I take it you're starting out or....?
Either way, I see the colors in these sigs are vibrant and eye catching, that's more then enough to draw attention to the image, but then when one looks at it more closely, they're maybe a little too messy, like the effects are coming and going and the focal points for these images are scattered everywhere. In some of them the focal point seems to be fine which means the flare or the brightest point of the image is right on the center where the render is.

In most of the images, I see you put color overlays over the entire thing which can sometimes block the original render from being seen, try to avoid that, it makes it harder for the viewer to recognize the stock used.

I recommend following a few tutorials regardless of the software you use, I'm sure that after a little more practice improvement will show. ♥

I have been at GFX for like months, a whole year i believe. But yeah, guess i tend to use overlay's a bit too much xD; i will try to fix that. thanks for the CnC, greatly appreciated. :highfive:

After glancing through your thread, this is one of my favorite things. It's bright, but the colors are fitting. Sora is well blended, although he looks a bit odd... do you have the render duplicated and placed twice? It's a little too bright for me, as I tend to lean to darker pieces, and I'd like to see some text on it... unless you have text and I just can't see it.

1zei81i.jpg

Dear god, SO BRIGHT. The idea is lovely, but it is FAR too bright. Lower the brightness on the whole thing, and maybe the contrast as well. I quite like the idea, it's just that I can barely tell what's going on.

4qq43m.png

This, I like. The text is super hard to read, and the big-ish bright spot throws me off, but other than that, it's great. I love the radial blur on the edges, I'm such a fan of that technique... technique that I never see, that is :brooding:

11w9i7b.jpg

Baaaah, give me something dark and smooth to look at XD It's quite bright again, and I don't like the images on the sides there. I don't mind the main image, but try not to have your signatures be so busy, okay? :D ALSO. TEXT. IS. LOVE. Horrid to place, but you'll find an addiction to it, I swear >.>

I've grouped these two together because they appear to be the same sig, only one has text. I find them far too bright again, I can't even tell who it is very well... I THINK it's Terra of KH: BBS.. can't be sure though. The background is quite interesting, actually... if only it wasn't so bright XDD The text is quite off, I can barely read it... I think it says "Sleep gives away to -something- fate" The color just doesn't mix well with the rest of the sig. I like the amount of color you've used though.

30kyvll.png

Ewwww it's ExDeath, isn't it? XD Hate him -__- But I won't let that get in the way of the fact that I like the sig :P The text is a bit difficult to read, and the whole thing is bright yet again, but I like it a lot. The blues look lovely.

fohqfn.png

Bleh, I don't like this one. It looks quite pixelated to me, and basically.. see my comments on the other two that this one resembles.

v3ofev.png

I like the color scheme going on, but it looks pixelated to me again =/ If it wasn't pixelated, and maybe had a border and text, it'd be gorgeous.

9qldsi.png

Ooooh, this I like. The purple-ness of it looks nice, and it's no longer pixelated. Slap some text and a border on and I'll glomp it for you ^_^ Oh, what's the weird thingie on the right side? I don't like it >.<

kuramasigcopy.jpg

THE COLORING. THE COLORING IS EPIC LOOOOOOOOVE. I love that color scheme sooooo much, I use it all the time. It looks quite unfinished though... TEXT I TELL YOU. TEXT AND BORDERS.

kuramasigcopy.png

This one doesn't strike me as much with the coloring, really. I adore the bluish brown tint of the last one, but the orangy thing we've got here... not so much =/ Text, my love, TEXT. TEXT TEXT TEXT I WILL SHOUT IT TO THE WOOOOOOOOORLD.

So, overall, I'd like to see text and darker things from you :ryan: OH AND BORDERS. That is all <3

Yeah text has never been my strong point, so i dont really use it as often as i should. Also, borders IMO are outdated, and overrated :gonk:; which is why I don't use them anymore. However, having said that, i might find some use for them in the near future. Nevertheless, thanks for cnc on each tag, greatly appreciated :reptar:

These three are my favourite out of the bunch.

I like the style you're leaning towards.

These three best represent that style a lot more clearly.

You've blended them really well and the textures are simply lovely throughout.

The colours look great and the detail is fantastic.

