Die hard SNES fanatic
So a while back, I made an account here, made an intro post, and promptly disappeared, for no discernable reason. Since I've decided to give interaction with other Final Fantasy fans a shot, I'm going to try rejoining the forum and actually posting this time. I don't know if that's a good idea, seeing as how Final Fantasy fans tend to be insane, but I'll give it a shot anyway.
I've been a fan of the series for quite a long time now. My first exposure was to... Final Fantasy Adventure, which doesn't count, so my first REAL exposure to the series was Final Fantasy IV, back on the SNES when it was masquerading as II, and I've been a fan ever since. I'd have to say my favorite game in the series is VI (the GBA port slightly more than the SNES version, but for the bonus content rather than translation), with honorable mentions XI (plot twist!) and Tactics following close behind. On the other hand, my LEAST favorite Final Fantasy is most definitely VII (*GASP!*). Don't get me wrong, FFVII is by no means a bad game. I just found everything about it underwhelming, both the story (it gets a whole lot more stupid when you realize that Sephiroth is essentially just a mama's boy throwing an apocalyptic temper tantrum with his new found god-powers) and the gameplay (although I would probably have loved it if the materia system were as in-depth as FFV's Job system).
So yeah, that's pretty much all you need to know about me at this time, I hope to meet many friends during my stay here.
