The theme this week was "Something From The Year You Were Born" and I received a lot of diverse entries ^^ So, well done to those who entered, especially since this week, there's quite a lot to choose from!

Ok, I'm not taking any sides with the 1995 one, pretty sure I know who that is...

Anyways, IMO the best was #2. It has such fantastic colours blended in, and the effects just spesking out to me. Love the char. positioning, font etc.

Well Done to people that entered!

4) Although I prefer the colours used in this one, above any of the other sigs, nothing (beside the colours) grabbed my attention. I wanna say it's a nicely done piece, though. Maybe the text could've used a little work?

8) I love everything in this sig. The colours, the brushes used, the brightness and sharpness of the stock used. I'm pretty swiped off my feet, seeing I don't care for the Little Mermaid at ALL, but this sig makes me love it. Definitely made me go for it.

Defninitly a number 8 for me.

Little Mermaid for me again, the background is stunning, I really really like it, its very pretty, I also wish this had been done afew weeks ago when I was watching little mermaid twice a week so I could have begged to steal it :wacky:

Its just so vibrant and cool, there si nothing I can pick fault with at all

For me it was between number 6 and number 8.. both from the same year funnily enough. I really like the effects in 6, especially the newspaper headlines in the background, and the lighting and atmosphere of it is really good.

Number 8 is beautiful and colourful, it looks fantastic and was the first one to really stand out to me, it's very pretty.

Tough choice..... but I'm going to go for... 6.

I went for 2, and I know what others may think upon first impression but 2 was very very clean. The lighting around her is perfect in my honest opinion. I love the dark backdrop as well.

6 and 8 were close runner ups to be honest. I don't like Ariel (sp?) or whatever, but that doesn't make me unbiased for the piece. I just thought the text was harder to read. The image itself though is very nice. 6 had sort of the same problem though. I couldn't make out the text in the background, but the image itself was great. If it had been illuminated I would have definitely gone with 6.

7 was too lit around the edges of the characters. The rest were pretty decent, but I would have to say most of ya'll did a great job!

Number 8 gets my vote. I love how vibrant the colours are and the use of brushes is phenomenal. I love how the background just flows into Ariel, the render is blended extremely well. Seriously one of the best I've seen in a while.

Number 6 is awesome. Excellent colours as well as the text. What I also like about is that it pretty much tells you what happened that year in pictures rather than words.

God this thread makes me feel old. I can actually remember all of those things happening, save RUN-DMC, but I can still remember when they were on the radio/making new albums.

Anycrap, I'm torn between two. #6 and #9. #6 is gorgeously done and speaks to the history nerd in me. But I'm a sucker for the old school, yo. And RUN-DMC produced arguably the single most important rap song of the '80s. So I gotsta hit that one up, playa.

Well in the end it was number 6 for me. Its such a beautiful siggy with those :awesome: background colors! The image was really good and The text Brothers again was my favorite part of this piece of art. I also loved number 7 and 2 but 6 did it for me. Vote is number 6.

I'm just gonna comment on a few since there's a lot of entries this week. >.>

2 - I like this sig a lot, especially the coloring. I'm fond of bright and dull colors all the same (if executed right). I'd say the colors used are somewhat monotone, but the lack of bright colors still makes this a great piece. I love earthy tones. The flow of effects in the background is quite catchy too. Only thing that kinda bugged me is the light brown border on the upper-left. I see it start to go across but then it's erased 1/4 of the way. It makes the tag look a bit off size-wise when you look at that part.

4 - Looks nice and polished. The C4D in the background looks a bit too apparent though, but it still gives that clean effect around her. It's simple, but I think if some shade of color (maybe a bright red or orange) were cast over some parts of her hair, it would give off a very dramatic look.

6 - Absolutely amazing. I know how complicated it is to work with more than one image, and my limit is down to two images, but to have more than two...just wow. This is a good example of artistic creativity, and in my opinion, the artist demonstrated and executed this perfectly. The dark theme, along with the lighting effects, are phenomenal and the smoky and speckled effects here and there made this a successful finished product. It's very busy and has that messy (in a good way) look to it. I'm voting for this due to the amount of pieces it might have taken the artist to put things together by blending them and make it look like one complete complicated masterpiece.

8 - The opposite of six. Too clean and very Disney-looking...I love it! Lovely colors complement each other and it's really fresh-looking. Definitely one of the best eye-candy signatures I've seen here, and I would have voted for it if it wasn't for 6. =/ I really can't find any flaws here too.
