Oppression: RP

A spark flew off from Luciana's body into the air and disappeared.

Suddenly, plenty of more sparks began to appear that shocked her body back to life. Luciana breathed in and out, panting. She removed her hands from her stomach and noticed blood was still dripping. Wow, she was alive. Again. This was just the curse of being the lightning elemental. Whenever she would seemingly fade into the world of the dead, her power would shock her back to the world of the living once more. Unfortunately, she'd lost count how many times she'd died now. Well, she could've sworn this had happened before, but this was the only time she even remembered.

"Luciana!"

The faint footsteps of Harrison came from the distance. Within seconds, he was knelt down by her side.

"What happened!?" he asked frantically.

"Doesn't ... matter ..." she said, groaning when he lifted her in his arms.

"It does matter, you stupid girl!" growled Harrison.

"Stick to ... protocol ... bastard ..." muttered Luciana.

A black car rolled into the alleyway. Two men stepped out and saluted Harrison.

"Take her to the medical centre!" barked Harrison, handing Luciana over to the one that wasn't driving.

He watched, as the car drove away a minute later. Once they were out of sight, Harrison pulled out his cell phone, speed dialled one number and waited for a response.

"Agent Harrison here. I think I may have found one of them that may come willingly to us ... yes, I'm sure he will ... his name? Nathan."

"Agent Harrison here. I think I may have found one of them that may come willingly to us ... yes, I'm sure he will ... his name? Nathan."

A few minutes later, the energy of the magnetic disruption diminished and the alarm of the of Nathan's AI System stopped. Nathan slammed his fist against the desk as he clenched his teeth and frowned. He then desperately began to locate track down the source with the information he had but it was no use, the information gathered by the AI only lead him to the penthouse. Whoever was causing the disruption would be either dead or gone by now. Sighing, Nathan rose from his armchair and headed towards the glass wall. From there he could see the building where the incident took place. Nathan folded his arms and closed his eyes as he thought carefully about his next move.Suddenly, the phone on the desk began to ring.

Now what? I sure hope is not another meeting. I have more important things to worry about right now. To think that I had these elementals just within my reach and they just slipped through my grasp. If only I had used my powers to teleport there I would have at least gotten a glimpse of my target. Wait a second...if a battle took place, then evidence would most likely be left behind. Blood, hair, clothes, fingerprints...anything that could allow me to track them down using their DNA. I need to think this thoroughly and I would if only the damn phone would stop ringing!

Having run out of patience, Nathan kept frowning and grinding his teeth as he walked with heavy steps towards the desk. He first slammed his left hand at the desk and then placed his right hand on top of the phone. Before answering, Nathan inhaled and exhaled deeply to calm himself down and then proceeded to pick up the cordless phone.

"Yes?"- Nathan asked mockingly.

"Sure it was difficult getting in contact with you Mr. Kilmer, but I am sure you'll find our offer quite interesting. As we speak, one of our agents, Agent Harrison is with a certain individual I am sure you are dying to meet. This individual is no more and no less than the very same elemental who stormed into the penthouse a few hours ago. Yes Mr. Kilmer, you weren't the only one watching. I suggest you speak with Harrison personally since we don't know who else might be listening. You will soon receive the coordinates of the location of Agent Harrison as well as a contact number. That is all."- the call ended abruptly leaving Nathan with only the direction of a street and a contact number. Nathan then pulled out his touchscreen phone and began to browse through his inbox. Affirmatively, the information was there as promised. Nathan immediately pressed the virtual keys on the touch screen to call the Government's contact. The phone rung several times but finally it got answered. A grave male voice was on the other side of the call identifying himself as Agent Harrison. Curious about this approach from the government, Nathan decided to make the first move and place himself at the government's full disposition.

"This is Nathan. I confirmed the coordinates with your location Mr. Harrison, by using the satellite system under my control. Don't move, I will arrange a limousine to pick you there to bring you to my office. The personal guard will be escorting you. Bring that elemental with you as well. Perhaps we three could come to a mutual understanding..."

The conversation ended shortly, and then I called my secretary and gave her specific instructions on which limousine would be sent and which unit would be escorting Agent Harrison and the elemental. I wanted everything to run smoothly and without any setbacks nor delays. Finally having addressed the matters at hand, all I had left was to patiently wait for my guests. Of course, waiting was never one of my strengths, so I sent several of my own agents to investigate and collect any available data from the penthouse in which the magnetic disruption took place. The amount of energy used in that penthouse was great enough to leave a permanent and giant digital footprint for any tracking system to find it. If luck smiles on me this time, my agents would be able to intercept whoever remains in the penthouse. Unfortunately, it will take around half an hour for my agents to enter the scene, leaving a large time gap for anyone to escape. I can't do anything about it though. In the meantime I could concentrate on analyzing all the data collected by the satellites. Knowing the abilities used during that incident, as well as accurately identifying the owners will surely give me an edge in future encounter. I know for sure one is capable of reading and manipulating people's minds...perhaps I could ask the engineers to design some kind of shield against it. Still accomplishing that with the limited amount of data we have on that elemental will most likely take quite time to finish.

I walked back to the desk and took the chair, turning it to face the glass window so that I could watch the city. From there I felt like a god watching over creation from my throne. I tightened the grip on the armrests and grinned with satisfaction. I knew well that in time, all my effort would pay.

