Multiple Platforms Red Dead Redemption

Rockstar has updated the Red Dead Redemption website to include some new information on the northern-most territory of West Elizabeth. It’s got some mean grizzlies and wolves running about the place, apparently, along with an outpost and a wrecked riverboat names Serendipity. You can check it all out for yourself through the interactive map of the region

I pre-ordered. Hopefully the deadly assassin costume doesn't end up propelling Marston to god-like powers or it will be a pretty lame game. :mokken:

I pre-ordered about 5 minutes ago, I caved. On the other hand, if it turns out to be shit, Nick is giving me £40 to make up for it.

Also, the Official Playstation Magazine gave it 10/10 :busta:

Rockstar has sent over the launch trailer for Red Dead Redemption, and honestly, we don’t know what else to say about the game that hasn’t already been said.

Suffice it to say, “we wants it Precious”, and we will get it next week when it hits the local shops. We may have to pawn a few bits of jewelry here and there to get it, but hopefully it will be worth it.
We’re joking, obviously.

I think the one I pre-ordered comes with golden guns... It seems like every game I get now happens to be a special golden guns edition. :D

I'm quite looking forward to playing this. I've not looked into the singleplayer much, but the online looks fantastic.

You can't even use it right off, you have to do certain challenges to even unlock the special items first, so I doubt that is too true. :pockets:

We have this Video Game Geeks store 3 minutes away from us. If I pre-order there, the game will actually arrive Monday instead of the release date on Tuesday and I can pick it up on Monday afternoon for $57. So we'll see.
 
Nick, don't wait for IGN. They might as well be owned Micro$oft based on their articles. They'll give the 360 version 10/10 whilst PS3 version receives 6/10. :8F:

They might have a range of controls, most games tend to nowadays to suit various types of people. :hmmm:

Gamers are getting eager to play the upcoming Red Dead title and it looks like the PS3 version just landed a couple exclusive pieces of game content that may make multiplatform owners pick the PS3 version over the Xbox 360.

Very similar to Batman: Arkham Asylum, which had the exclusive feature of playing as the Joker, Red Dead Redemption will also feature some exclusive to hopefully sway the consumers mind towards the PS3 version. It did work with Batman and the title ended up outselling the Xbox 360 likely due to that reason. The exclusive content will be Solomon's Folly Gang Hideout and Walton Gang Outfit -- according to the retail box. The content is included for free and packed in the game's casing.
