Someone give me strategy for Yunalesca

She is so hard especially the freakin 3rd form!!! Heres how I got angry, the 3rd form had 18000 hp left and then she uses Mega Death omg it is so frusrtating and everytime I try I get beaten by Mega Death!!!! In need of urgent help I battled this boss for 2 months and still can not beat her.

Um, I think if all your characters are in zombie status, mega death will miss.....or at least it will miss the zombied characters anyway

That's about all I can contribute seeing as I can't really remember much other than her zombying me all the time and being a complete BUTT head

let her Zombify 2 of your party, then when she uses mega death, it will only kill off the non-zombie person.
bring the downed person back to life and have them use their attacks and magic or overdrives, then have Yuna cast Holy, easy 9999 since she is weak to Holy magic, easy kill after a few attacks.

if that doesn't work, then go back outside of the cloister of trials and train until you make it pretty far across the sphere grid, and your stats are pretty good or at least 30-35 points higher than they are now, and it should be easier. also try to buld up your character's overdrive till they can be used immediately when the battle starts, it is a great help, and if your stats are high enough, you will get through the first 2 forms pretty easily.

I suggest you pray to whatever god you please, or all of them... and get as much help as you can for this. I was convinced that the only reason I beat her so quickly (only about 10 trys...) was because of luck or a fluke.
It's going back a few years now... But I don't think I had a proper strategy... All the strategies I had been told didn't work for me.

The trick for me was to always have at least one person in zombie status. If one of my characters desperately needed to be healed I would un-zombie them and heal them but I would never un-zombie the whole party. Keeping Yuna in zombie status helped a lot because it made it easier to recover after Mega-death.

Basically I would keep someone in my party zombified (usually Yuna) and just hack away at Yunalesca with overdrives and my most powerful attackers.

If you have strong attacks too, regardless of having power boosts on weapons, equip them with a Counterattack weapon. Not sure how often she attacks physically though...

When she turns all of your characters into zombies leave one of them with the status as that way mega-death has no effect on them. alos Half-MP cost or 1-MP cost is a good way to unleash max damage with Yuna's Holy without using all your MP quickly.

You can learn two useful abilities before this battle: Deathproof and Zombie Ward. To learn the former ability, you need to capture certain fiends for the Monster Arena. Zombie Ward can be learned from Holy Waters. These abilities render Mega Death useless, although you may need to use the odd Holy Water here and there.

If you can't be bothered to learn them, keep your characters in Zombie state for as long as possible. I've found that she has an attack pattern that follows like this: Mega Death, Hellbiter, Spell, Hellbiter, Spell, Mind Blast, Spell. Then it repeats. Knowing this, you can choose when to cure yourself of Zombie. I recommened doing so, straight after every two Mega Death's. (depending on your HP)

Don't stress out; Yunalesca is really quite easy (wait till you fight Penance or Nemisis ><;; ). Before hand, get everyone's Overdrives gauge full, preferably, Aeons included.

For the first form, attack with your hardest hitters and heal/cure blindness if she inflicts it on you.

Second form: She will use Hell Biter, which will Zombie all your characters. Holy Water two of your characters, leaving the one with the highest health Zombied. Continue your assault, remembering to NOT heal your Zombied character. If you want to, Holy Water that character and heal him/her, then hope for another Hell Biter. Overdrives should wait till the next form, but unleashing a few will help. Aeons are also welcome but try not to use too many Aeon overdrives and don't use Yuna's Overdrive.

Third Form: Now Yunalesca will use Megadeath straight off to start this battle. Hopefully you still have the Zombied character around. Once that's done, use a Mega Phoenix to revive the other two and (I think) kill off the Zombied one. Revive him/her. Yunalesca will now use Hell Biter often. It is advisable to keep Yuna in the party now to heal and Esuna Zombied characters. Remember to keep one Zombied at all times. As for Offence, unleash all Overdrives on her, try to get 2 Megaflares if possible. Every Aeon should be used and this will knock a substantial amount of HP off Yunalesca. Finish her off with normal attacks.

Before hand I learned holy but I never really used it. I recommend fighting the Chimiagaist and use the return spheres to gain false levels this allows you to be a higher level then you should be which means that you aeons will also be better against her.