Harrison didn't have a chance to say anything during the conversation, but said yes here and there to confirm that he was indeed listening. Once the call ended, he speed dialled another number and waited for them to pick up.

"Agent Harrison here. You better have Agent Lightning all patched up by now ... why? Don't ask me why! You're on my orders and you're to dispatch her here immediately. She won't die, the girl's died far too many times to even do it now. I'm still in the same alleyway, track my coordinates and get your asses here!"

Five minutes later, the same black car that had taken Luciana away had arrived. The men in black stepped out, one of them helping Luciana out the car. She pushed him away and punched him in the face in retaliation.

"Do I look like a cripple, you insignificant bastard!?" she hissed.

"Now, now, Agent Lightning," Harrison rolled his eyes. "He's on my orders."

"I didn't need your help," growled Luciana, as the black car drove away and she walked to his side. "Thought you would've left me in there for a while longer, they were removing the glass shards."

"You're a big girl, Agent Lightning," he sighed, disappointed. "But no, I've made contact with another one."

"The one we've been tracking down for the last six months?"

"Correct. We've sent him an offer. I'm assuming he's accepting, considering that we're not to move and he'll be meeting us here very soon."

Lily ran into another woman with a terrified yelp and stumbled back, her eyes wide with terror and anticipation of more chaos and pain. She could even sense the woman's hand being on something at her belt, though she wasn't quite calm enough to be able to decipher whether it was something harmless, or a weapon. Worst case scenario, it would be a gun, and for some reason, the thought of her simply being on her guard terrified her. Lily had a memory of a gun. And it was something she would rather forget, and thankfully it wasn't within her memory.

"C-come this way!" gasped Lily when the woman she had run into asked her if she was alright. "There's a woman back here! I-I think she's hurt... or-or dead. I don't know!" She felt tears brimming in her eyes and she tried to fight them off, wiping them away. "Just p-please come this way! She's back here!" With that, Lily took off back the way she came.

Dies obviously saw that the girl wasn't in the best state to be of any big threat to her. Heck, she wasn't even sure if she was thinking straight as her eyes seemed like someone that has been traumatized. It was all over the place. Her hand did not waver from the belt. Particularly where the girl had told her to go into.

"C-come this way! There's a woman back here! I-I think she's hurt... or-or dead. I don't know!"

She knows the way some of the slummers worked. Use helpless kids lure targets into the alleyway and then a group of gangers ambush the poor bugger. However, Dies was not some poor sap. No amount of punks could beat her in a fist fight and if things look dire, her guns come in handy.

"Just p-please come this way! She's back here!"

Dies hesitated for a second before she saw the girl run back down the alleyway.

Hey! Wait up! Don't just run in.... Argh..... damnitall.....

There was no option really. Gritting her teeth and steeling her nerves and guts, Dies ran after the small girl, her hand never leaving her baton that hung on her waist. Maybe it was because she had her wits about or that she was just in better shape or her clothes were more suited in running, but Dies soon caught up behind the girl and quickly laid a hand on her shoulder, just in case she boosted off again (Would that constitute as god mod?).

Oi oi oi....slow down girl. You tell me to follow and almost lose me with that run? Now where is she?

While not a hospital, from her waist pack, Dies pulled a few first aid stuff out. As overly prepared as that may seem, life where she was was that rough.

"Correct. We've sent him an offer. I'm assuming he's accepting, considering that we're not to move and he'll be meeting us here very soon."

Not wishing to waste any more time, I decided that it would be prudent to meet them are their location considering the fact that their arrival here could compromise the secrecy of our "society". As I have ordered, my secretary arranged my limousine as well as an escort that will be following me discreetly.

Nathan then turned to his left hand to see his watch. It was around 10:30. 30 minutes before 11:00 am, I must be quick if I want to avoid the inconvenience of having to deal with midday traffic. With this in mind, Nathan left his office and walked hastily towards the elevator. He reached the elevator panel with his right hand and pressed the button labelled "Basement", which was the underground parking lot of the building. A few minutes later, Nathan was already at the Parking Lot. The chauffeur was waiting, a different man than last time. The new chauffeur was called Alex, he was a middle aged man, past 25 at least, who wore a small and neatly kept black mustache, thin eyebrows, and wore sunglasses. Alex opened the passenger's door as Nathan approached the limousine. Once Nathan entered, Alex locked the door and went to the chauffeur's seat. He then searched for his keys, placed them in the keyhole and started the engine.
Nathan looked back through the window and he could see how several men of his personal unit were entered their respective cars.

"Anette gave you the instructions, right?"
-Nathan asked the driver as he fastened his seat belt.

"Yes boss"-Alex answered while driving out of the parking lot and into the main street.

"Good, make it quick then. We must not let our guests waiting for too long."
- Nathan replied as he searched the limousine's small fridge for a bottle of cognac.

A sip of this might do me good now to help me deal with the anxiety. Who could blame me? After all, I am finally meeting the infamous elemental who is working under the government. To think that I wasn't the only one who was willing to sell his own kin in exchange for a place and privileges in this world. I already have enough power myself to acquire my own personal army in the blackmarket, much more if I hire people from the middle east. Afganistan, Iraq, even Colombian Rebels would work for me if I paid the right price. Of course, working with the US Government opens the doors to its allies such as the United Kingdom and Australia. As I stared at the glass of cognac held by my right hand I wondered what kind of person could be this elemental I am about to meet. Surely this elemental must this spy trained in the special forces. An ex-marine perhaps. Odd to see that there's not much traffic today which is good for me. At least I will be on time.

