Not quite but ya do have the ghist of it.
You need to select one of the ceglings on the map and have them do said action, then decide if you're gonna use a trap or mini zeus cannon.

Yeah as LJ / The Pumpkin King says, you'll need to specify which character (cegling) you wish to move. This is a list of all the ceglings that are in the game:

If you like, you can move a cegling to the couch exactly as you describe, but specify which room (main room or library), and also whether you are deciding to place a trap to get a ghost (which by the wording of your post I'd presume was your intention) or blast the area with the zeus-cannon.

Ghost trappings!
blasts his mini-Zeus cannon over the corpse of and hits the bin.
Unknown to, the Adrosaur Phantom had actually floated away from this location upon stealing ’s soul. He has, however, successfully damaged the bin.

slithers over the bedsheets to get a good eye at the portrait of Queen Brahne before laying her trap.
Perhaps “I want to be your canary” was on the brain, for within the poster lieth the real Lord Avon, William Shakespeare Ghost! Though this spectre doth protest too much, the trap slams shut.

twerks enthusiastically with his cordyceps-infested booty in the corner of the room. Due to the rot on the brain, laying a trap was only secondary concern, but the Father did so.
Just as the Biblical lions did not eat the flesh of Daniel in the den, the Father clicked and drooled with delight as Lion Ghost crawled passively into the trap.

snaps his toastie and fires his mini-Zeus cannon at the control panel!
No Phantoms are present, but the yellow display flickers off, the panel destroyed.
There is, however, a Phantom very close! A die roll of 3 marks’s soul safe this round.

's instincts are tingling and she catches a case of the zoomies as she bolts all around the rooms. She darts in and out, up the furniture and catapulting all around. Finally she abruptly stops and hisses at the couch, just right of Shelby, as her fur stands up and her tail ploofs out. Despite not having opposable thumbs she gives the mini-Zeus cannon a blast and blows the couch away.

I’ll have to play this more harshly from now on as it is taking too long with only three or so people participating. From now on if a Phantom is nearby then they will attempt to swipe away the soul of a cegling with greater success.

I’ll have to play this more harshly from now on as it is taking too long with only three or so people participating. From now on if a Phantom is nearby then they will attempt to swipe away the soul of a cegling with greater success.

wakes up from his coma awash with bloodlust. He takes the mini-Zeus cannon and blasts the front door of the house just for the hell of it.
