Cool name for a topic, isn't it? The birthmark topic made me think of this thread. Does anyone here have any noticeable scars on their body? If so where and how'd you get it? If it's traumatic for you, don't feel you need to post it. Also, if it's traumatic for you, don't bore us all with a pity story.

I have a small scar about my left eye from when I was a kid. Was running around the house, tripped, gashed my head open right about my eye. Got stitches and it was fine.

The only other scar I have is on my right wrist. When I was working in industry, I worked with a machine that had a series of large circular straight-edged blades. There was a wrap in the machine and I was trying to clear it quickly. My hand slipped and I cut a nice C shape from right beneath my thumb to directly under my wrist. The center part of the "C" came inches from a main artery. They said it might have killed me if it were about a 1/4th of an inch to the left. The only thing that hurt about the whole experience is when they had to inject local anesthetic all around the open wound. Eventually I came up with the story that I was in a bar fight and when the guy I was fighting knocked me into a table, my open palm broke a beer bottle leaving a cut in the perfect shape of the bottom of the bottle.

Here's a Picture - Do NOT Open if you're a pansie

Fucking Ow!!!!!! That sounded and looked painful. I have a scar on the bottom of my chin from where I was little and I was pressing against the screen door waiting on dad, and he opened the door and I fell out and cut myself on the bottom of it. The bastard! That's the only one I got.

Oh, man. God, that's nasty. Pretty badass story to accompany that scar as well. haha

Anywho, I have several scars. Nothing quite THAT severe, though.

Got one on the right side of my face. Ran full steam into a barbed-wire fence. Didn't see it since it was dark outside. And I also have one on my knee. Tripped while jogging. Probably would have been fine if I didn't mess with the scab.

That's my badass scar story. I picked the scab.

I don't have any scars overly big.
I have a small one on my right finger when Katie's sister nipped me. :wacky:
One on my right wrist where the scab was knocked off.
One of the joint of my right thumb where a shard of glass went in so deep I could see my bone. :P
And lastly, one on my right shin from when I dropped a glass bottle when I was a wee kiddie and a piece of glass cut my shin.

Apart from that I'm good. :monster:

Oh gross xDDD

I have nothing bibut got loads of small ones, Im so clumsy. Il start at the bottom and work my way up

Ive got a scar on the ball of my foot from standiong on a peice of glass in a canal
One on my leg which I THINK a dog did
Another less visible one on my leg from falling over in the kitchen and landing on that metal thing in the door way
One on my knee from falling over on some ice going to watch Hyde United
carpet burn on my knee which scarred-__- (cant really see either now)
Theres a really long scar on my thigh that I think I got from climbing over a fence
One on either hip although only one is visible now, I fell on a kerb on time and off a house for the other
My left elbow has a scar from falling over in a kebab shop
Theres one on my right arm which I have NO idea how I got, Ive had that since I was a nipper
Theres a scar on my chin from running into a lamp post
One on my lip from falling off that house

A big scar further up just under my tattoo from leaning on hair curlers

Alot of these are barely even visible to rarely ever now, and aside from the one on my arm and th one on my thigh they are all like small to about an inch or 2 big......

I have only one noticeable scar but it can only be seen if I bend my right knee straight. I got the scar from falling off the merry go round at the playground when I was younger. Somebody spinned the carousel a bit too fast and I flew off. I was bleeding a bit too much so I had to get stitches.

Lol i have a heap almost all of them from work

i have a scar about an icnch long on my left hand, the side of my hand was crushed under a bit of pipe.

I have a chunk out of my right index finger, where i cut into it (accidentally) with a grinder.

2 cuts on my left thumb, 1s pretty deep, also caused by using a grinder

A scar above my right eye, when i fell down the stairs, and a scar on my ear from the same incident.

scar on my big toe, i was trying to juggle with knives and it fell..

I have one on the heel of my right foot but it's more like a callus than a scar. I got it from wearing heavy Timberland boots to one of my school dances, rubbed the skin raw and it's developed into this "scar" ever since. That was 3 years ago.

I have three scars on the right side of my waist, which, now, just look like stretch marks. I was running through my auntie's garden and I caught my body on her gate. That was about 10 years ago. <_<

Other than that, I have nothing.

I have a triangular shaped scar on the inside of my left arm from when I was making scones in first year home ec and dropped the oven tray on my arm. D: That was about 5 years ago and has sort of faded now though.

I also have a very faint scar on my left hand from where I had a big horrible skin infection when I was 13, so 2 and a half years ago. It's also faded a lot though.

And I have a scar on my left knee from when I was about 7 and fell over in the playground, I kept picking at it so it left a scar. >_>

Ohhh left knee, I forgot about that. I fell over on a stone step at my uncle's house, once, and took the scar right to the bone. It's only faded in the last year or so and it was a good 14 years ago that was made.