From within my car I watched the streets, the buildings, the street vendors as well as the usual people walking on both directions, always in haste and never allowing themselves to see around them. Their own concern is what matters, caring very little for the person next to them. Such is life in New York City. It seems we have arrived, finally. The chauffeur stopped next to a renown Italian restaurant which I remember spending several nights in it in company of fine ladies. Good times.

This must be my lucky day. I recognize that US Government vehicle. The man next to the black vehicle must be Agent Harrison, but I wonder who is the girl, in fact I am quite oblivious to the reasons why a girl would be working with the government. Unless she is the elemental which I highly doubt. But then again we leave in a crazy world and it is not the first time I've seen or met a child of war. Alex exit the limousine and then walked towards my door. He opened the door for me and then locked it after I left the car.
"Wait here." - I told Alex as I checked my appearance while staring at my reflection on the car's surface. One can never be too concerned about neatness, specially when meeting a federal agent. First impressions are always a double edged sword; they can either open great deals or create immense obstacles. Not that I should worry much about first impressions in a situation like this one anyway. After reaching the car where Agent Harrison and the girl were located, I prepared to formally introduce myself.

"Greetings,
madame andgentleman. I supposed you don't know me physically but you surely heard my name. I am Nathan Scott Kilmer. I suppose you are my contact with the government, am I correct? If so, it is a pleasure to meet you." - Nathan said as he extended his arm towards the agent for a handshake.

"Finally nice to meet you, Nathan," said Harrison, taking the hand and shaking it, whilst holding his polite smile steady. "You're indeed correct. I'm Agent Harrison. We spoke on the phone earlier."

Luciana noticed Nathan arrive on the scene before Harrison. Her eyes had been averted to where he was standing. She took in his physical appearance immediately: he appeared to be in his mid twenties, tall in height, short dark brunette hair. So he was the tall, dark and handsome type, huh? But none of that mattered to Luciana. She was beginning to question if she was actually capable of feeling anything now that she knew how it felt to die.

"And this is my partner, Agent Lightning," Harrison continued, releasing his hand from Nathan and motioning to her.

"Sanfield. Just call me Luciana Sanfield," she said, folding her arms across her chest. However, she did soon uncross them to extend her arm to Nathan.

Soon after greeting Agent Harrison with a firm handshake, Nathan engaged in a conversation with both representatives of the US Government. Having met Harrison before, Nathan sole attention rested on the mysterious woman accompanying the battle hardened agent. With curious eyes he gazed at the woman examining her from head to toe as he brought his hand to his face, holding his chin with his thumb and index finger.

The woman introduced herself as Luciana Sanfield, and by the tone of her voice she surely was no man's woman for she existed only to follow orders. Aside from her tough attitude and rough exterior, there was something which Nathan found captivating. He didn't knew whether it was her eyes or perhaps the way she replied to their first meeting.

Surely this must be the elemental sent to retrieve the targets that were located in that penthouse. By the looks of her current condition, it seems that either her targets escaped after keeping up a good fight or that she was attacked by two. Now that I think of it, the scanner recognized three different energy sources but it couldn't possibly identify which one was the greatest. Her wounds doesn't seem self inflicted, but since she survived I believe that she must have had the upper hand at some point and then suddenly lost it. I asked the administration of the hotel and they said the explosion was possibly caused by a gas leakage and that the surveillance cameras nearby where destroyed by the shock of the explosion. Of course, I knew it had something to do with that magnetic distortion field that was created there.

Still, regardless of her acidic behavior she surely possess some kind of charm. Maybe I should ask her out someday. Yeah right...It would be easier to directly ask her to slap me...

Nathan soon responded to Luciana by giving her a firm handshake as well. As his hand met hers, Nathan could not avoid feeling some kind of tenderness of her skin and for a moment, the seconds seemed like hours as thoughts began to rush through his mind.

It is really hard to believe this lady can hold within her such an amazing amount of power. Those eyes, that hair, the skin, traits similar to those of the models I've met in Paris, London and Venice. If it weren't for both the scanner or Harrison, I would have never guessed that tremendous energy came from her. Luciana Sanfield...surely a name I won't forget.

Unfortunately, she must also be a child of war and as such needs to be watched carefully. One wrong turn and he could turn against us. I wonder if "they" placed some sort of restrain as a way to have her loyalty guaranteed. I wonder what would she do if I...nah...I value my life a bit too much to take such a risk...

Nathan laughed faintly as he released Luciana's hand. He folded his arms and leaned his back against the car. After that he searched the inner pockets of his jacket to pull his pocket watch.

Almost 12:30 pm...gotta be quick...

Nathan thought as he placed the watch back inside his pocket. He then walked away from the car and approached Luciana until he was close enough to sense her aura without provoking her anger. The rhythm of the energy flowing within her seemed to attract him more rather than intimidating him.

