First things first, I'm back into GFX. Out of practice, but still have my memory, so bare with me. I'm still not too good, but better than that last thread. I have this piece I'm working on now that needs a lot. So the first thing in this thread, help me finish this siggy :D

ksig.png

I tried to fix it up a bit and ended up with this
ksig-1.png

I'm not sure I like either of them, so help me out. I don't want to use text in it unless someone is willing to tell me exactly how text should be placed. I hate text...

The main problems for me are the entire left side. But thats obvious

The other issue is that render doesn't seem to fit in with the rest, but it's a pencil drawing, so I'm finding it hard to blend it in. I think I managed fine, but it could be better.

Any advice folks?

I like the first one more, the second overdoes it a bit with the yellow. I'd also suggest you cut down on the blue seeing as it is somewhat overwhelming. I have no idea what you could put on the left side of the drawing, I'm not a huge fan of text, I find it to be a bit of an eyesore. I think the render blends in fine with the rest of the sig. Sorry if the input isn't particularly helpful I'm not much of a sig person :wacky:

ehh theres like 2 focal points, i dont know if i should be looking to the left or right. Colors dont really flow, and cause use some more blending.

The border kills it imo. Also those gray, cloud-like brushing is a bit off, seems too random tbh. Also that yellow is a bit too contrasted, smooth it out then probably rotate it around until you get it in the direction you want to :-)

Totally forgot about that one :hmmm:

anywho, my latest...Ten coockies to he who can guess how many layers :wacky:
Shinjisig.png

4 layers :mokken:

But anyways still jealous of everyone's vibrant colors. You guys gotta teach me how to do that stuff xD. But anyway with this sig it gets a B for me. The yellow and the green are conflicting for me in the peice. I think you should keep the yellow and take out the green...Anyways I like the image. Wish there was more to show though! Good job :yay:

I'm only slowly getting back into GFX...And this one was an experiment

I would love to show you how to do this with colors, but I really can't...I use GIMP and you use photoshop.

And yes, 4 layers :mokken: But you cheated

Oh you have Gimp? I was under the impression you used Photoshop :hmmm:

Anyways, here's how I do it. I make a new layer, completely transparent and I use various fill effects or brushes, then in the layers column, for that very layer, choose one of many effects. I may choose Burn, overlay, color, value, multiply, of divide. If you need more help then that I can make a tutorial with pics and everything :hmmm:

Not a problem. New sig coming soon...(When my sister decides to give me time to actually have the computer) :dave:

I was working hard on this one, but I decided after a long 5 hours to stop messing with it...

I made a sig with some new brushes (thank flash drives I can still do GFX >_>) and...well it didn't turn out too bad IMO...

And then i decided to (for the first time) make some computer wallpapers, so here they are in order from first made to last...

Amigad those are so amazing! I reall like the abstract thing and the red and purple sonic ones! Please! Tell me the name of these amazing brushes! I'm really could use some like these :jess:

Or at least some tips on how to use them. Those backgrounds are ace!

Names...:hmm: I don't know the names, I just download them...

here... This is where I get most of my brushes... http://qbrushes.net/

Have fun with them...Also, anyone is free to use these bad boys...

EDIT: Also, every one of thse BG's are brushes, not pictures :lew:

http://free-brushes.com/ is another good source...

The wallpapers look really great. Specially love the skull one, already told you that.

They make for clear wallpapers, without TOO much going on, yet there's still nice, and appealing colours too. Really like the smudging in the Skulled one, :hmmm: Almost looks like he's popping out of the wallpaper. :gasp:

Keep updating, you're getting a lot better. =)

In my honest opinion, these next ones here are...fail...but I figured I would share anyway.

The text here is supposed to seem hidden :hmmm:
And by slightly, I mean majorly...

And then Hiyori

Well I can tell your getting a better grasp on what belongs in a tag and what doesn't. Your effects have gotten better, and your flow is better from before, but you still need to work on the stock issue lol.

the idea you went with in the Hiyori one is a good one, but it think that skull really ruins it. When your wanting to make any kind of GFX piece - whether it be avatar, wallpaper, tag, or Large Piece - you want to keep in mind that, there should only be one focal, and you should concetrate the effects to go wherever direction the stock is facing.

Overall, you've gotten a shitload better, but you might want to focus on improving on the basics. Look up Tutorials to help you out. If you've been doing so, continue, but also look up tutorials for different focuses. Like for example, flow, effects, focals, colors, etcetc..

But don't give up, sooner or later you'll improve ^^.
