I don't do it often, but everynow and then, I'l send a text to the person Im talking about instead of who it was intended for...like just now, I sent my mum a text because Id wrote, 'no, mum beat you to it' I had her name in my head, so off the text toodles to her little mobli

My friend is a nightmare for it, got herself in afew sticky situations aswel...

Anyone dropped themself in it this way? If so do share

I have done this a good many times >< It's bloody annoying when you send a text with certain "phrases" in and accidently send it to your mother, bad times... baaad times...

My pal had a big argument with her dad once and was slagging him off all night via text to me but she sent the final one --the worst of the lot-- to her dad instead of me (because DAD and DAVE were right next to each other xD)...in fairness, it was sorted out more quickly that way, but she felt quite awkward when her dad text back and asked "is that really how you feel?" Amusing. xD

I've done it once or twice, but only when I'm not really paying attention and the names are quite similar. Like Lucy and Lisa are right next to each other, and I have two Kathryn's, so I have to be really careful which one to send texts to there >_>

Normally I just find the last text they sent me and reply to it, rather than create a whole new one. Much less hassle.

This happened to me once when I was having two different text conversations with people at the same time. I accidently sent a text that was intended for a girl I was 'wooing' to her brother. Luckily it wasn't too explicit and I managed to convince her brother that it was a joke that I has with another friend of mine and that I sent it to him accidently. He believed it and said he had done similar things as well.

I've only done it a few times and it has generally been no big deal, except one time when I almost ruined someone's surprise party. But luckily I didn't go into too much detail so it was still a surprise and it all turned out alright.

I remember when I was staying at my ex's house one night and mum told me to text her if I was staying or coming home that night.

Anyway, by the time I remembered to text her I was really drunk, and I accidentally hit 'reply' to the last message on my phone. I ended up texting my friend instead of my mother.

So naturally my mum freaked out and my dad came looking for me, thinking I'd had an accident or something because I hadn't contacted them. (And I was too off my face to realise that they had been trying to call me.) Dad came over to my ex's house and we got into a huge argument because he saw me drinking etc.

He tried to take my car keys off me and I refused. So he left me there with my friends. I wish he had of taken my car keys, because that night, my ex's brother stole my carkeys from my bag and stole my car. He ended up totally writing it off. <_<

Never spoke to that lot of ex-friends again.

But that was the result of me sending a text to the wrong person. =D

Not so much that I wrote something bad, but that something bad came out of texting my friend instead of my parents.

Hahaha. Night out, got abit drunk, decided to txt a lass called Debra how much I loved her....it was the wrong Debra.

Txted a dealer for some green onetime....accidently sent it to dad.

and few others. some of which were saved by running out of credit.

Don't you just hate it when you realise you've done it and you see that fucking envelope of doom floating across your screen MOCKING you, I'm like noooooo, I have actually saved myself once by ripping the battery ou of my phone. I was meant to text my mum, but text my exes mum instead

Also, one time I'd copied my friends number down wrongly once, and sent a happy new year text to my friend, and got into a massive argument with this stranger via text at 2am in the morning ><

I've only ever done it once or twice, the other week when I text Dave about next seasons football, which he had no idea what I was talking about because it was meant to go to the father and then the odd one or two when I keep pressing the send button and sometimes I click the person who's on my most "Recent Contact" list >.>

I do it every once in awhile. If I have an unread texts from person A and person B in my phone, and I go to reply to the first text I received (second on the list), it still automatically goes to send it to the first unread text on the list. So there have been times where I sent a text to the wrong person because that person and another were texting me. Doesn't happen often though.

This happened to me once when I was having two different text conversations with people at the same time.

Same here. This happened to me once as well when I was 16. Basically I was in love with a friend of mine, but we never pursue a relationship for some reason even though the feeling was mutual. Whenever we would talk about 'us' we'd sometimes end up in an argument via text. So we ignored each other for awhile.

Anyway, I met a new guy (via phone) and we decided to finally 'meet'. I hung out with him in my aunt's apartment complex (yeah of all places...she made sure to 'babysit' me too) and after he left, I decided to text him. But somehow, someway...my text which said "I had a great day today, I miss you already" was accidentally sent to my friend. =/ I guess he had texted me right before I opened a new text and was asking if I was up for a movie with the rest of our friends, and I might have hit 'Reply' I don't know, but the text got sent to him.

So I sent him another text saying, "Omg, sorry I didn't know I was sending it to the wrong person. Um, yeah sure I'm up for it."

And his reply was, "You're stupid..."

We're still friends though.