"Ms. Luciana Sanfield. You sure hold as many mysteries as the myth of Pandora's box. Oh but how much I would enjoy to share a soirée with you under different circumstances. I know a restaurant nearby where the food is magnifique! Not a date of course, only a simple meal as comrades."
Nathan then sighed as he walked and stood besides Harrison. -"Anyway, I believe Luciana has information concerning the two fugitive elementals the government has been tracking down for months. I agree to cooperate my resources at your disposal." Nathan stated while smirking and then resumed his proposal-"Harrison, as you already know your organization works under strict confidentiality, and even though you have the support of the Secretary of Defense, your funds are not unlimited. Here's where I play my part. I've been investigating those two elementals as well, but haven't made much progress when it comes to getting their identities. Seeing that we hold two pieces of the same puzzle, the best course of action would be to join forces, after all, we both want the same thing." Nathan said as he turned his face to the street noticing someone spying on them.

That person...could he be with the elementals? If so I must make haste then

Nathan thought concerned about the leakage of information. "I believe this conversation is, sadly, no longer private. Now Agents, I will follow you wherever you lead. My men will follow us while keeping a low profile as a simple precaution. No one knows what could happen..." Nathan whispered as he returned his eyes back Luciana- "Very well, let's go."

...on a side note, this girl might believe I love the sound of my voice...and if she does then I am guilty as charged.

Luciana heard him laugh faintly, as he released her hand. There was something about this man that drew her to him. Perhaps it was his cool and laidback attitude. She saw him look briefly at his watch before approaching her once again. She didn't know what to think at this point. Her initial reaction would have been to attack and show him how he may have underestimated her. But no, this one was different. He was going to work with the government and that meant she would just have to follow orders more closely.

When she heard him speak directly to her, Luciana suddenly had the urge to listen. Now if it had been a date with him, then she would have surely given him a slap in the face. If she had been insulted further, then the sparks would have flown. Harrison observed Luciana all the while, observing her every move, expression and reaction. Once Nathan had said his first part, Harrison paid attention to the second part. It concerned himself and the government.

"We do want the same thing," he nodded in agreement. "All we want is for the public to feel safe in their own homes, their own city. Once their identities are known, only then can we start to achieve our goal." Like Nathan, he too noticed the person spying on their conversation. He saw them through the corner of his eye, but chose not to react. He didn't want to create a scene, nor did he want to give away that he and Luciana were government agents.

"I'll take that offer of a meal," said Luciana, her eyes never leaving Nathan. Not once.

"Then I'm coming with you," said Harrison.

"You need to go back to the headquarters and inform the superiors," she said coldly to her mentor. "I'm sure that they'd be interested in this ... alliance." She glanced at Nathan once more. "You lead the way since I'm not awfully familiar with the restaurants of the city."

OOC: I'll take us both to the restaurant to speed things up. ;)

And erm...where's the rest of the RPers? :sad3:

IOC: Nathan

"It will be a pleasure. I know this restaurant called 'Asiate' which excels in offering an artistic and modern approach to French and Japanese cuisine. I'm sure you'll love it."- Nathan replied with a slightly astonish look on his face which he difficultly tried to hide.

Nathan could have never expected Luciana to accept his dinning proposal, after all, he was only playing a very volatile wild card. Nevertheless he would surely seize this opportunity to push his political career with the help of his new connections in the government. The Presidential Office was merely inches away from his grasp. Even though the age minimum requirement necessary to run in the Presidential Elections would be a slight obstacle, Nathan had it covered as well. A few months ago Nathan had tracked down an elemental with the power to bend the reality in people's minds as well as exerting some kind of control over them. This is why capturing those elementals was his top priority.

After Rupert Harrison left in his vehicle, Nathan and Luciana were finally left alone. Without any delay, Nathan opened the limousine's door for Luciana and led her inside. Once inside, Nathan looked at the chauffeur and nodded while showing a gentle smile.-"To Asiate please and make haste. The lady here is not one we want to keep waiting."-Nathan uttered as he shifted his attention to Luciana.

"Oh, I see, very well. Don't worry Boss, you know that one thing I am good at is reaching my destination on time."- the driver replied with a smirk as he started the engine and turned on the left directional light. Surprisingly there wasn't much traffic by this time, so it wouldn't take the driver much time to reach the restaurant.

(facts) The Asiate Restaurant was designed by a renown designer Tony Chi. He used the Central Park as his main inspiration, crowning the interior with glittering tree-branches sculptures hanging from the ceiling mimicking the ambient of Central Park as well as featuring a wall which houses over 1,300 bottles of the best wine available in the restaurant's collection. The restaurant also has an impressive floor-to-ceiling views of the park itself, making it the best option for a lovely evening dinner. It was Tony Chi himself who decorated Nathan's penthouse which explains why Nathan visits this restaurant quite often.

Sure time flies fast, it was already 4:50 pm, a mere hour away from sunset. If Nathan was lucky, he could arrive and dine while enjoying a marvelous sunset. In the meantime, Nathan left his mind run freely and got himself lost in his own thoughts.

