Anyway, I couldn't help feeling that this echoes the 7/7 bombings of London a few years ago. My answer? The tradition should be forgotten really, so that the souls of those who died can be put to rest. As someone pointed out earlier in this thread, you can't dwell on the past for the rest of your life. You have to move on to the future and look ahead.
On another note, I actually celebrate my birthday on this day, so you can see how it can affect me in a way. I should be happy when as a matter of fact, around 3000 people died that day six years ago ...
