I was just thinking, I have seen so many comedy cosplay videos where they have fun with the characters and usually play with stereotypes a lot. I love these a lot but I was just thinking, does anyone do accurate remakes of scenes?
Are there any videos out there were people have gone for accuracy with their costumes and have acted out scenes from Final Fantasy games to the best of their ability? I can't seem to be able to find any and, if I had the money and people to cosplay, I would love to do one.

My question is: Has anyone seen any videos like this? please link me if you have. I would love to see them! A real life version of the scenes would be amazing to see.

Also, feel free to discuss whether you would like to do things like this, if you would like to see people doing it or any videos you have seen and what you think of them.

well, does reenacting a fight count because i saw one video where this guy dressed as reno and another dressed as cloud fighting as if in the game.

I have Zell's jumper and jeans he wore from ff8 and I have a few more cosplays and I have even gone around town as sailor moon and it is fun seeing peoples reactions!

forgot to mention I have been tomb raider and a few lads were wilf whistling at me!

i dont think he/she meant cosplaying. I think they meant actually making a video reenactment of a scene from the games.

No, I've never seen any re-enactments of scenes anywhere before. The closest I've seen are just people in costumes playfully pretending to be beating each other up on a hillside, as well as FF-parodies such as College Saga.

I can probably see why no one seems to have bothered doing any. With all the magical effects you will need (and the money to do so) and the props needed to make the re-enactment at least look serious, I highly doubt anyone would bother working out how to do all this. There's no real point anyway.

i wanna see a reanactment of the Sephiroth/ Angeal/ Genesis battle on the huge cannon. Imagine the pros needed for that XD

I wouldn't mind seeing that either. However if it's to be a fully accurate re-enactment, you would need to take it to Hollywood-level or something. :wacky: It would certainly be almost impossible for amateur fans to try and imitate that as much as possible.

Also, I would feel sorry for the person who has to play as Sephiroth to have to be able to hold his Masamune let alone use it like that. xD

Or the one who has to fund the building of the cannon that they cut T.T. i Actually feel for the guy playing Angeal who has to hold the Buster Sword AND the SOLDIER broadsword.

Hey I can set that up flure(?) I have a Buster sword a MAsamune And the Execution sword of Gwnisws I just need 13 guys or girls and we are set! I used to Cosplay as Auron I love the whole arm in the jacket thing he has going on imagine the stares you would get as him
lol

You dont need hollywood you just need 3 midgets and storm water pipe lol

This reminds me of a FF parody I saw on YouTube once. A bunch of Spanish fans ended up re-enacting some battles from FFVIII. They edited over the video with special effects, it was very entertaining although I was actually embarrassed for them! You could see people in the background, probably wondering why these adults were parading around in fantasy costumes and pretending to be in battle. :wacky:

My friend and I once thought of doing it. That was a long time ago and it was just a silly thought. But, it would be fun... :hmmm:

And where, i pray, will we find three midgets, Galaxy? XD

In any case, i wouldnt mind doing it as long as it is filmed in a secluded area and im dressed up enough not to be recognised too easily.

I think it would be very hard to act out an FF scene without looking / acting / actually being very silly.

It would cost a lot to do it properly, even if you did a scene which doesn't involve any special effects. You'd still need costumes (which would be costly if they were to not look silly), and a decent location. You can probably guess that the only location people can ever go to (without extensive travelling) is their local park, which means that they inevitably have the odd man walking his dog in the background reminding the viewer that they are in fact just being ridiculous in costumes in the real world, and are not FF characters. :D

Most real life FF scenes turn into parodies because of this. Most people can't afford to do it properly, and it therefore becomes a joke even if it is intended to be serious.

I'd love to see one that is well made though. Perhaps if people could get together with a blue screen and film it within a small studio they could make something quite impressive, though still costly and needing a lot of effort.

Not that lm saying we should

i do believe Halcyon is spelt with a Y...i think....though ive only seen the word and have no idea what it means.

They might fall for it. :hmmm:......

lets get luring XP!

I wanna see midget carry full size masamune cutting a storm water pipe!

I think your right! Halcyon it mean the days of Happy times and the best memories....

better do better than this, um.....You into that kind of thing? lol
Well what about BGM if you now what that means? just play the music from the video?
They could be made out of wood to get a more effective action outta them, the swords that is not the Midgets lol

Damn, cant find the link!! But there was an 8 liveaction and filmed in a small neighbourhood. It was awesome as the 3 main people ran behind each other all the way through, went into peoples houses and they reacting with "Why are you in my house?? Please leave!" Was so funny!

Hhahaha. well i cosplayed a few times the few times i was in japan at those conventions, but acting....im not too keen. i suck at dialogue XP

I know what BGM stands for.

I say just use blue screen and shitty free home editing program.

Now, seeing someone dressed as Seymour summoning Anima in the middle of a crowded city would really brighten up my day! ♥
Anima: the ultimate pest control device. "They're just stray dogs and pidgeons, for crying out loud!"

I'd love to see a dwarf turn Windsor Palace into an airship, as well.