It seems that there's much more in Luciana than it meets the eye. Is it her rash yet collected behavior? Could it be the storm in her eyes? Or perhaps the maelstrom of her presence decorated by her vivacious blond hair? Surely Luciana is not like the rest of the femme fatale I've met before, nor like the other high fashion models which I used to date for entertainment. No, Luciana was something more. It is unbelievable, almost incomprehensible to witness such an amazing flow of power contained in those two beautiful blue gemstone, something like the eyes of a goddess. Someone like her shouldn't be working ...no she shouldn't be exploited by the government. How did she even ended up becoming their feared assassin? A woman like Luciana could have the world by her feet if she wanted, or perhaps she is lacking the right "friends". She is an ally I could never allow myself to lose. No, I will not lose her at all. Besides, in case my plans fail, I need someone to carry over with my empire and legacy as well as my...power. Yes, she will be able to control my power in case I am not longer in this world. But what if by granting her my abilities I open Pandora's Box? What IF I unleash a terrible power that could control the world under an iron fist? For this I need to know her better. I need to know who is Luciana Sanfield.

Eventually, the limousine arrived to the restaurant. The chauffeur stopped the vehicle before the entrance to leave Nathan and Luciana there while he parked the car. The driver exit the limousine and went towards the passenger's door. He then reached the door and opened it for Luciana...

Before Serenity had the chance to see the body she was presuming would be lying motionless on the floor, she stepped back, someone was… floating outside where her wall used to be. In the air there was a woman with a goofy look on her face and, goodness is that a camera?! Serenity didn’t know whether to be curious or rather alarmed.

Regardless, this was a strange turn of events. First she was attacked in her own home, and now some flying twit was accosting her with a camera. To make matters worse, the girl Serenity had gone out of her way to rescue had fled amid the confusion.

This is so not happening to me. Serenity groaned, slapping her hand against her face. She remembered her other unwelcome visitor, who was still standing in the corner, she has powers too, as does this new flying wonder. I should find out their allegiances, or at least, see if either of them knows anything about the madwoman I threw out of the window, Serenity mused, before taking action. Pointing her finger at the girl, she barked an order “You. Sit.” And then turned her attention to this new floating spectacle

"Hello there!" the girl’s voice sounded so joyful. Serenity immediately wanted to punch her, she was in no mood for happy children today.

“You. Put the camera away, do I look like I want a picture of this? And sit” Serenity barked, pointing imperiously at her couch.

She had an important phone call to make. However, she turned around and issued one last command to the other two girls before leaving the room “When I get back. You’ll either be sat down, or you’ll have gone, otherwise you’ll meet the same fate that insane woman did” Serenity slammed the door behind her, as she left the living room and entered her bedroom.

Serenity’s pacifistic values apparently didn’t apply to children, I hate children, she thought, scrambling through her bedside table for her phone, as one part of her brain screamed at her for betraying one of her core beliefs, while another (much larger) part simply wanted to make sure the children did what she told them to.

Grabbing her phone, Serenity flipped through the contact book until she came across the name she was looking for, Rhiann Altair. Dialling the number, Serenity waited until she heard a noise before speaking, not caring if it went to voice mail or if Rhiann was listening, Serenity began to talk, using her most formal voice -

“Rhiann. I’m coming over. You better be in, and if you’re not, beat me there. I know you still live with your Aunt. I may be a recluse, but I’m not socially retarded. There’s been… a situation; my staying here is no longer tenable. I may or may not have two children with me” Serenity spat out the word children as if it were a poison “But, I’ll be there soon. Make sure you tell security to let me in, I don’t want to cause a scene, but I will if I must. By the way, this is Serenity. Call me” She used her most flirtatious voice on those last two words, and disconnected the call without bothering to see if Rhiann would reply, or, if she had, indeed, been speaking to his voice mail the whole time.

She needed to see Rhiann. He always knew what to do, or say, to help Serenity out. If I stay here for much longer, I'm going to have a nervous breakdown. I can't take this all on my own anymore, I need help. Serenity took deep calming breaths, before opening the door to return to the living room...

Rhiann turned from where he was sitting on the couch, watching a pointless soap opera or something. He wasn't exactly watching it, and couldn't care less about it while waiting for something important such as the news to come on instead. A commercial break came, and with it loud annoying music that he wasn't up for early in the morning, and his hand shot out towards the remote, hitting the mute button after a quick glance at it. He knew everything around him well, as it was unchanging and familiar after several years of being there.

Right before he reached for the remote again to flick the channel to a news program, his personal cell phone rang and he snatched it up from the ornately carved table it was resting on. The voice of his long-time friend Serenity greeted him, and despite its agitation, it kept most if not all of the pretty lilting tone usually heard.

“Rhiann. I’m coming over. You better be in, and if you’re not, beat me there. I know you still live with your Aunt. I may be a recluse, but I’m not socially retarded. There’s been… a situation; my staying here is no longer tenable. I may or may not have two children with me, but, I’ll be there soon. Make sure you tell security to let me in, I don’t want to cause a scene, but I will if I must. By the way, this is Serenity. Call me”

Children... he would have to prepare a room that they couldn't destroy. It was rather impolite of Serenity to announce that she would be visiting unexpectedly and with children in tow. How unlike her.

He flipped the phone shut as the call disconnected and picked up the landline instead, dialing security and informing them of Serenity's impending arrival.

"Hello? Yes, this is Rhiann. A friend of mine will be arriving shortly, you'll know her when you see her. Her name is Serenity Elwood and she could possibly have two children with her. Please allow her to enter the grounds and escort her to the foyer. I'll meet her there. Thank you."

