We all loved ff -7 advent children, no question about that, but dont you think its time for another ff movie? Advent children was great action-packed movie, lot of folks loved it (even non-ff fans), so shouldnt that be enough for new movie? If you had the choice which game in the series would you like to use as story?

I think that final fantasy, as one of the best games ever, definetly deserves another movie, do you?

I think it's time to get cooking on another one, yeah. As for which to do a film sequel to, I suppose popularity would dictate that (AC kind of proved that). Personally, I'd go with either VI or IX. X was cinematic already, and already has a sequel without leaving much in the way of loose ends. However, maybe a film version of the Jecht/Braska/Auron pilgrimage might be nice.

XII was a little too anemic in the story department, but I'd say that would probably be the most likely for Square to do. Considering they're suddenly sequel-happy and are working on the Ivalice Alliance, I wouldn't be all that surprised to see that pop up as a future installment.

Please no. Sure, Advent Children was nice to tie up the loose ends left by FFVII but it was clearly just a money spinner by SE in which they showed off their CGI abilities. It was an average movie at best.
So hopefully SE don't bother with another such venture, and concentrates more on working to better the future FF titles.

i think that if they were to make another movie that they should make one about FF-VIII. I would love to see how they would summon GF's in a movie like that and FF-VIII would make a movie with alot of action plus there is already a story for the game that is filled with trouble and good little bits of things. for example having the movie start out where they are still just students without much real trouble learning in the garden, the romantic like dance/ball or whatever for the girls to enjoy, and then the rivalry between squall and that one guy(cant remember name at moment srry..). in other words they could pretty much take most of the story-line from the game and turn it into a pretty decent move, but they would have to cut some of the stuff out to make it more actiony and maybe add some more things in order to leave a sense of mystery, suspense, and the adrenalin(no clue if i spelt right) of the fight seens to keep people watchin!

You really think FFVIII would make a good one? Honestly?
I'd say that FFVIII would be the poorest choice. The story wraps up nicely at the end, and nothing is really left unexplained. There is very little left to the imagination. Sure, a prequel might seem like a smart choice, but what could it offer? The main character's childhood? That would be pretty uninteresting if you ask me, especially seeing as it's made pretty apparent that they lead normal childhood's, until they went their separate ways later on in life.

I've spent my whole life wanting an amazing FF movie to hit the big screen, but there is one thing I finally learned. Final Fantasy isn't meant for movie form. I would rather Square not waste their time on another movie, and just keep working on making FFXIII as successful as possible.

i'd love FFVIII to be made into a movie. It is definately one of the best games in the series and i'd like for a film to be made to explain more of the story behind FFVIII

I dunno, maybe Kingdom Hearts?

I'd prefer SE's time be spent on making sure FFXIII and Versus XIII get finished on time and to the standards we all expect it to be done by

I think a FF VIII movie would be great. Prequel or not I would love to see how the characters look like and of course their voices(this one depends on Square Enix's choices).
But as stated above I think they'd better work on FFXIII or on converting their games on other platforms or PC as well.^_^

Advent Children was good enough, but another movie? I wouldn't really mind if one was made or not. And honestly, an FFVIII movie would be better. That and IX are often seen after VII and X. You might as well give em a chance.

I've said it before and i'll say it again...A FF8 MOVIE MUST BE MADE! Sure it's fanbase isnt as big as 7's but the people who love it and consider it the best in the series (Myself included) want to see a movie so badly.

Why are people ignoring the fact that out of all the FF's, FFVIII is probably the one that wraps everything up so nicely? There weren't any loose ends left over, so it's next to impossible to write a good story out of it.
"It has fans" is not a good reason for a film...

I agree with Pooley unless a film is made of the actual game itself it would be a complete waste of time.

That is a pretty bold statement to make because I have known many who have disliked the film - Myself included.

Again, no. I would not like to see another FF movie.

Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within - Dreadful

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children - Not as bad, but still bad

Square Enix should stick to trying to improve the games as, in my opinion (Notice how I said in my opinion) as the last few titles have been pretty poor. No more movies.

My grandma didnt like it too... :)

Yeah I probably shouldn´t go there writing "we all loved it", but I knew a lot more people who liked it other then disliked. None-the-less I will try to be more accurate when using such statemants.

By the way I agree that "Spirits Within" is pretty laim (my opinion)..

English Voice acting, thats what dragged it down for me,it was appauling "Dilly dally shilly shally" oh come on! dialouge like that is what brings this film down.

Ahahahah! That was great! Tifa's voice was terrible dubbed.
I didn't like AC either. It was cool to watch but it was nothing special.

I agree, if there is going to be another Final Fantasy movie it should at least fit in within the plot of the game. Final Fantasy should be left the way it is anyways.

You should probably speak for yourself when you say that YOU loved Advent Children. I, however, could've lived without it. Now I'm not saying it was bad, I'm just saying it was unnecessary (as was DoC). The end result of both turned out to be bland at best and actually took away from the experience of having played the game and loved it.

I would not like to see another movie, tbh; unless it was amazing and new and original and fresh, which I highly doubt it would be after seeing what they came up with in AC. As for a completely different Final Fantasy game, I think they should refrain from making films and stick to honing their skills at developing characters, plot, action, and everything else that requires making an amazing game.

as a cgi artist i thought that AC was awesome and i think that it would be awesome if they would make another movie. imo i think that they should either do FFVI or IX. to me those would be the best to make a movie out of.
