[RPG Clan] *Radical Dreamers*

Hmm.... alright, I'll list down one!

By the way, the best definition for me would be warrior.

info:
Text/title: Shadow the Claw
Color: The same red as my avatar!

Might as well put this part in as well...

Most Memorable boss fight: Black Turtle, since it was so easy for me at the time. Beat it down and didn't even have to use a potion.
Hardest Boss So far: Tonberry. Tonberry kicks my ass. :(
Most Annoying: Eh, Tonberry again.

Dreaming Journal: Shadow!

Let's see.... Mainly, at the moment, I'm training solo. After partying up with people all across the board, mainly Oli and Kev, to get to places, I finally ditched and trained solo. After hitting lvl 10, I went up against the Black Turtle. Surprisingly easy boss fight, I gotta say. Then again, I have a massive DEF and HP pool, so eh.

Back to training and exploring again. One word of advice to fellow Dreamers: Do not. Mess. With the Tonberry. You WILL die.

Entry two!

Took on Kevin in a one-on-one match. The bastard was holding back despite me being a level above... either way, I won, and he barely dealt damage due to god-like DEF.

After that, we healed up, and journeyed into the Dipan Castle. I gotta say, if you have good enough DEF or EVA, they're pushovers. Once we got down to the dungeon, we took on the Fire Dragon.

Basically, it's normal attacks are about as powerful as the rest of the crap in Dipan Castle. The Dragon Breath, though, can wipe out at least 100 of your hp per use, and it likes to spam it. Pack Whisky, and keep up hitting his pool of hp, and it will die.

Espada
Job Class: Assassin
Color: (Preffered Yellow but might be something different)
Memorable Boss Fight: Black Turtle- Not too difficult if you have enough EVA and STR
Hardest Boss: Tonberry, killed me in two turns. -__-
Most Annoying: My first run against the Ochu, I did not see poison coming.
Other Note: Espada is Spanish for Sword, and a member of the Royal Sapin Air Force, 9th Air Land Division, 11th Tactical Fighter Squadron

Journal Entry:
Did a massive level jump today, from level 9 to 15 in 4 1/2 hours. Fought against Shadow, who won due to me holding back Attribute Points. It was a fight similar to a fight in the previous RPG.

After that, I teamed up with Shadow and mowed down Dipan Castle like a red-headed stepchild. the Fire Dragon was a clear threat, with it's spamming Breath Attack, but it went down after 5 minutes of combat.

Now, I must finish my leveling up (to 18) before I declare myself ready to take on the Demonic Tonberry.

I hate that son of a...*explicit*

Memorable Boss: TONBERRY
Hardest Boss: See above.

Lucia's Journal of Dreams

Well...

Grinded for a bit, and then took on the PvP battles. The first one against Joey was very annoying, we were actually evenly matched, so I forced him to escape xD However, both Jess and Diar beat me, so this proves I need more practice.

Out.

Hmm... I'm tempted to make a bestiary of the RPG...

By that I mean I'll collect scans of the monsters that are everywhere in the RPG and put them into a list, as well as a few tips about each of them. Anyone think I should do it?

I'll edit the beastiary in the beginning and list some helpful tips too :hmmm:

Journal entry 1

Did some spell training. I finally got all spells over level 2! I also finally got level 6 spells which rock now! I feel really bad seeing as I'm not as high leveled as the rest of the clan. I feel weak and inexperienced. I also desperately need to find more time to level up more.....That's all for now!

Journal Entry Number 3

I BEAT THE FUCKING TONBERRY! After losing to it once, i changed my stats around, and then I beat it into the ground. I'll tell you my tactic I used.

A. Make sure you have Berserk, Hit & Run, and a pair of daggers/claws, your preference. Also stock up on whisky and equip yourself fully. Alright, so you invest 36 modifier points into your hp, bringing it up into the thousands. You also have 20 in STR, 28 in DEF, and 17 in SPD. (little bit variable depending on lvl, but keep it something in that ratio.) You go fight the little bastard, and this is how it works.