The phone made an awful clanging when he lightly dropped it down. Grabbing his cell phone from where it was resting next to him on the couch and rising, he walked briskly to his room for a change of clothing. Couldn't hurt to make a good impression again after two years, could it?

(OOC: Woo. It's 2am, do me a lovely favor and ignore any typos/slightly dyslexic mistakes I've made. I'm sure they're there, even if I did have someone read this over for me. It should at least be understandable. xD)

Safe in the knowledge that her new companion would be following, Lily ran into the alleyway where she had seen the woman stumbling into, sure she would see a dead body, impaled on the glass of the vehicle she had fallen into.

But she saw nothing, and nobody. Blinking disbelievingly, Lily stepped further into the alleyway, almost as though she was expecting the injured woman Serenity had thrown out of the window to materialize before her. But nothing happened, and the alley remained dark and empty, causing her to shiver from the night cold.

She turned around, looking at Deis a little frantically. "Th-there was someone here! I swear!" Not waiting for her answer, she ran past her, back into the city, massaging her head. She didn't get this at all. "Hello? Answer me if you're here!" Lily was aware of how insane she must look and sound, but she knew that she was telling the truth.

Lily knew that she would have to locate Serenity and that other powered person again. Much as they unnerved and even outright terrified her, she couldn't just stop here. There was something at stake. While Lily didn't know what it was- or couldn't remember, rather- she had to stay with this chaos, no matter how much it scared her. And so she moved back up to the apartment, steeled herself with a deep breath, and re-entered, hoping that Deis- who she could also sense was powered- would follow.

"Th-there was someone here! I swear!"

Dies was less than impressed. While no one jumped her in the alley, there was also no injured or dead person as to speak of.There was signs of glass and disturbance though, but that didn't change much. Dies crossed her arm and her face went from worry to a bit annoyed.

Listen here miss. Whats the big idea? Im actually rather busy... Hey, wait!

Like before, the girl ignored Dies and ran straight into the building in which she came out from. Again, she had a rather panicked and slightly crazed look on her which worried Dies. A long and extended sigh slipped between her teeth Dies face palmed herself and rolled her eyes.

Here we go again..... Hey wait up!

Dies took off after the girl and ran into the building, tailing her as close as possible.

Luciana barely acknowledged the look of astonishment on Nathan's face. She was merely going to see why such a man would want to willingly volunteer himself and his resources for the government. Now she didn't really question many things in her life, but there was a desire to do so since she had awoken from her deathly slumber. She wanted to question his motives, but found herself confused at wanting to do this at the same time. Her mind was beginning to tear down the emotional shell, one that she had been trapped inside from a very early age.

Once Harrison had decided to leave, Luciana was glad to be rid of him and be alone with Nathan. She stepped into the limousine and sat down as quickly as possible. She had to say that she was impressed with the standard of transportation he was offering her, but there was little to dwell on that since they were getting off to Asiate shortly. Seeing that Nathan was too busy thinking about numerous things, Luciana took the opportunity to take in the sights of New York City. It wasn't like she got out too much nowadays. She would often confine herself inside the headquarters where she lived and continued training to be the government's deadliest agent. That was her goal, but concerning recent events, she was still questioning everything.

It didn't take too long to arrive at the restaurant. Luciana noticed they'd stopped right at its entrance. She looked into the chauffeur's eyes for the first time, flashing a polite smile in his direction. As she stepped out of the vehicle, she smelt the fresh air. Luciana felt she was in a brand new world, one that Harrison had not let her walk in freely. But this time, she could prove that she was big enough to handle herself. The desire to prove her value was becoming increasingly frustrating. She breathed in and waited for Nathan to step out of the limousine.

OOC: Finally managed to get a hold of a computer. Next time I'll get an IPHONE! >.<

Ok, I'ma leading us to the table already xD

As for the restaurant...I won't go exactly by how it is in reality...:P
IOC:

It was an eventful evening at the Asiate Restaurant. Luciana emerged from the limousine first after the chauffeur opened the door for her and then Nathan followed. After exiting their carriage, Nathan approached the driver. "That's is good, we might stay here for a while so if you want to do anything in the meantime feel free to do so." Nathan said as he redirected his attention to Luciana. "Sure boss. If you need anything just give me a call and I'll rush back here in a second." The driver replied as he went back inside the limousine.

Finally at the restaurant, Nathan lead Luciana inside the building and they were greeted by one of the host. The host was a young man, possibly still in college, with short black hair, fair nose and brown eyes. He was wearing white dress pants and a white button shirt with a black Pratt knot necktie, a uniform which went well along with the formal dress code of the restaurant.

"Greetings madam, gentleman. May I lead you to your table?" the young man asked gently while looking at the table check list.

"Yes please, the usual." Nathan answered while keeping all his attention on Luciana. It was as if he were mesmerized by some kind of spell. Of course, Nathan tried to hide his fascination by shifting his attention to someplace else every now and then hoping Luciana wouldn't notice. The waiter smiled and then made a faint applause as he called one of the waitress who would be leading both Luciana and Nathan to their table. Nathan pulled one of his usual gentleman stunts by lifting the chair away from the table and helping Luciana to sit. He then walked towards his chair and took a sit while waiting for the charts.

The waitress arrived with two charts, one for Luciana and another for Nathan.

