Mitsuki be careful and try not to get your things stolen just like mine was. How exactly mad were you when your psp got stolen? My old ds had mario kart ds inside and that was like one of my favorite ds games.

To me, stealing always relates to food. My food is always missing (or maybe I didn't realise I ate it). I used to live beside a shop with my family. My Mom used ask me to get something (usually food) from the shop. She would give me money and off I go. Since I was about 7 I didn't realize what you need money for, so I just took a carton of milk and walk out of the shop unnoticed. Once I returned home and gave back the money to my Dad. He asked me how much I spend on food. Eventually he found out I was stealing. Luckily I didn't get shouted at, but instead I got 2 hours of a lesson. (Mom and Dad telling me about money)