Your gonna have two turns, the start, and then one after Tonberry hits you, before going to the next round. First turn, hit the fucker with a normal attack, both weapons, bring your ADR to 2. After that, he'll hit you with something, but ignore it. If you have as much health as you should, it won't matter. Cast Berserk, and then keep spam hitting him with Hit & Run from both weapons until Berserk runs out. Use your next two turns to chug down two bottles of whisky and heal. Rinse and repeat.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm putting down the strategy in the bestiary.

You've got to be fecking kidding me...

It's been a long time since I last heard about the Radical Dreamers. I remember there was a band with that name in Chrono Cross, and also a spin-off game called Radicar Dreamers with Ridel as Lynx's daughter instead of Viper. o_O

The song "Prisoner of Fate" from Chrono Cross soundtrack always makes me feel sad...the battles against Miguel and later against Dario with this song playing in the background were so...:sad3:

Every single boss of Chrono Cross is epic. Except...well...actually even Starky was cool. -__-

So is this only a RPG Clan or are we having Chrono Trigger/Cross discussions? :awesome:

If not then ok...:sad3:

Oh and...

Awesome! new member!

Anyways, I think we can talk about other stuff. We just mostly have been doing RPG stuffz so as to establish ourselves. We can do all sorts of stuffs beyond that, we just haven't chosen to.

On a side note, I made it to Dipan, finally. Oddly I thought the Black Turtle was going to be a hard one since I didn't had many potions left, but I didn't had to use any. :wacky:

At least Alicia didn't died again. -__-

I found, overtime, and depending on your playing style, that either Alicia becomes inseperable from you due to her abilities, or she becomes useless and you leave her to be on your own.

In either case, I believe it is something that may crop up in the RPG whenever pets are made. They may either become extremely valuable to you, or they become obsolete, and are therefore ditched.

:x3: anybody who wants information on the RPG, let me know. I'm the one who's keeping the information compilation, so I'll have a lot of information. What isn't in the RPG Resource is either not written down by me or unknown, so you need to bug a moderator.

Tonberry: Cardiac Method

Since I beat this thing before the new stuff was added, I will tell how I did it.

Using the sword/shield combo and a pet, I stocked up on whiskey before-hand and reallocated my points. I put 6 on speed, then dispersed the rest between HP and STR (I don't remember exact numbers because I wasn't raelly paying attention). The pet got offed with his first turn, so I was able to get a free shot in there. I would attack until my health got to below 300, then use a whiskey to get it back up. I also had a somewhat high DEF so some hits were "not counting" per se.

And that's basically how I did it. I'm sure both methods will work just fine, but some luck will be needed in this fight. Whichever method you use will be up to you.

Lucia's Method (might as well...)

First of all, Tonberry killed my pet first round so, I did it with no heal. Whisky FTW :ryan:

Second, I changed where I attack quite a lot, or else, the damage would be zeros.

NO MAGIC. JUST KEEP ATTACKING IT. Always have 400-600 HP.

Espada Journal Entry III:

Made another level jump to level 19, mainly by killing werewolves and Harpies.

Tonberry-Espada Method:

Unlike many of the Methods already shown, I've started out at a disadvantage, (Tonberry's 200 DEX vs. my 125 EVA). However, how I fought at it. I used the Beserk Spell on occasion. All I needed to do was keep hitting him since my strength (at the time 150) was superior to his defense.

Simply put, keep hitting him, and use Whiskey everytime you fall below 300 HP. Make sure you start off with at least 600 HP (I fought the battle starting with 750 HP). Don't be afraid to use Whiskeys and keep at it till he goes down.

P.S.: I told you that a battle of attrition would work Shadow. :ryan:

*punts Kevin*

And yet I still kick your ass one-on-one.

Anyways, thanks for putting down your strategy, Kevin! *goes off to write it down*

It's good to get different strategies for something, that way they have a "fallback" plan in case they get stuck.