I noticed that in some of your other signatures that there was a bit too much going on though. Too many colours, too much detail or the text being a bit out of place. But other than that you're coming along well. =)

Sweet work man, i love it, i hope you can hook me up with a set sumtime,

if yu feel like doing some work now, yu could check out my request

I'd much prefer the first version.
Its less bright and you can see the render a bit better, ya know sometimes there is such a thing as over blending *has done it so many times* x.x;
Anyways, try to keep the render as clear as you can, but you did keep anything out of his face which is a good thing, ya should never cover the face. =)

Well, I can call this a good attempt. Its not horrible, far from it, it just needs a bit of work I'd say. The colors seem to clash, they might be a little too bright and really, I don't blame you for the signature, the render you used is really hard to work with. The blending of the image is alright its just seems a little forced. I'd say this is a step down from your other works, but eh nothing to worry about. ♥
Maybe there are so many colors that drift away from the render, I can't put my finger on it & I can't seem to be able to find the words to help you...but I think the main issue might be the colors used.

I like this version better. I've always been a sucker for warm colors. I like the flow of this one and the image is well blended into the background. The focal point is well established I'd say. I think maybe you should have added some text to fill in some of the empty spaces or merely to draw more attention to the image. Either way, its a good image.

This one, the colors are everywhere there doesn't seem to be any flow in this, its like you made a background with a render slapped on it and later just splashed colors on the top. The colors don't go with the render either, dear. The render is blended into the background just fine but...the colors you used don't even let me tell well what is it. I had to actually lean forwards on my chair to see who it was. I'd advice you to keep brush strokes away form the face of the character and away from any key points. Key points meaning points that identify the character. Don't cover them too much.

Well, I hope I helped you in some way or another, its hard for me to find words, good words to be exact. Either way, keep going, with each signature you make your skills will improve, & I know you can do better. ♥

Well, the effects are nice. I really like how the flow is like shooting up from under the dog thing...
But he looks way over contrasted. Or too red maybe. He doesnt go with the rest of the colors. Maybe use some gradient maps. You need a better focal or lighting... my eye wants to look at the area to the left to him.

There both too dark. Though V1 is probably the best. There just much to dark... lighten up the girl a bit. V1 has nice background effects. V2 is too plain around here

brotag.png

I know a small update :gonk:, but bare with me.
The effects are nice, but the rainbow gradient kills it. It doesnt really go with the sig. And it covers up your render a bit to much.

A vertical sig, always a nice change. ♥ The colors are very nice in this one. The blending is very nice, very well done. The placing of the render is good, too. The lighting is okay as well. In the end, its a good image, pleasant to look at. Its simple and pleasant. ♥ One thing I'd have to say about it, that it might perhaps be a little too simple, it doesn't ya know...'pop' out from a crowd but that's alright, don't worry about that too much right now.

Keep going at it. ♥

Very good sig, especially when vertical sigs can be extremely difficult to make. The lighting on this is fantastic and I think it's been used in an effective way by being placed in the right positions. The stock is a nice one to work with. The effetcs on the whole are brilliant and the colour scheme runs throughout, great job! I'd possibly consider a 1 or 2 white px border on the top on bottom, but that's down to preference. Awesome work, keep it up! :D

I prefer this version. =D

For starters, great work considering this is a vertical signature, which I've never done myself because I've never felt that confident. >_<

The two colours work well together and the blending is done beautifully.

Fantastic lighting! It's in all the right spots and really makes the signature feel alive!

I love the effects added in there but I think that it needs some kind of border. I just think that if it doesn't have text it needs a border and vice versa.

Other than that great work!

I prefer your first version of the vert tag ken. I think its all in better focus. IN the second theres alot of colouring and effects over the render/stock and they dont go well with one another and kinda take away from the presentation.
I really like the lightingm in particular the lighting around his hand its add a lot of depth and it looks convincing which is a big plus. I think like others said aswell, a border would be nice. It kinda feels cut out atm. i think even just a small 1px border would help make it look complete.

Nice work, keep posting ken ;)) oh and hit me up for that collab when your ready -__-

I do prefer the first version, it was simpler. Sometimes the effects could become overwhelming on the signature and I think in this case it happened. There's too much going on the signature in my opinion. I think the colors became a little bit more overwhelming.
That's okay, though a little of trial and error. Keep at it. ♥