"Very well Miss Sanfield, it seems that I was successful in taking you away from the stress of the job. You would possibly kill me if I tell you that I don't have any intention on making this another one of my routinely business meetings." Nathan spoke softly as he searched through the chart. "I'll have the soup of the day please, and red wine." - Nathan told the waitress as he handed over the chart.

He then fixed his eyes on Luciana's and smiled faintly as he tried to avoid staring at her for too long. No matter how beautiful Luciana looked, Nathan managed to get a hold of himself and keep some of his pride.

"You are probably wondering why I invited you. You see, I am in search of a intelligent business partner. Someone I could place all my trust. I considered many candidates but all lacked the potential you possess. You have strength, determination, and the thirst. Yes the thirst for success, for power....prestige. I admire that. Of course all depends on you. I don't like forcing my wishes on people. I give them the options and they make all the decisions." Nathan stopped briefly as he waited for the waitress to fill his cup with wine and then resumed his conversation- "You see, I am not asking you to leave the government. I am just offering you a job. I need someone in the government who won't hide the truth I'll find out anyway. There's mistrust even among the very members of the government. The FBI, the CIA, the Secrete Service...always competing. But we don't need to compete, do we? Together, we will be able to achieve many things. If you help me in my little quest, I'll make sure your work does not goes unrewarded. I have friends of influence in the government, perhaps a promotion could be worked out if you decide to leave our partnership in the future. That would be a shame though...such a beautiful and intelligent woman as yourself are rare to find nowadays. But oh my, I do get carried away a lot. I haven't even given you a chance to answer. My apologies Miss Sanfield."- Nathan laughed as he took a sip of wine.

Luciana watched the driver leave her with Nathan and she followed him inside the restaurant. She observed their host, probably in college, with short black hair, a fair nose and brown eyes. She felt Nathan's attention, perhaps most of it to be fair, on her. But she did not let this distract her. She wanted to know what his motives were for bringing her here. It was not often that Luciana would be able to enjoy anyone's company, apart from Harrison. Yet Luciana had become tired and bored of having her superior with her almost all the time. Change was about to come.

She took in the atmosphere of the restaurant. She was surprised no one was looking at her. Even with a pale face as hers, Luciana couldn't help wondering why he found her so ... interesting. It didn't take them long to be led to their table. Luciana gratefully sat down when Nathan lifted the chair away from the table. Harrison never did that. Wait, why was she even comparing them both? She took the chart from the waitress in silence, still questioning why all of this was happening. Sure, Luciana was intrigued and yet she could not conceal her suspicions. When she heard Nathan speak, there was a confidence in the tone of his voice that was somewhat appealing to her.

"You're probably right that I would kill you," Luciana said casually, as she also looked through her chart to decide what to order. She would've normally ordered a mere drink during such casual business meetings, but this one was about to be different. There was something about it that she could sense it would be this way. She looked to the waitress. "I'll have a glass of water, please."

Ever since returning from her deathly experience, Luciana was not in the state to be eating anything. She almost threw up when she came back. Her power brought her back every single time, but this was the only time she could recall. It was strange.

Luciana listened closely to what Nathan had to say. An offer? She had potential? The compliments did nothing to appease her, but she found herself feeling rather self-centred in that one moment. Harrison never gave her compliments ... and then there were the comparisons again. Ah, so there was a choice after all? Wait, a choice? What was that? A whole new world was opening to Luciana and she didn't know what lay on the other side of the door. Would all this lead to heartbreak and destroy her? Or would she feel absolutely nothing from this?

He stopped briefly and watched the waitress pour wine into his cup. She also handed a cold glass of water to Luciana. Once she was gone, the conversation was resumed.

So this was it. He needed someone in the government, namely her, who he could trust with his life. Wasn't that something pretty big to be asking? They'd only just met and he wanted that already? Luciana considered the possibilities, as he sipped his wine. What was there to lose? Well, Harrison. But who really cared about that idiot nowadays? She was beginning to question everything about him. Her death and resurrection began to open new doors for her. Maybe this was another one to consider.

"I accept your offer," she said quickly, taking a sip of her water.

She placed the glass down and glanced around the restaurant, suspicious that there were government agents here now. However, she knew that they would have not followed her here since they feared her. Luciana breathed in and did not regret being so quick to answer. This was a chance. It needed to be taken.

"There's someone here," gasped Lily, looking around to look at her follower. "I think her name is Serenity, but she can protect us. There's something bad coming and we need to get away from it." Lily was aware that she sounded manic, but she knew of this new girl's power, and no doubt Serenity did too, with her abilities. And if that Luciana had somehow managed to survive her plummet, she would be back before too long, and the new girl had to be told of the danger.

"Please follow me. I'll tell you why later, but we have to move!" Shakily moving her hand to her forehead to wipe the sweat from her brow, Lily desperately hoped that she would go without question and follow her to Serenity.

"I accept offer" Luciana's words echoed through his mind as Nathan placed the glass down and stared at her. He then found himself caught in his own thoughts: I was surprised to see how she accepted my offer. We just barely met after all. On the other hand, she must be intrigued by the fact that I made such an offer without knowing much aside from her name and status as a government agent. I know my impulses made me take reckless actions, but in my current situation I can't allow myself to loose any potential allies. If I am to carve my path into the White House itself, I need allies...powerful allies. There was silence for a brief moment as Nathan's eyes were fixed on hers. Nathan then smiled and broke the eye contact in order to avoid his obvious -more than just "professional"- interest in Luciana.

