Watched the trailer yesterday and it looks utterly amazing.
Looks like wer gunna have a new main character in the third installment which makes sense if youv played the previous 2 games.
What struck me was the use of real people instead of cinematics. I wonder if the whole games gunna be like that? You can see that when your holding your gun in game its a real persons hands and a real gun. Very clever idea imo, heres hoping itl work. The graphics look immense aswell, and by that i mean the enemies in the game and the scenery. Obviously theyre not real.
Resistance has alwyas had excellent gameplay and storyline, the multiplayer was decent aswell though when you compared it to the likes of call of duty it didnt really stand up in terms of excitement. But many aspects of it were fantastic, like you could create your own online public game using whichever preferances you wanted. Grenade only, snipe only etc etc Or search for games in a similar fashion.
So im hoping that theres really been a lot put into the multiplayer to make it stand up to the likes of call of duty. Resistance has far more potential than any other fps when it comes to creativity. As the timeline is alternate its not bound by the law of 'keeping it realistic' when it comes to weapons killstreaks etc.
scheduled for a 2011 release.
Heres the trailer for those interested. Its epic
