I know that Final Fantasy has a character like her in most of its installments (the bouncy, comic-relief female), but they weren't so blatantly two-dimensional, in my oh-so-humble-opinion.

I haven't completed the game yet, but I think there is. She plays dumb and acts like a kid, even though she has
the physical age of 19
, but she's
aware of much more than she lets on for most of the game
. In fact for the majority of the game she
is the only one who has any idea of what might be going on
. She
blames herself for what happened to Dazh and for the whole incident on Cocoon which started off the game, but she doesn't tell any of them until much later, and
pretends that all there is to her is the hyperactive childlike girl. In my opinion, while this is also her personality, there is a lot more to her than that, she just doesn't feel obliged to throw everything at the other characters. Unlike Hope who does let the party (and the player) know about his pain more often.

Hope is a major ham. I just cant believe Snow couldnt feel his hostility the limited time they were together.
 
I think Snow may
have noticed, deep down, but tried to ignore it and continue to act the hero as he was struggling to deal with it himself. When Hope finally let it all out it didn't surprise Snow as much as it should have done if he hadn't known or guessed beforehand
. So he may have noticed something was up, but perhaps he didn't know the full extent of it.
 
I couldn't really read your post Argor because of the spoilers, but thanks for trying to explain, anyway.

However.

I'd like to say that in spite of any possible redemption Vanille may get in future parts of the game, from where I'm at right now (Chapter...5?), I can safely admit that if I were to meet her in real life, I would never get tired of punching her in the face.

Screw that lame sexist character.