I also had a small scar for a few years after I incorrectly used a razor, maybe belonging to my mum, to see how they work and if it would take off some of my leg hair. I was 14 and discovered that it did work. :wacky:

I have at least one or two scars which are noticable.
One in the left side of my lip, when a tooth went through it. Yes, possible. two stitches.
Other one below eyebrows, I have no idea where did it come from. I just woke up one morning and it was bleeding, now scar. Hard to see, though. x)

But then, I have many scars in my legs, mostly in knees.
some in my arm too

I don't really have any noticeable scars.
There is one on my head that I received when I was about 4 years old (can't remember exactly), standing under a cupboard while my sister was opening up the padlock... She dropped the padlock, and it fell on to my head. :D There was a lot of blood. It's noticeable more now as a dent than a scar as such, and you have to look for it to see it, or the light needs to be shining in the right places.

Other than that, scars I have had have faded with time. Claw marks on my face took years to fade (my sisters friend didn't like me getting my ball back!), but they've practically gone now. The hook mark near my lip faded (silly experiement when I was about 10 with those elasticy rope thigns with hooks on the end.. Tried to link doors together, I let go.. It went wrong and I got hooked almost.. Though it didn't quite go through)... But silly little things like that fade over time, and I think they're gone now.

Nothing as impressive as you near-death wrist scar.. My little injuries come more from a comedy sketch in comparison.

I have many scars from my previous soccer games. I also have a nasty one in my right leg which caused by a sharp wood thing. I also have a newly added scar. That scar was caused by myself when i tried doing parkour and then I hit this park bench. It let a slashed like mark that I will never forget.

I have a scar on the inside of my left leg that I got from my cat when I was about 7 years old. Damn thing went physcho kitty on me one night and started scratchin me everywhere :gasp: He got me pretty bad on both my arms and my legs, but the scratch on my leg is the only one I go a scar from. Thankfully, we got rid of what I like to call "Hell Cat"..

Other than that though, nada.

Twat an interesting topic! ^.^

I have a small scar on my left pinky. I was walking to school one day...and I tripped...and rolled...and some old milf even slowed down and watched it happen as she drove by. I only have a small scar on my left pinky to show for the whole event. ^__^

I also have a small rectangular indentation on my left leg, right above my knee. I first noticed it many years ago as a wee child. My uncle was in the garage working with the air compressor...I heard the compressor kick on, and then I looked down at my leg for some reason and noticed a rectangular mark on my leg...
The air compressor had nothing to do with it...that's just the first time I noticed it. It's probably a birth mark though.

I have a scar on my leg that's like an inch long...from my razor. You have to look really close to see it though.

I had a good look around, and I think that's it! o_O

EDIT:

Oh! I forgot to mention...
I once fell onto some rocks and tore my hands open, and...I have no scars to show for it.

I also tried to give my cat a bath when I was a little kid, and...as I was about to put him in the tub, he held on to my arm and ripped it to shreds. No scars from that either. o_O

It's funny what memories this topic brings up!

Hm, i dont have any incredibly noticeable scars. I have one above my left eye, but below the eyebrow. You cant hardly see it unless you look closely. I got it from my older sister's birthday party. I was like 3 or 4, and we were at the skate deck. I tripped on the deck and as i am getting up, a kid with light up roller blades comes zooming by. I find it ironic that it was the ONLY kid with light up skates. He hit me in the spot and i remember blood gushing down my face as it began to blur my vision. (Much like a james bond game) The last thing i saw was my mom running out to me in my vision of blood.

I have another scar under my right ring finger. I was also little when this happened. My finger got caught in a wood door and the top segment of the finger was chopped off. I had to get it sown back on as you can imagine. Now i can hardly clip the damn nail and it grows a shit load. Sking grows under it and it gets really sensitve when i cut it. So i always have at least one nail that is freakishly long.

Well I have a few scars so to make the story short..
1) Under lips, left side, just a diagonal small scar. Mom/Mum said it was when I jumped off a furniture trying to act like Superman....which of course I do not recall to have ever happened....ever -__-
2) Right shoulder, diagonal scar (covers almost half of my shoulder) made after jumping off a fence and ripping some of my skin off....I actually never noticed until I figured that my shirt wasn't suppose to have red stains..
3) Under my right Biceps, made with another fence...
4) Right thigh, made at junior when playing hide and seek...
5) Left wrist...can't recall when it got there -__-
6) Right calf, while wood-sword playing with my friends...age 13....lost balance when my wood sword shattered and my right knee landed on the stone and what was left of my sword...

On a side note, I thought this thread was going to be about "Scar" from The Lion King

The only thing I can think of that is kinda visible (although you really have to look hard for it) is near my right shoulder, but not exactly on my chest. I was only 2 or 3 when it happened...I was wearing a thin shoulder strap and the curious kid that I was, managed to reach up for an extremely hot cup of coffee that was set on the table. It spilled all over my chest and luckily, my parents brought me to the emergency room right away. From what they told me, the shirt that I was wearing had actually stuck on my skin and the doctor had to cut my shirt. It didn't leave any serious scars on my body at all, except for that strap on my right chest-shoulder. It doesn't even touch my breast, which I'm really glad, but it did leave about an inch mark very subtle scar just right above.

Funny, I actually still remember that incident...

At least I remember vividly when I reached for that cup of coffee. As it spilled on me, I started crying and saw my aunt peer from a doorway, completely stunned. She didn't move (probably a late reaction) but kept staring at me. It was her coffee, by the way.

At least my mom and dad had the sense to react fast enough. Thank goodness for that.