"I am surprised to see you accepted my offer. I thought you were going to make it hard for me. Of course, we are just business partners. For now at least....perhaps in the future we could be...friends. Yes, good friends. You see, if there's something I value is the loyalty among friends and comrades. A loyalty among family. Semper Fi....always loyal." Nathan laughed faintly as he held the glass close to his lips and took another sip of wine. He then snapped his fingers to call the waitress. "More wine please." Nathan asked as he extended the cup towards the waitress. The waitress poured more wine into his cup.

Nathan put down the cup again and then brought his hands together as he payed close attention to Luciana's gestures. So much beauty containing so much power. I don't know what would I enjoy more: Kissing her or fighting her. Maybe both...- Nathan wondered as he enjoyed the wine's aroma.

He then smiled as for the success of this new association. With someone as powerful as Luciana in the government, it would be just a matter of time until he finds the few loose ends preventing him from gaining more control. Having nailed a few traitors in the FBI, CIA and the Secret Service, Nathan knew that the Pentagon could have a few rats as well that could be easily disposed of with Luciana's assistance.

Suddenly, Nathan placed the cup down and surveying the area with his eyes without drawing too much attention. He knew that these "agent rats" could have already infested the restaurant and could even be watching them. If his concerns were true, he would have to make haste.

"I believe this conversation is no long private. Shame...I would have enjoyed for more time your wonderful company. Of course, I do not intend this to be the first and last, I hope we can meet again."- Nathan searched inside his coat and pulled a small leather notebook. He searched for a blank sheet of paper and then wrote some instructions in it. Having finished, he tore the sheet of paper and closed his agenda, putting it inside his coat along with his pen. He folded the paper and passed it to Luciana.

"I will be busy tomorrow since I have a meeting with the mayor. However, I plan on developing our business relationship as fast as possible. Of course, no pressure on you. Feel free to get in contact with me when you feel ready. In the paper I left you my personal phone number, the real one."
-Nathan paused to laugh and then resumed- "Anyway, the name of your contact in the office is written in there. He will give you access to the first levels, you know, the area not meant for visitors but since we are partners now I don't see why you shouldn't take a look. Well I guess we should part ways....for now. Au revoir."- Nathan bid farewell as he prepared to leave. -"So...do you want me to take you somewhere or are you calling Harrison?"- Nathan asked innocently with a very playful tone.

The motorbike roared, as it sailed past the vast amounts of traffic effortlessly. The rider smirked behind his helmet, knowing that no force on this earth could stop him. However, as soon as the sirens came within hearing distance, he growled under his breath and pushed his engine into going faster than the speed limit. It was just another typical day for this seemingly ordinary rider. The rebellious young man had barely been in New York for ten seconds and the cops were tailing him! Anyone would have stopped and given themselves up. But then again, they weren't Hayden Alexandersson.

Bastards need to quit while they're ahead, he thought smugly. Too bad that they're really not trying this time. The ones in Texas were more fun ...

Despite his inappropriate thoughts, Hayden did not lose focus for a second. He swerved the motorbike into an alleyway. He briefly looked back for a split second and shook his head when the police cars had just managed to squeeze into the small space the alleyway had to offer. The motorbike roared the faster it went. Although the thrill of the chase was fantastic for him, Hayden much preferred the familiar feeling of victory when he'd evaded his pursuers.

However, it appeared that this chase wouldn't be obstruction-free.

A mother and her child appeared out of nowhere. Normally, anyone would have stopped to avoid injuring or possibly killing them. But as it had been pointed out before, they weren't Hayden Alexandersson. He raised his left hand in their direction, stretching out his palm. A gust of wind blew the pair in the opposite direction, enabling him to continue fleeing his pursuers and saving lives in the process.

The alleyway continued its long stretch.

"Time to get outta here," Hayden muttered under his breath.

Swerving to the left, he noticed an escape route. Revving the engine once more, he saw a long piece of cardboard stretching upwards over a metal fence. As he soared across and made the landing, Hayden stopped to look back at his pursuers once more. As his eyes turned a pure white, the cardboard that helped him cross over flew off and landed on top of the first cop car. It collided with the glass with a sharp smash.

Bullseye!

An hour later, Hayden came to a halt from up above. He removed his helmet, revealing his short blond hair for the first time. As he shook his hair to let it feel free in the open air, he opened his bright blue eyes for the very first time. With a muscular body and a height of six foot and five inches, Hayden Alexandersson may have seemed intimidating to the obvious eye. But his gentle nature had surprised many before.

As he put his helmet on the motorbike for a few moments, Hayden looked down from the Empire State Building. There was a burning fire of determination seen in his eyes for the very first time. It was rare, but it was most certainly there. Many would have questioned how he had reached the Empire State Building, but that led to so much more. Hayden stood at the edge of the building, his arms outstretched. The winds gathered by his side, ready to serve its master.

Hayden lowered his arms, his right hand clenching into a fist.

"City's gonna be mine for the taking if they keep it up," he said to no one in particular. "I'm gonna bring the party to them, all right. Time I stopped running. New York? You're gonna stop hiding her once and for all."
