600x300 is waaay too massive for my taste in signatures . :lew: But maybe it was a one time only or a once in a blue moon thing? Not sure myself.
And fuck me for not getting an entry done in time for SOTW 184. :hmph: But I've got a great idea of what to do for the next one . :griin:

Well no one's asking you to make a signature that's exactly 600x300. Most people use something only slightly larger than 500x200.

Mark used these sizings in two guidelines already, so I'm assuming it's a fairly permanent thing.

I dunno, I kinda like the mix up, sometimes it's good to be restricted. :wacky:

Edit: In fact, you sotw people should toss in a specific size only once in a while O.O That'd be challenging. :ohoho:

its very hard to find a really good render of a childhood cartoon...they're so 2D...

Boco

When do the abstract entries go up? Its not til 2moro right? I was gunna make an entry but i dont wanna if its gotta be in within a few hours.

Regarding signature sizes. I'm using 600x300 from now on as a standard, since even with 500x200, people enter tags slightly over that anyway, might as well make it official.

I don't know if Jay is going to stick to 500x200 or not though, that's his decision. For example, he allows vertical tags almost every week; whilst I don't unless it's a theme.

Mark's having problems getting some entries for his SoTW, but I'll have to post up the guidelines for this week as I won't be home until 10:00 PM in about 13 hours. As far as I can go, Mark, sowwy. :gasp:

This week's theme: Human Solidarity

Solidarity - is the integration, and degree and type of integration, shown by a society or group with people and their neighbours. It refers to the ties in a society - social relations - that bind people to one another.

We're all aware of the tragedy happening in Japan. Various international relief efforts are currently being deployed there to help those in need in a time of strife and mourning. Although this SoTW theme isn't meant to specifically use this crisis, it can be a starting point for many of you who might not have any other ideas.

That's a really excellent theme, Jay. Should be interesting!

Sorry for the delay in putting the threads up, folks. I got an AOTW entry this morning though, so they're up now. =] I have a really good idea for next week's guidelines too :ryan:

I think I'm passing on this one... :hmmm: Doesn't interest me that much, tbh. I hope we're gonna see some 'out there' themes, sometime. :ryan:

It's a tough theme, Jay... :lew: For me it wasn't too creatively inspiring, maybe more people had that... :sad2:

I'll try and see if I can make an entry before this weekend. I think I got the idea of it - it's just that I would know the exact terms to search for in an image search engine . :wacky:
