Not Answering phone? What's your excuse?

hahahaha i never bother with excuses. No one really seems to take offence when i say. couldnt be arsed. They know me well enough :ryan:
Il always ring back when i get the chance though.

^This. Sometimes I leave my phone in my room, especially when I don't expect any calls. Yet for some reason, that is when people call me the most. Also I keep my phone on vibrate so I don't usually hear it unless I am in the same room. I do usually call people back though.
 
Only time I dont answer the phone is if its mothership or some number i dont know, so if I dont answer chances are theres a good reason at work/asleep/signal fail/etc.

With mother simple excuse is always "I'm busy"
 
My mum thinks im dead when i dont answer my phone and havent rang her back within the day, she starts flapping if Im ignoring her for days on end because Im doing summat i shouldnt be doing and im the most APPALLING liar. Im amazed she hasnt had the police banging on my door before now

It makes me giggle just thinking about it

OMG. A few years ago, I had some guy call me in the middle of the night. He was making weird ass noises. So I just told him to fuck off and that it was 3 AM. So I hung up and he called right back. He was obviously drunk, because his best response was "Go suck an egg". I just simply said "Look dude, I don't know you. You sound drunk, it's 3 AM, and you're being rude" then I hung up and that was the end of it. Fun times.


As far as excuses, if I need an excuse, I tend to simply say that either "my phone didn't ring", or "I didn't hear it". I know that now and then when my mom tries to call me, my phone doesn't ring. I have an iPhone too...although, it's the first gen version, maybe that's why...I really need to get a new one. My volume buttons are FUBAR as well. The down button is jammed, so my phone likes to turn itself down randomly :awesome:

I get pretty annoyed when people text me though:

A) I hate texting
B) I don't get free text messages like all my other friends, no do I want free ones...I don't text enough to make getting a plan for text messaging worth it.
C) If you need something bad enough, just fucking call me...srsly
 
I say I was busy that day and forgot to get back to them.
when they ask what I was doing I say I had to help my mom run errands, or clean the house

I hate getting texted, and talking to people.
I kinda wish phones didn't exist
 
the phone is in the other room, and i'm busy. or maybe I'm so depressed that I don't feel like getting out of bed for 3 days :monster:

or my favorite

i have to go make a grilled cheese
isnt your phone cordless
uh... well, the power just went out so i have to go anyway :monster:
 
yeah. "I lost my charger so its been off for days" is a good one too

then i ring the person back
