I think I might go see it, but I don't have very high expectations for it. I mean when you put out a game ported to a movie, and you throw in the BIG names such as Jake, well ... I don't know..

If there is another thread out there, my apologies. Anyway what do you think? Are you going to see it?

The preview looks great but jake gyllenhaal is not a good fit for the prince =C though he is a great actor.

I'm looking forward to it, to be honest. I think rather than turning a game into a movie, they're taking the basic idea of the game and using it as a plot. I don't like who they cast for the Prince, though. Then again in the original game he has a British accent for some odd reason. <3

Bloody Disney ...

But Im impressed with the trailer. JB is behind it also, so its thumbs up for me. Jake looks like the Prince IMO and I hope it does well.

Disney + Bruckheimer = misgivings for me. Also, it looks like they blended elements from all three games and morphed it into one movie. If that's the case, they shouldn't have bothered calling it PoP: The Sands of Time. Should have just gone with PoP. But I'm picky that way. I'll probably give it a shot, as it looks like it could be good. But my expectations are not high.

I'm not so sure about this. It looks good. But the main question is will it be good. My theory is unseen as of yet. It's just too early for me to tell if im interested or not. This might be worth following for awhile.

Wow this looks awesome so far!

That trailer showed a lot of awesome scenes and I love all the special effects in it!

Isn't that guy from Donnie Darko? He looks better in this that's for sure. XD

But yeah anything from Jerry Bruckheimer is usually always good, so I hope it isn't a disappointment.

You can tell the producer made Pirate's of the Caribbean, it has that feeling throughout. I'm not entirely sure what to make of the film though, in terms of games out there it's probably one of the games that would generally succeed as a film. Looking at the trailer, special effects are probably going to be the highlight of the film which is probably a good way to go. I still get a feeling though that it's going to be limited for the pure fact it's Disney >.>

An excellent preview! I got the first game sometime ago, but haven't gotten around to playing it much. I may actually do so now that there's going to be a film based around it. Looks like it's got loads of action, so I guess this'll be one of the films to look out for next year!

The trailer has gotten me quite interested :monster:

Ive heard about the movie coming out though never really looked too much into it. the producers of The pirates of the caribbean were great and so, this film probably won't disappoint me. but, im not sure yet :hmmm: i'll probably see it. It has great visuals and so, it might not be so bad on the big screen :monster:
I typically don't like Dines movies but I can't help but think this movie is gunna be hella good.

I'm not sure if I was aware that they were doing a PoP movie. It does look quite impressive from the trailer, though I haven't played a single PoP game, so I'm not sure how the movie fits with the games.

I'll be interested to see it at some point, but I'll wait to hear other opinions. As said, movies based on video games with big names in them tend to often be a bit of a disaster.

If this one will be or not I guess time will tell, but it is hard to tell from the trailer, though the trailer does the movie favours in making it look impressive.
